Just for my first acoustic guitar from my father in law who plays. I always wanted to play, but my parents never got me one growing up, and they never believed i could learn. I was about to buy one when my in law said he had another one. I'm so happy and excited to learn. It seems to late for me at my age, but why not. This is my fav song by Neil, and I've always wanted to learn it..I hope I can learn from this man. I like how he explains everything. I was looking at a couple of people online, and his lesson is best.
It is NEVER to late to learn. I started learning guitar around May 2022 and I was 64 almost 65 years old. Took off from 9/23 to this month due to wife being sick, she is better now so I am gettin back to learnin guitar. Always loved listening to Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash, Led Zeppelin growing up as I LOVE music. Learning guitar now makes me MORE appreciative of all the talent of those that play and rock out.
I concur with the previous comment, I follow Justin's lessons and Swift guitar also Marty Swartz, however I have found this tutorial the best. Thank you very much..
Thank you! I have to agree with the other comments, your tutorial style is the best I’ve ever seen. Camera angles, tab overlay w/highlights showing where you are, you’re very, very clear and slow just where it’s needed, I could go on and on I am grateful to have found you (PS Bonus that this my favorite NY song and I will now play it better than ever!) You rock!
Your style makes a song so learnable - very Agile approach! Start small and brief, inspect your outcome and adjust, and build on that. So simple! Took me back my days learning the cornet in youth band. Thank you so much!!
Dude I havent watched it all yet, but the fact you show chords and whata going to happen and even keeping it same tuning I had to comment I appreciate it. You're THEE man
I was able to play this riff, but not smooth, now from the simple version I'm trying to build a good advanced version, a technique I can use also with other songs. My major problem is to remain in the strumming pattern. Tank you, thank you, thank you
Thank you, I’ve been playing the guitar on and off for about two years, watching this video, I’ve learned more and had more fun than the last two years. You have a new subscriber.
I like this way of teaching and learning songs. I wish more instructors would first go through the basic chord and strum structure of songs and then progressively add layers of complexity. A lot of rolling Stones songs would be much easier to learn like this, for example.
I learn the song '' lonesome town '' fucking awesome Tutorial , and now i see you make a lesson from my favourite song :) Ganz stark. Greeting from Munich
Very good teacher u r because u teach very slowly so everyone one can learn all the tab and strumming I like it I am from Texas keep it can u teach some Jim Reeves song. P.ercious lord take my hand that’s my request
Great lesson. But why does the tab not show any fingers on the 5th or 6th strings for the G chord strumming part of the riff? In the video he clearly does have his ring finger on the 3rd fret of the 6th string (in addition to his pinky on the 3rd fret of the high E string, which is on the tab).
The pace, the content, the breakdown of this song… fantastic. Just the job, thank you!
What a great teacher you are. They way you talk us through the counting is extremely helpful.
I teach (Not Music/Guitar etc) it's my profession and you young man have 'it'. Your tutorials are Excellent. Thank You.

with this tuning of the guitar, which note of harmonic should be used?
Carlos Olivares I use a Bb

Great lesson. But why does the tab not show any fingers on the 5th or 6th strings for the G chord strumming part of the riff? In the video he clearly does have his ring finger on the 3rd fret of the 6th string (in addition to his pinky on the 3rd fret of the high E string, which is on the tab).
if you take the a minor out along with the g, I thin it sounds better
Thanks for another amazing lesson! But as a personal memer I would love it if you did all star by smash mouth
Oh great!? Now where did I put my truss rod allen?
What does it mean in tablature that the numbers are between (0)?
Its a good habit to alernate pick all the time it helps the listener feel the time and its just propper technique.. dont ask why...trust me lol
