@@ritaleferink1803 I recommend selling them for what you think your customers would pay or work out your costs plus labour and price them accordingly. Costs all depend on how much you pay for your fabric and interfacing. If you batch sew quite a few at the same time it doesn’t take too long to make several of them at a time either.

57:30 Thanks so much! I've made these, but the edges were always raw on the inside. I knew there was a better way. Thanks for using quilt cotton also. Most bag videos use vinyl, which I don't have.
@@meganmaurer7722 that would require a different technique as there would be side seams and usually only two boxed corners. This technique suits this style as it has the four boxed corners.

Sure can be… just add more to the width and to the height eg add 2” or 3” or what ever you like to the width and/or height and you can increase the size for the corner boxes you cut eg cut them 1” instead of 3/4”. Just have fun and experiment 😃
This was a great tutorial .i never thought of doing french seams. I love your technique! Btw, doing you think reducing the lining by 1/4 " all around, would give the interior a smoother fit?
@@denisehosner3405 thanks 💕 and for this technique it’s best to keep the lining and the exterior the same size otherwise your corners and seams won’t line up to become French seams. You’ll find the lining has a smooth fit as there’s no bulk from thick interfacings and having the all the raw edges lining up exactly the same. Hope that makes sense xx

Hi @@Bundydream to be honest this machine as well as the Janome HD9 still struggle with thickness especially over bulky seams. They do handle thickness a little better than a majority of domestic machines. These really are still domestic machines and not semi industrial machines. As a bag maker who really wants to eliminate issues with struggling with bulky seams eg sewing over bag straps etc nothing beats an industrial walking foot machine. I have my PQ1500SL and use to also owned a Janome HD9. I find them pretty great for fabric bags and sewing linings and lining pockets etc but when it comes to sewing vinyl you will still come across issues when topstitching over those bulky seams… not always but you tend to hold your breath when sewing over the straps and those bulky stacked seams. When an industrial walking machine you eliminate those breath holding moments 😂.
This doesn’t have zipper tabs@@chuchiedoubek772 but the side tab pulls I cut one 7” long x 3” wide, then double folded, pressed, and then cut in half to make two tabs. The measurements are in the video where I talk about the measurements for the fabric that I used to make this pouch 😃
