    So happy to see this! Been wanting to do this, but needed affirmation. Thank you for your video and all your pins I have saved over the years. 😊

    I want to make this using an exposed lace zipper. I think I can figure it out, but if you have any tips I’d greatly appreciate hearing them. Lovely tutorial, btw.🧵🪡

      Yes but you will want to make the bag bigger because boxing the corners will reduce its size.

    I agree that enclosing raw edges makes for a nicer finish. I generally do the outside pull through the inside lining opening and then do a final close on the lining which keeps the bulk down. Great demo.

      really do that too but I wanted to demonstrate French seams on this project.

    Your camera is not in the right place when you’re sewing. I can’t see anything except the machine. No action. Just thought you might not realize it. Your instructions are very clear. Thank you so much.

    I'm using upholstery fabric for exterior and silk interior. Must I use fusible fleece?

    So if I want it to be a 7x4 what would be the cutting size?

    • @kathih6465
      @kathih6465 Год назад

      Make that 7 x 5

    • @SewVeryCrafty

      Add 3/8" to the measurements of each piece to accommodate the French seam and the zipper and that should get you what you want think.

  • @lorrainesquiltingandsomuch3582

    Do you have to use fusible fleece

    • @SewVeryCrafty
      @SewVeryCrafty  Год назад

      No. You cause any interfacing to give it structure or northing if you want.

    I may be having a blank moment, but how did you fully open the zipper since the pull was in the middle with the zipper closed on both sides of the pull? ?

    • @SewVeryCrafty
      @SewVeryCrafty  Год назад +1

      I used a continuous zipper so when you pull the zipper one way it will continue to close and when you pull it the other way it will open fully.

    Why would you wait until the end to discusss the fleece choice???

      I do thee without a script so I Robby just thought of it.

    Does it matter what zipper you use? My zipper adds a lot of bulk on the ends when turning it.

    Measurements are not correct, it states 1 of each piece.
