I used to use BD but pulled it after it became too invasive and was creating occasional problems while gaming. I also got tired of all the false positives.
@João M.Yes that was what initially made me switch to BD - but I used to get occasional activity spikes in the bg while gaming (BD was verified as the cause) and regular false positives when it ran scans etc. That was the deal breaker - if you have to constantly look up even well-known and basic file types because BD flagged them as dangerous threats - only to to discover that the files were OK - the amount of time wasting, stress and lack of trust these false flags created made me dump BD for something more 'reliable' and less invasive.
@João M. many of the benchmarks are imo not entirely trustworthy. The fact that the results from many benchmarks don't correlate well indicates my point. At the end of the day I suppose its up to the IT professional or end user to select the tools that offer the greatest protection with the least intrusion and performance impact.
@João M. i accept that BD might have improved so might give it a other look. Btw I'm not just some random dude I'm a qualified IT engineer with over 35 years of experience and have worked in some large companies over the years. Our security experts generally opted for alternative vendors- their decision based on a considerable amount of testing and industry feedback. Anyway as mentioned I'm prepared to give it another look - since it seems it has improved.
@@RickOShay Turn off auto scanning, and make sure game mode is turned on. But I think the way it's setup is it only activates when you're in full-screen. Otherwise you have to add it in the programs list to prevent scans. Kaspersky free seems to do this more intelligently.
@@portman8909 I switched to Kaspersky - it was far superior in terms of reducing system impact during gaming. But now it's difficult trust Kaspersky thanks to Putin's war and related state controlled security threats.
Ok so I actually also have problelms with this. It is overblocking things like for example I get kicked from servers in some games or updates for them fail to install because they are beeing blocked. It doesn't work to whitelist them either or even to turn off ALL the defending features in Bit Defender. Only deinstalling works.
I've also tested the Full Version for about a Week or 2 on a system that ran Kaspersky before. This means my System is NOT a clean Windows installation, it's FULL usable and many Applications and Games are installed. Compared to Kaspersky, Bitdefender is sadly VERY heavy on performance and increased load times of most Games i play (eg. Elden Ring, Warframe) noticeable! Also after a while, means after Bitdefender should "know" my Applications, the Loading Times are still delayed... Many of my OWM coded Delphi and C# Projects are "detected"... and false positive of course! My next Complain is the UI and the missing "Advanced" Settings! It is full of "definitely not needed" Recommendations and there is NO WAY to Disable it... in a FULL VERSION?! Also there is no Way to Import/Export Settings or even a Part of it, like Firewall or Excluded Files/Folders... Maybe the Detection is "good" but overall... IMHO it's not!
@Steiner No! It's definitely not an "empty" argument :P As bad as it is, the ONLY way to remove a psychopathic and mass murdering leader is, there OWN People have to remove him! The only way to do this is to make all the People (particularly Big Companies) uncomfortable as much as possible! And the only way to do this is, do NOT give them anything until it's done.
when you know that apps what you have are clean, the folder which contain the games just add to exclusion, also the game itself .exe files. I dont know do there is an option like "Game Mode" to be activated?
I don't know, if I had a script running that was trying to launch a new malware every second I'd want my AV to terminate the process :) In any real world (not benchmark) situation this is what you'd want 100% of the time. If it quarantines python that's a bit annoying, but again putting a process in quarantine for review if it's doing this isn't a bad outcome either.
this is the worst antivirus i ever had it disables itself when updating without any message and when i check taskbar there is no protection running at all

after installation, you need to restart the pc before updating the app. when an antivirus is installed, one can not put own roots deep into system, for that is needed to restart the pc to make changes.
I have been using it for a few weeks now on the latest Windows 10 (version 21H2). However I notice at random the mouse click stops responding for 5-8 seconds. It happens a couple of times or so a day. It's annoying. Anyone else has this problem?
Am I better off using Bitdefender free or Windows Defender with configure defender security settings set to high together with a second opinion scanner like malware bytes?
Recently I read at forums that it deleting the "dolby atmos" driver. I used Bitdefender on my new pc since build it and my 5.1 speakers (they're not broken 100%) are only able to play 3.1 sound, I had no idea why. So it seems to be true.
This is awesome... would be nice if you make a video about Kaspersky free antivirus.. I have the paid version but I won't buy the license from now onwards
cause the program that runs the malware knows how many threats in total are unleashed. Bitdefender doesn't, so it blocked all the malware it could detect 100%, but the ones that were invisible for the program still got through which is the 92%.

Could you do the same with Kaspersky? Thanks a lot! 💪🏻❤️
Bitdefender Free vs Avast Free?
downloaded it to windows laptop but it dont work
Ok so I actually also have problelms with this.
