I have a huge bay leaf tree growing in my backyard. It all came from $.99 tiny thing from HomeDepot years ago. It was absolutely neglected, hardly ever watered. We just keep cutting it once a year to keep it kind of bushy. I suspect it spread roots to the neighbor garden and steals water there. I would add a leaf or two to soups, potatoes. Anyway, thank you for the video - now we will respect and love it as it deserves. Teas~

Hello, happy new year everyone! I just got a long note from my brother in Venezuela telling me about the exceptional benefits of the bay leaf or hoja de laurel as we know it. He started with the benefits about putting it in dishes such as poultry and other greasy meats! Then he went into ways to use it as health supporter! I started to look at other readings and videos to see if the info was about the same . This video is very similar to what my brother share with me. I have never used bat leaf in my meals or teas because I never found it excited due to
It’s lacks of taste. However, I’ll use it for a little while and will report on it later.
I’m about to have my annual
Health check out in a couple of weeks. I’ll start taking it this afternoon and I’ll report on it after I get my lab results. Fingers cross! I’m always looking for healthy choices to keep my health on check. I’m about to
Turn 60 in a few months and I feel great and I think I look much younger (being told by lay people and doctors) due to my life style
    And positive attitude!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world! Greta video short and sweet
Cheers and remember to be happy!

I have just seen, as a matter of interest, that Bay Leaves will leave a scent insects do not like especially cockroaches., By burning bay leaves, they purify a room, make roaches run and inhabit another place (unfortunately doesn't kill them) but putting Bay leaves in cupboards, pantry, and appliances can determine them from nesting.

My morning routine is 2-3 bay leaves boiled in a cup of water for a few mins, left to steep for about 4/5 mins and I add to that when it has cooled slightly some ginger turmeric and half a lemon juice including some of the pulp. Am cheating with the honey tumeric and ginger at the moment as have found a honey supplier that sells it ready mixed. Works great.

Depending on the tea, you are usually find having 3 cups per day of most teas,. Some are recommended not to have consecutively for too many days in a row. But on the whole, most common herbs you can easily have 3 to 5 cups per day. Though really if you're having 3 to 5 cups per day, its best to mix which teas you are having unless there is a specific malady you're really trying to address.

Bay leaves are very easy to find online. You can also find laurel tree saplings in some stores if you want to plant a full tree yourself.

I had no idea that bay leaves costs an arm and a leg and.....they are awfully small leaves, not the ones I'm used to seeing!

Yeah, it depends on where you find them. You can get fresh bay leaves fairly easily here in the UK at similar prices to other standard herbs.

Hello that is great information. Thank you giving this one a great shout out. I was wondering is the bay leaf in the stores that we get the ones that you were talking about being able to use for teas and such? Thank you for sharing, GOd bless stay safe and have a wonderful day

Store bought bay leaf is meant for food consumption and you can use either the dried or fresh. Though for my money, the dried stuff in jars usually isn't as palatable for tea.

Add lemon juice in the tea before drinking to preserve lemon juice vitamines.

Thanks very much for the information, but how can I get the tree seed or seedling to plant. So as to be hundred percent sure of its use. Some greedy traders may adulterate it, or sell an entirely different leave's as bay leaf. Please comment /advise?.

I've been checking bay leaf prices. Target has the best price. A little over a dollar. Look in the spice aisle.
