    Good review but... felt you really skipped over the most important aspect, sound quality. From the unusually limited description of the SQ it's difficult to work out whether this offers superior sound compared to the other speakers in your recent group test, especially as your first plus point was about its design!

    Got mine yesterday on sale online for 150$ for this price it is absolutely worth it. Love the beautiful sound coming from speaker so compact and small. I don't really care bout mics or Alexa or any other features. When I buy speakers I mainly care about the sound for my music 🎶. And the music sounds so good from this device. The clarity is amazing. No it's not gonna be the loudest and not the most BASS that u can find but what makes this speaker special is that signature clear sound of the music. Loud enough for me and great amount of BASS. The way the music is meant to sound. I love this.

    Great, thank you.
    Noting your comments about the microphones, does it work with the popular VoIP apps like teams, skype, whatsapp and the normal telephone? The Bose micro does NOT work with anything except teams on a PC (not Android devices). Very annoying.

    • @Mr.Beastforpresident
      @Mr.Beastforpresident 3 года назад

      @@anastasiap8811 The Soundlink has better quality sound for a smaller space.
      The Emberton is good for outdoors, meaning it’s not so much louder but fuller sounding.
      Picture an EQ with Treble 5 Mids 10 Bass 10, That’s how the Emberton sounds VS the Bose Treble 8 Mids 7 Bass 8.
      If I had to pick one, I would get the BOSE with carry and protective sleeve case. The Bose is skinnier, shorter and more narrow but slightly longer.

    Great sounding speaker but if you drop it on it’s side it will shear off 2-3 speaker posts inside, then the speaker will sound terrible with heavy bass. How do I know this? I bought a second hand one, set it all up and I wasn’t impressed with the sound, sounded a bit like a cheap speaker with tears in it!! Noticed a small dent on the edge of the speaker grill so decided to take it apart. 3 of the 5 posts that hold the speaker to the base of the unit were sheared off causing the speaker to vibrate the body, not nice at all. Used epoxy resin to glue the posts back into place, once dry rebuilt the speaker, I also cut up some sponge and forced it into the recessed screw holes then covered them with gaffer tape, speaker sounds awesome now as it should, I wouldn’t say the build quality is that good as I said, the slightest bang on the edge of the unit will break it. If yours is sounding crap especially with bass, the posts will be broken.

    hi - what is the spec used to convey max volume? I'm wondering if this is as loud or louder than my beoplay S3? But in general I like to know if certain speakers are able to attain a certain volume level and I have no idea which spec to refer to! Thanks!

    • @FourgonLeGrand
      @FourgonLeGrand 2 года назад +2

      You have to see the watts. The B&O A1 (Gen 2) has 2, 30 watt drivers, hence, a total output of 60 watts. The beoplay s3 has an output of 240 watts, so is louder. Hope this helped!

    Looking for a portable speaker to relace my jbl clip when cycling. I intend to put in the back pocket of my jersey so my mates can hear the music. Noticed that the clip's sound is not too loud to be heard all the way to the back. Would this be a better option? Or could you recommend an alternative with the same flat-ish build?

    • @KorekFrost
      @KorekFrost 3 года назад

      Which JBL clip do you have? Maybe the 4th gen clip or go 3 would do the job? If you want something to carry in your pocket It shouldn’t be heavier than 250 grams. That b&o speaker weights half a kilo so your jersey would probably be very stretched and it would be uncomfortable for you. If you have a bicycle bottle holder you could put a Jbl flip 5 in there which would provide better sound than the previously mentioned ones.

    • @madbadger85
      @madbadger85 3 года назад

      Too heavy to carry really and if you drop it ever so lightly, it will break trust me, it’s not a portable speaker to be honest, well not for a cycle ride
