Love Neil Young! Always wanted to Play His Music, because he is Unorthodox in what he does{Like Me}, he doesn't repeat the same Riff's, he's one of a Kind! Thanks for the Lesson!
From all the lessons I watched from others too, you have a great style of explanation without too much beginnersstuf and oversimplification. For people a bit more advanced (not experts) this is very pleasant to follow.
Great job. Very clear instructions. I hate using a pick. I know I should start to practice with one. But it feels to mechanical and not as organic. I can get by with using my thumb for base notes and plucking the single notes. And using my index finger fit the strumming. Your thoughts on this would be interesting. Cheers Brent
Looked at lots of you tube videos for instruction on beginner or somewhat simple learning methods and you are by far the best i found . Started with your main page video for strumming and this is next . Best regards from île du Cap-Breton !
Finally i get this great song and their strumming thanks to your lesson!! Please continue with the rest of the song!!! just i miss a tab in the video, it would be easier to get it... But your explanation it´s very clear and understandable (and I´m not an english speaker).
You are a superb teacher. Crystal clear and well paced lesson. You are also a natural communicator and you stop in the right place - leaving us wanting more. (Great accent too!)
Hey Mark, I found your site not to long ago and after the first few videos on strumming I knew I had to subscribe. You lessons on strumming are great so I checked out this song today. I got to admit I was not familiar with the song but I like it and would really like to learn the rest. I really liked the lesson and will check out the songs you teach now. Your now a part of my regular guitar practice and you have a new fan now. Keep up the good work.
Hi Mark - picking up the guitar I bought a year ago to give it another go - found your channel - subscribed. Your videos are awesome. Easy to follow, like all the extra tips in each, but never too much to try at once. Cheers, Ian.
Great teacher. The lesson is at a speed that a beginner can follow. I have tried learning this intro from other so called tutors , and always ended up with something missing.
Thanks. I ave been working on your 5 essential strumming pattern series; which I find really helpful (I don't struggle too much with chords, it's keeping a solid groove going that is difficult for me). Hey Hey, My My is the first of your lessons I have worked on. Please provide a follow up lesson to complete the song for those of us that aren't proficient at improv. Thanks.
I would love to learn the rest of this song!! If you have time, please make a video of the rest of the tutorial. Thank You! Your videos have helped me improve so much.
Hi, Mark, I'm learning a lot from your lessons thx, Id like to learn the rest of Hey Hey My My Neil Young when you can, I would much appreciate it. Great tutorial for the beginner
Hey hey Mark! thanks for the lesson. Very clear as always.I really love that song and I am hoping will upload the rest of the lesson very soon. Great job Thanks Rom
G'day Mark I know you say you should use the correct fingers but in your intro run through you seem to use the middle finger and slide it down to the third fret rather than use index and middle. (I could be wrong ;o)
Hi Mark, Still plugging away! Like the way you explain this lesson, and I'm viewing more! Do you have the Rest? I know everyone teaches different. Having some Issue's with Needle and the Damage Done? Do you have a Lesson?
Excellent lesson . I tune my guitar down a whole step to D. I want to get a Harmonica to play Neil Young songs. What tuning should I get for the Harmonica?
HI Mark, cheers for this, I've been using your Jamorama programme as well, you make it so easy, the lessons are top notch. After you finish uploading the rest of this song could you do Old Man? Mike from 2/1
Hey would you know what level of guitar this song would be? I find it really simple but my guitar teacher says it’s one of the most difficult we’ve done (and we’re doing much more complex songs)
Out of all the lessons I have watched on RUclips regarding this classic Neil Young this is the best. Thank you
