You know what? John is entitled to his opinion. But when someone like Tom Morriello gets up and explains how much a particular band meant to him and still inspires him; then maybe these "silly" awards ceremonies might mean a small bit in the grand scheme of things. Like a lot of people in 1978 when I first bought "The Clash" ( or as I like to call it The Green album), and The Ramone's "Rocket To Russia" it changed my life. I am glad these bands are recognized.
