I’m a single lady/new homeowner and I’ve found myself doing a lot of DIY projects due to COVID. I found some cute floating shelves before the shutdown a while back and have been nervous to install them. However, after watching your video I was able to do it without issue and they’re all leveled LOL! Thank you for this video, you now have a new fan!

nicely done. I would suggest with both anchors, use a regular (manual) screw driver as you will have more control, especially if you don't have much experience with your drill in this regard.

Excellent video man! I'm glad you pointed out the fact you don't have to have a stud. My walls are 100 years old with multiple layers of paint and non standard stud spacing. A stud finder never works for me.

This is an excellent tutorial. But as for me, instead of using the pencil to mark the lines for the holes, I run masking or painters tape across the shelf, then pierce the tape with a screw where the holes are. I then place the tape on the wall above the straight line I pre made with a ruler, and use the float to make sure it's level. The holes on the tape are where I would drill the holes to hang the shelf. I know this is not the preferred method, but it works great for me.
OMgosh that’s a great idea, you cannot mess up using the tape. That’s why I love reading the comments....more ideas are shared. 😉
