Curious why you didn’t you use the torque method on the rod bolts? Those angle gauges are a pain to use sometimes.

I just chose to use the torque adapters that beep when the correct torque was reached. The ARP bolts gave me a choice to either use the angle method or the actual torque value of 82 ft/lbs. I never did the torque angle so I wasn’t comfortable using it.

No, the engine in my GTO was the very first LS engine build.

Have you decided what vehicle to put this in yet?

No, I have a few ideas such as a 1967-1972 Chevelle, 1967-1972 Chevy C10, or a 1st or 2nd gen Camaro. I want something really nice that I could take to car shows.

@@canz8tercustumz those are getting harder to find. One day I’d like to build a turbocharged ls swapped s10 blazer square body. The 4.3 4x4 one to convert to awd. A typhoon tribute.

@@goat_life254 yes, there’s an old guy that lives next to my parents who has a 1970 C10 that’s been sitting for the last 30 years. I’m planning on asking him if he would sale it but I need to sale the El Camino first.

@@goat_life254 Typhoon conversion, sweet! I always loved the Syclone and Typhoon. There was a rich girl who drove a red one when I was in high school.

@@canz8tercustumz typhoon has always been my dream car, as I’ve always had v8 s10’s. There was one for sale for the same price as my goat when I bought my goat, but I decided on more modern braking and steering.
And I doubt I’ll ever build another car, just too expensive.
