I love to pick nettle from my garden, wash clean chop then boil with clean spring water, leave to cool pop in a jar straight in the fridge, it’s a refreshing drink in the morning
This is a great introduction to Nettle leaf. I have type 2 diabetes and I find it helpful to keep my urinary tract clean. This tea really cleanses my kidneys
@sora-dp3ry seems to help...I'm sleeping through the night. Just started drinking nettle again for allergies and I have a fresh crop growing this spring.
I cook young nettle leaves like spinach. It’s really good! Collect using gloves and rinse at home using tongs and pot or colander. Only takes a short amount of heating and the stinging compounds no longer sting. Best before nettles produce “flower”. Excellent taste and nutrition!!! Thank you for the information in therapeutic used!!!

When I pick fresh nettle it goes into a container of water to keep it fresh. I find that they are rooting in the water and I will have more plants to spread around my yard. One can never have too much nettle.❤
@jessywadeson362 Jessy.. if you pick nettle early in the season and put them in water to keep them fresh for use..they will start rooting. These can be put into soil. Weeks later..they don't generate roots. I drink the tea early in the season but later as they mature..there is an issue with them building up crystal that will affect your kidney. So early leaves for teas.🙏✨️✨️💕
I live on a farm in northern Alberta Canada. I have a lot of stinging nettle which I treasure. I try to get it before my chickens and turkeys get it so I can save a lot of the dried nettles before winter ❤️❤️
Hello Is 3000 mg per day of nettle leaf too much?? Is it safe ... ((I've been taken 2000 but not noticing much and nettle usually helps me tremendously with hay fever but now it isn't that's why I want to increase the dosage.)
I rub the nettles into my skin and this relieves pain instantly. I consider it a method of free acupuncture. I am trying to find out if rubbing it into your skin is just as good and I can't seem to find any information.
Hello there have important questions for you my husband is having problems with his prostate what herb can I use Dose Adhwagandha , and maca root , artichoke extract and Tongkat ,fenugreek will thes herb work for my husband prostate he's getting to the point where he can't urinate. Please help thank you christina
Hi, thank you for this lovely video. Can I ask if touching the stinging nettle leaf will help a swollen broken tip finger? Finger is still swollen with blood under the nail. I'm trying to heal naturally without having to actually drain the blood 😢
I dig the nettles up from when they first appear - new growth in the Spring, with gloves on and including as much root as possible down to the old roots that the new grows off, then wash them in warm water (or cold is ok!) which destroys the sting. they can be ate straight away or leave them to dry out for a couple of hours or a day or days, but eat the entire plant!
Dr. Kwok, I read the comments but you don't answer the questions asked, and I also am interested to hear whatvare the benefits of stinging nettles but IF just to soliloquy or just talk talk talk, I'd look for other video to spend my time K
Assalam o Alaikum Dr I am arthritis patient for last 8 year my elbows are affected badly Please guide me how can I use this herbs to get rid of arthritis I am in great pain.
I purchased Nettle leaf powder tea a few months ago. Because the package didn't provide any directives how to prepare a cup of tea, I haven't used it. How much nettle leaf powder can do I need to make 8 ounce of tea?
Stinging Nettle spreads very quickly. If you want to keep it contained, plant in a container. Mine is in a raised bed. It is also very hard to eradicate it from where you don't want it.
As stated in the video, the majority of the nutrients of the plant are in the leaf. Using the leaves to make a tea is the usual way that it is consumed today, but using the leaves as the greens added to a soup will deliver the most benefits.
I read that using Nettle when you have thyroid disease is not good, it stated that it can adversely affect thyroid hormone control? Minerals and vitamins that the nettle has is what the thyroid needs. Please, could you clarify it is a yes or not? Specially because I have hypothyroidism.
That's not true nettle is a very safe herb. Seaweed on the other hand especially those that have high levels of iodine like sea kelp, bladderwrack, wakame and kombu should only be avoided if you have hyperthyroidism as your body has too much thyroid hormones. As you have hypothyroidism like myself you need iodine, selenium, and zinc. you can obtain iodine from sea vegetables like kelp, dulse, wakame, bladderwrack, seamoss also known as irishmoss, and kombu. I would definitely choose any of the above and seamoss😉 You can also invest in goji berries and brazil nuts as they are rich in selenium and also take a high quality zinc supplement😊 A B-Complex supplement is also necessary. Also include lots of wild caught fish like salmon, sardines, herring, mackerel, tuna and cod fish in your diet. Include foods like coconut oil, coconut products, seaweed, fermented foods(yogurt, kefir, miso, tempeh, ACV, fermented black garlic, natto, kombucha, kimchi and fermented vegetables), sprouted seeds, clean water, high fiber foods, bone broth, and fruits and vegetables. Also include supplements such as ashwagandha powder, selenium, L-Tyrosine, Fish oil or Cod Liver oil, A B-Complex, and a SBO(Soil Based Organisms) Probiotic. You also want to manage stress by meditation, deep breathing, exercise and prayer😉 i got this information on my favorite holistic doctor's website😁 here's the link draxe.com/health/hypothyroidism-symptoms-causes-diet/ and another link that should be helpful draxe.com/health/thyroid-problems/
You can get totally opposite info if you research this. But you need to research enough to find the best answer! I found more info that it was not contraindicated: If you are concerned about nettle’s interaction with thyroid medication the only concern I may have is that nettle is a good source of iron. Iron interferes with the absorption of thyroid meds. But just as with all thyroid meds, they need to be taken on empty stomach away from food and nettle is a food. Nettle helps body’s ability to reverse and resist iodine deficiency by making it easier for your body to absorb iodine, which is essential for thyroid health. I see only positives in using nettle leaf* in my diet…Everything in moderation! * nettle leaf (rather than root)
Much appreciated Dr Kwok!! Are there some scientific sources, that would support what you are saying. Please quote them. It would make your voideo, stand out from all the other sourcerors and witcthes recommending this 'magic' weed ;-)
