Hi, I'm Mark and I've been teaching and playing guitar professionally for 26 years now, and I've picked up a lot of insights along the way; things I wish I had known when I started out. That's why I started this channel - to share this knowledge with you.
But this is more than just a place to learn guitar. It's also place where you can hang out, relax, be yourself, get support, make friends and get inspired to have more fun with your guitar. So go ahead. Pick up your axe. Hit play. And be a better guitarist.

Ah mate, brilliant! I've been battling with this, and the penny just dropped - its the open chords when I dont use all the strings! Muting with both hands is the answer. Here we go!
Great teacher, one of the best in youtube, greetings from Brazil
Thank you!
Hey Mark, I learned a lot already from what you did with jamorama, but now with theses videos I also learn a lot about strumming. It's always interesting, never boring and made with humor. I am 64, I gave up many times, I started again with you and I enjoy it again. Thanks!

Hi Mark, I hope you are doing well. This now makes sense...... I am still terrible at it, but I didn't even think to karate chop strum it vs the 90 degree karate chop I had been doing... Thank you!

Mark, what are some beginner friendly songs that use this technique?
Listen to ‘Night Moves’ by Bob Seger. Almost a dead ringer for the rhythm Mark teaches here.
