As Monty Python used to say "And now for something completely different", and it doesn't get any more different than LSD. For me, 35 years ago, it was a scary, abstract, but ultimately beatific experience. Don't regret it, but certainly not something to be embarked on lightly.

If John, Cyn, George and Pattie had a bad trip the first time they took LSD, why did they take it again?

Barbara E. Hunteman George probably. He made it out as the greatest thing to happen and then and acted like it was a thing that helped his relationship with John and honestly I think it had the opposite effect. He also used it as an excuse to rival his relationship with John over Paul just sounds like someone (George) was jealous they didn't have to drop acid to do so. I mean Paul took it later but the way George acted it felt like he was just taking advantage of lsd to cover any hurt between him and John.

Ssfinch with Beatles i think your making something complicated that was decades ago. George might have liked LSD, as McCarthy, pot, Lennon, herion, remember his song Cold Turkey...Ringo loved alcohol and cigarettes. I don't believe George had anything to be jealous of..he was a extraordinary quitar player, one of the best ever, proved by a solo career, I'd put Harrison's solo career as the best. Lennon a strong second, McCarthy.awe nothing, Ringo still at it...awe...nothing. And, to add...think of all the music and musicians that ask George for songs or to play on their albums.

If you know so much about the Beatles, then why do you keep referring to Paul McCartney as "McCarthy"? His last name is "McCartney", NOT "McCarthy".

I believe it was a very good trip - what she describes is just the beginning. . .

McCartney's career was nothing? Are you talking about Paul McCartney or somebody else with that last name?

I’ve read a zillion books on The Beatles, and have never heard of John dosing anyone. I don’t believe it.
