Glad you guys checked this out. One of those movies I kind of thought went under the radar when I got to seeing it, very fun and well written. I'm glad the people behind this got to do something a bit bigger too: They're behind the new D&D movie if anyone was curious, and they go for a lot of this type of humor/plotting and it works well in a more fantasy adventure take.
Sometimes an actor delivers a line so perfectly that it ends up being 100x funnier than it should be. That should not be a laugh out loud moment on paper, but it cracks me up every time I see it.
Hella underrated comedy movie in my opinion, and another reason why Jason Bateman's STRAIGHT MAN comedic acting is some of the best in hollywood. Ryan was my favorite character in this.
Jesse Plemons blew my mind when this movie came out, so happy to see where his career has gone. Still disappointed Billy Magnussen hasn't seen a similar rise.
I remember when this came out, it was one of those surprise movies for me. It is so good. I almost died laughing, and I didn't expect to. Jesse Plemons really stole the show.
I can't tell you how many times I passed this movie up on Prime because I didn't think it would be any good, until one night I couldn't find anything else worthwhile. I was laughing all the way through. 👍
A few more game references that weren't mentioned: - the tilt-shift shot of the houses was a nod to the houses in Monopoly - the apartment shot in the flashback with Kenny/Denzel is supposed to resemble the old game Mystery Date - the chase scene with the 3rd person camera view behind the car was inspired by "Grand Theft Auto."
I randomly checked to see if anyone reacted to this and low and behold one of favs channels are doing it 😊. This is my go to date movie and more people should react to it!
My thoughts are pretty much the same as y'alls. Gary, the camera work, everything. it was a real surprise. very smart and well written. also, have to say, i do like the improvised screen format. it turned out really well. chalk it up to a happy accident. lol
I love this movie. I think it is delightful!! I don’t know why it isn’t better known. I am happy I stumbled upon it and recommend it to anyone wanting a good movie for a laugh.
Jesse Plemons was GREAT in this!! "That's some cute, full-circle bullshit." 5:08 - Speaking of tilt-shifting, you guys should check out "Dinner for Schmucks," it is absolutely hysterical from start to finish. It's also AGGRESSIVELY heart-warming -- but that emotional punch builds almost exclusively on the audience becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the main character's actions (he's kind of an asshole, and being an asshole isn't the humor of it). It stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell, with appearances by Zach Galifianakis, Bruce Greenwood, Ron Livingston, Randall Park, and Jeff Dunham. Easy recommendation.
This was the last movie I saw in the theater pre-covid. Just went with family on a whim. The first fifteen or so minutes made me think it was going to go a bit too deep into juvenile humor, but they very quickly recovered and made it just an all around fun experience.
10:12 according to Reddit, he is a "discount Matt Damon", so you were pretty close with that one ;) Edit: Speaking of the cool shots, have you ever seen the movie "Upgrade"?
My other half introduced me to this film, def. a load of fun. Yes, a tilt shift effect at the start, I used the effect on a drone shot last month to make my city centre into a model shot.
The 'model' look you keep referring to that looks oddly familiar - it was a reference to the board game of Life. The fountain outside their house with the round about around it was meant to look like the spinner.
SARDAR UDHAM ( 2021) is the best bollywood movie ever made. IMDB 8.4. ROTTEN TOMATOES 94% (Highly critically acclaimed) Mark my words you will not forget this movie. It will break your stereotype regarding indian movies that they are only song and dance and fun. **It will change your top 10 movie list of all times.** IT IS A MODERN CLASSIC. **You'll experience the new new of Indian Cinema.** **An exceptional Gem.** THANK YOU Brother.
This movie has a twin - you know how two unrelated movies came out at the same time that are similar in some way like Armageddon and Deep Impact, Bugs Life and Ants, Megamind and Despicable Me, The Equalizer and John Wick... If you can fit it in, check out Tag. It's not as crazy but somehow just as insane as Game Night... You'll have to watch it to find out what I mean :)
You two should watch the live action Popeye movie! It has a star studded cast comprised of Robin Williams and Shelley Duval(those are the only 2 I know.) so I think you’d like it
I think is my new favorite of yalls reaction to comedys lol such a good and funny movie. I hope u guys get around to She's Out of My League sometime. Another hilarious comedy that surpassed expectations but also a really good movie
Early in the video that you said that monopoly was a family breaker. Fun fact, monopoly was made specifically to not be fun. It was meant to show the evil of actual real estate corporations, and their monopolies. Monopoly is literally a criticism of real estate not a celebration of it.
I've always had mixed feelings about that movie. I love it overall, to me, it's a 7, but it could have been a solid 8. I have three issues: - first of all, Ryan's character, the blond dummy, because he's waaaay too dumb, especially to be part of the group, to the point of it getting surreal and the action of the movie, while the plot is silly, doesn't happen in a fantasy world (Bill Magnussen does a great job, it's not his fault) ; - secondly, the black couple, because they're underused, I wish the movie was longer and we got more of them, - last but no least, it's not the movie's fault per se, but... it deserved a fucking SEQUEL, or a TV SHOW, or SOMETHING, because the duo Bateman/McAdams, despite the age gap, is one of the strongest I've seen in a american comedy... No really: Rachel McAdams not doing more comedy is a crime, she's so great and hilarious... that bar scene! And her five star delivery of "oooooh no he died"! XD Anyways. I wish it was a classic, it's not, but still, its greatness is, well, great.
Have we learned NOTHING? If you go in for a sip of your drink, there's a damn good chance something funny is gonna happen. After your Hot Shots viewing, it's practically a guarantee.
"How could that possibly be profitable for Frito-Lay?"
Jesse Plimmons was absolutley hilarious in this.
Gary should be everyone's favorite... And I love that he's married to Kirsten Dunst.
That line had me in tears laughing the first time I saw this and it stuck with me.
Glad you guys checked this out. One of those movies I kind of thought went under the radar when I got to seeing it, very fun and well written. The National Lampoons Vacation remake is decent too.
"Oh no he died!"
Rachel McAdams is the best part of Game Night.
That moment gets me every time, simultaneously cute and hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣

