- After 4 long years, we have a remake of the level that gave one of the most talented and beloved creators his big break, the level that propelled him into a completely different level among the rest, a complete redo of Dark Travel.
First things first, it's always incredibly satisfying to see how somebody can grow artistically and creatively as the years go by, gaining more and more experience with every new piece you create, and this is no exception, after many many months of hard work and over a hundred streams where he would build this piece by piece, in order to reach a level of detail that would be surprising for a megacollab, we finally get to play it and enjoy it for what it is, a new and improved version of one of the best levels of it's time, receiving a massive upgrade from start to finish, which already puts it as one of the best of this year.
The most impressive part to me is the fact that this isn't just a fresh coat of paint on top of an already great level, it's built upon in new ways, using the teqniques he's learned over the years with all of his other amazing levels, pouring it all into the one that started it all, refining the effects, colors, block design, making everything look and feel so much smoother and giving it a hint of difficulty to make it a challenge as well. Overall this is what all remakes should aspire to be and I can't wait to see what's next.

@Ahmet...... It is at hard/insane demon difficutly there is nothing crazy about the asynchron dual gameplay at the 1st dual
@@jordanyes1 It just looks very hard and is kinda tough I would say. I personally never played Dark Odyssey from 0% but I do know that the duals in every JonathanGD level are absolutely brutal. Although this one isn't as bad as everybody thinks because of the 2 gamemodes at the same time being asynchron.

for one of my favorite levels, to see it get remade and have nearly all the slightly flawed or bleaker looking parts like 2:13 and 4:50 get turned into absolute gems, especially 4:50. when watching that, i felt my mouth open a little. i havent been into GD too recently, but that was such a powerful part of the level. what would we do without talented people in the world like jonathan?

those are not actual silver coins in the blocks, just decoration coins, like the ones in the fingerdash wave

I love this level, it's unbelievable that he was able to make a constant masterpiece that lasts 6 minutes
although i like some parts of the dark travel more, there are some spots in this that are just so much better. imo, very well done, i just like the nostalgia a bit more XD amazing rework of the level, kudos!
