    One of the easiest, least expensive, most impactful mods you can make if you have a base Z. Took me less than an hour and completely changes how you can drive the vehicle.

    Can you still use this on a quick detach steering wheel?

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA  4 года назад +2

      Unsure exactly how the qd hooks up but I’d say the steering column remains unless the entire steering shaft is altered. The qd should just bolt in between the steering column and the steering wheel I suspect; if that’s the version then yes it will work. The paddles attach to the steering column but with a qd the paddles maybe spaced a bit further than normal from the wheel due to the mechanism.

      Oh one more thing, sorry to bother you again but do you need the car to come as automatic Or can you just buy a manual and still attach the paddles

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA  4 года назад

      Mrawesomeness5 it has to be automatic. Anything (automatic) before 2015 came with paddles stock and anything after 2015 it was an option (if my memory serves me correct).

      The purchase of the paddles were used from eBay and the lower was eBay too if I remember correctly. The hardware was from a kit I had from motorcycle needs when I use to dirtbike.
      Metric screw kit $10+ (I believe it was a m6 for the paddles but the kit is best to have since it comes in handy)
      2x 370z Paddles (bolts needed unless purchased with them)
      Automatic Lower plastic steering column cover (it has the cutouts for the paddles)
      Tools 🧰:
      Panel removal tool
      Screwdriver
      Socket set (metric), Socket ratchet - depends if you get hex, socket or a screwdriver head bolt kit.
      Time and action- sold separately 😁

    You think this will be the same for the Altima s 2017

      Probably the same layout and how everything hooks up but not sure if the harness is already there and I doubt the paddles are the same.

    Is it possible to do the same process on a 350

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA  5 лет назад

      Do they have paddle options for the 350z autos? The won’t fit the 350z if it’s possible due to the plugin and shrouds if I had to guess. If some 350s have a paddle option for the autos definitely pull the shroud to see if the plugs are there. Typically they have these plugs because it’s cheaper to make one wire harness instead of keeping track of multiple part numbers (part numbers = $$$ in the manufacturing world, more Realestate, service for 10 years, etc.) due to how many model vehicles a brand makes.

    Where did you buy those parts? Need then so bad

      Yukang Zhang paddle shifters used on eBay for $250 or $300 if I remember correctly and the plastics from Nissan website for $80 shipped since they did not have them on eBay used. Z1 Motorsports has it for 100. You only need the lower shroud with the slots, your local Nissan shop should also have these parts if you buy all new. Hope this helps.

      It’s been awhile since I looked into it but I replied a few times in comments below on this topic- Fwrd: Yukang Zhang paddle shifters used on eBay for $250 or $300 if I remember correctly and the plastics from Nissan website for $80 shipped since they did not have them on eBay used. Do you think this will work on a 2020 370z?

    • @ProjectAnubisUSA
      @ProjectAnubisUSA  4 года назад +2

      More than likely yes. Take the lower shroud off and see if the wires are there. The reason I’d recommend checking is because every so often things will change in the assembly line. It’s more cost effective to add the wires since it would cost more to make a new part number and keep track of a wire harness with and without two additional connections. real-estate for part locations, changing setups and diagrams (engineering time) are expensive in a factory in a business sense.

      Curious did you ever find out if the 2020 had the harness on it already ? Asking because I’m boutta pull a trigger on a 2020 without paddle shifters 😅
