the castoreum actually comes from a bevers butt. it is also used in artificials vanilla flavouring. but i'm pretty sure it's just artifically recreated now rather than coming from a bevers butt

Every now and again the soap in a local community centre or pub smells like the soap at a tattoo studio and suddenly I'm like 'i need to book some ink'

a good few years ago my tattoo artist gave me a green soap scented car air freshener in the shape of a tattoo machine and I LOVED that smell. I still keep it on my wall because it looks cute but sadly it doesn’t have a smell any more 😆
edit; I just looked them up and turns out they’re made by another scottish tattoo artist local to me - think I’ll be able to get my hands on some!!

Tincture of Green Soap is just fragranced with lavender oil so I'm surprised they didn't include any lavender in it.

I was trying to mix my own mojito fragrance, and I added about one drop of bay rum fragrance and it TOOK OVER. It was all I could smell for like three days! There’s nothing worse than a nice strong sense you hate. 😂

I've just been getting into perfume in the last few months! I don't really buy any (I'm broke lol) but I love reading about it and looking at Fragrantica.
I think I'd love more content on this! Maybe dark themed (indie?) perfumes to fit with your vibe. Scented candles are also always welcome!

You can nullify scents by smelling coffee (powder or beans) or even an unperfumed spot of your skin up close.
As for male vs. female scents, as a trans dude I always think about how Arab men, who often are very hyper masculine or at the very least idealise being hyper masc, like scents based on Jasmine and other flowery notes. If they can pull it off, so can I. My favourite perfumes are Armani code femme and Tommy Hilfiger Christmas Edition (I think that is discontinued though).

Some of the comments on it are brutal lol 😅 that website looks incredibly helpful particularly pictures of the scents ❤ I am a smell avoider and possibly allergic to them- perfumes tend to cause skin irritation and headache 😢

I've been thinking of this idea for a long time, because the aroma in tattoo studio is quite therapeutic for me. I am surprised it already exists! I want to buy the stencil stuff the studio use so I can smell it😂

I hate anything scented because I have migraines, so I've never bought perfume before. This is was an interesting look at the process. Ha.

Ah I’d love to but sadly my hairdresser did my hair for this look - filmed this on the day I got my extensions put in! There’s no way I’d be able to do this look myself 😂😩