Your first mistake was switching away from Kaspersky.
@Steiner No!
It's definitely not an "empty" argument :P
As bad as it is, the ONLY way to remove a psychopathic and mass murdering leader is, there OWN People have to remove him!
The only way to do this is to make all the People (particularly Big Companies) uncomfortable as much as possible!
And the only way to do this is, do NOT give them anything until it's done.
@@mumukshud.c.1866 Yeah but...
As bad as it is for Kaspersky and all the innocent Russian Civilians, the actual situation REQUIRED that move :/
when you know that apps what you have are clean, the folder which contain the games just add to exclusion, also the game itself .exe files.
I dont know do there is an option like "Game Mode" to be activated?
@An orange yeah, im on a 8700k
YO THANK YOU SO MUCH
I don't know, if I had a script running that was trying to launch a new malware every second I'd want my AV to terminate the process :) In any real world (not benchmark) situation this is what you'd want 100% of the time. If it quarantines python that's a bit annoying, but again putting a process in quarantine for review if it's doing this isn't a bad outcome either.
great video. thanks.
I think that wasn't missed That just got stuck cause python was terminated
this is the worst antivirus i ever had
it disables itself when updating without any message
and when i check taskbar there is no protection running at all
Is the old Free Antivirus Still safe?
Older Bitdefender Antivirus Free for will continue to work and detect things until June 30, 2022 when all updates will cease.
Ok, thanks!
Great video bit defender was a good anti-virus but one question when i installed the latest update of bit defender my windows protection says "Bit defender antivirus is out of date" and when ever I click "update now" it doesn't work
edit: ok now the windows protection has a exclamation mark on it but when i click on it everything was green.
after installation, you need to restart the pc before updating the app.
when an antivirus is installed, one can not put own roots deep into system, for that is needed to restart the pc to make changes.
do you have the malx script available someplace to grab?
Is this better than AVG free version?
would be interesting to see how McAfee (paid version) would perform in such tests 🤔
or did he do one already =O
He did but that version he did was outdated
@@cchaired4500 good to know 🙂
@@dertreffer McAfee does very well.
I have been using it for a few weeks now on the latest Windows 10 (version 21H2). However I notice at random the mouse click stops responding for 5-8 seconds. It happens a couple of times or so a day. It's annoying. Anyone else has this problem?
I have recently seen ads for a product called Any-Prem Security. Could you please look into it and review it?
Good video my friend thanks a lot
Do Bitdefender Free Antivirus 2022 VS Malwarebytes Free Antivirus Next
I would like to see how this two compare
Hii bro which one antivirus you suggest for windows server ?
Norton or bitdefender. Kaspersky is the best in detection but it is also the best in getting yourself hacked by russian hackers.
Bro your wallpaper is amazing. Do you mind sharing pls?
What's the wallpaper?
What about whitelisting and scanning 100GB of innocent data for no reason ?
Thanks👍!
Am I better off using Bitdefender free or Windows Defender with configure defender security settings set to high together with a second opinion scanner like malware bytes?
Can you do for McAfee livesafe?
Please test eset nod32 with good settings it might be better than Bitdefender in terms of malware detection
Why only 72 sample while you use over 300 in malwarebytes test?
HOLD ON what was the HOMM 4 trainer I may need to download a virus!
I'm getting the message "your subscription has expired" and it won't let me go to any other tabs. Is there a way to downgrade to the free version?
Recently I read at forums that it deleting the "dolby atmos" driver. I used Bitdefender on my new pc since build it and my 5.1 speakers (they're not broken 100%) are only able to play 3.1 sound, I had no idea why. So it seems to be true.
Can you please test CCleaner?
You are best ;) Thank You !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have noticed that the free version sometimes doesn't boot or switches off.
you forgot the /-d
This is awesome... would be nice if you make a video about Kaspersky free antivirus.. I have the paid version but I won't buy the license from now onwards
Does Bitdefender still go through the credential manager? If so I'd stay clear of it.
Bitdefender is awsome.
Some websites don't load in Firefox when using Bitdefender. Why?
If detect ratio is 92% how bitdefender managed to block all threats ?
The other 8% are false positives :) .
cause the program that runs the malware knows how many threats in total are unleashed. Bitdefender doesn't, so it blocked all the malware it could detect 100%, but the ones that were invisible for the program still got through which is the 92%.
The 8% that executed didn't cause any harm to the system, it didn't really block all but kept the system clean...
He said 97%, I'm not deaf
One annoying thing is that i was using comodo firewall and when i was setting it up it wanted to remove comodo because it is another protection program
just trying it out and erased the anti virus that was so slow with Bit thanks for the test