I liked him as the treasonous CIA agent in "No Time To Die".
"Way too big, baby. It's a bullet not a grapefruit!"
I remember when this came out, it was one of those surprise movies for me. It is so good. I almost died laughing, and I didn't expect to. Jesse Plemons really stole the show.
Jesse Plemons, poor man's Matt Damon
I was shocked how good this one actually was. I laughed so hard in the cinema.
I can't tell you how many times I passed this movie up on Prime because I didn't think it would be any good, until one night I couldn't find anything else worthwhile. I was laughing all the way through. 👍
Always laugh my ass off at her digging for that damn bullet lmao
I suggest Date Night starring Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Another funny movie with a similar theme is Tag.
A few more game references that weren't mentioned:
- the tilt-shift shot of the houses was a nod to the houses in Monopoly
- the apartment shot in the flashback with Kenny/Denzel is supposed to resemble the old game Mystery Date
- the chase scene with the 3rd person camera view behind the car was inspired by "Grand Theft Auto."
I love everyone in this movie. I had tears flowing from laughter the first time I saw it, never gets old.
Tag is another great comedy. Based on a real group of friends who play a life long game of Tag.
"Tilt-shifting" is the name of the filming technique during the opening shot of their neighborhood. Makes cars, buildings, etc look like a model.
28:16 "Gary's a bad ass!" 😆
I randomly checked to see if anyone reacted to this and low and behold one of favs channels are doing it 😊. This is my go to date movie and more people should react to it!

15:13 "Oh my god!!!" 🤣🤣🤣
Jason Bateman is America's Version of Canada's Ryan Rynolds that is why they both worked so well together in the movie "The Switch"
Just found you guys channel today, good stuff. I'm not a comedy guy but loved this one when we saw it at the drive-in. Definitely snot boogers.
I watched this in the theatre and snort laughed out loud at the bullet removal scene. I love the whole movie.
Love this movie. Totally under the radar comedy.
They call Jesse Plemons Meth Damon because of his character in Breaking Bad.
I watched this in theatre. It was a mad house. People were lying at the floor laughing.
seriously underrated movie,i nearly pissed myself in theater laughing
Jesse Plemons was GREAT in this!!
"That's some cute, full-circle bullshit."

I feel like this movie should be way more popular than it is
One of my favourite films, watched it a few times now and still makes me laugh out loud.
The thing that went wrong is Brooks assuming the Bulgarian had him. When it was really Gary’s felons.
Who had real guns btw. That one’s on Gary.
This is hilarious! So happy you checked it out.. loved it when i saw it in the theater.
such an underrated movie/comedy......still love it to this day.
This was the last movie I saw in the theater pre-covid. Just went with family on a whim. The first fifteen or so minutes made me think it was going to go a bit too deep into juvenile humor, but they very quickly recovered and made it just an all around fun experience.

Got to watch Tag which came out same year and went under the radar.
I loved that The Wild Bunch was a poster on the wall. That's a film on the list you definitely should watch.
I was actually hesitant to watch this movie because the trailer made it seem like a thriller/horror movie like Saw or something. So glad I did.
I was surprised when Michael C. Hall showed up
As a boardgamer that holds game nights, this is very accurate how it usually ends up.
The 'model' look you keep referring to that looks oddly familiar - it was a reference to the board game of Life. The fountain outside their house with the round about around it was meant to look like the spinner.

The only movie reaction I've watched more than a few times
Jesse pleamons plays such terrific weirdoes.
I blind bought this a number of christmas ago on a sale ,mainly because it is a comedy with Bateman so i figured I'd be safe, and i was right.
I'm so happy! I'm so glad that I'm about to watch your reaction to this! I love this movie.
I forgot how good this movie is❤🤣😂🤣 😂 love the reactions
A suggestion for a movie - Inside Man with Denzel/Clive Owen (heist movie)
I've never seen this movie, gonna have to check it out. Thanks for showing it to me!
To be honest, I think the funniest person in here is the Irish girl. Closely followed by the cop neighbour.
So odd seeing Jesse Plemmons and Kyle Chandler together. Chandler was Plemmons' high school football coach in Friday Night Lights
Ozark meets Bloodline meets Dexter. Fun little movie.
Jesse Plemons was also in a season of the Fargo tv show.
i loved watching this in the theater
Loved this when it came out. Rewatched a few times.
I just can't with the squeaky toy.
Oh wow, I saw this when it came out, thought it was really funny, then promptly forgot about it.
33:05 this is the part i came here for!
It's my favorite part too. Rachel McAdams is so good in this movie.
Ryan is the best!
"Oh no. He died." is pretty much the only thing that sticks in my mind from this movie, but still a very fun revisit.
Such a great movie!
You two should watch the live action Popeye movie! It has a star studded cast comprised of Robin Williams and Shelley Duval(those are the only 2 I know.) so I think you’d like it
As Always Love Seeing Your Reactions To All These Great Movie's Emily
I would watch Get Smart. The new on with Anne Hathaway. its absolutely hilarious.
I think is my new favorite of yalls reaction to comedys lol such a good and funny movie. I hope u guys get around to She's Out of My League sometime. Another hilarious comedy that surpassed expectations but also a really good movie
Went to see this in the theater just to get out of the house. Well worth a box of Milk Duds.
Yes! Oh No he diiiied!
Oh no, he died.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:01 My Black ass would've tore that living room UP! 😅😅😂😂
You have to watch Tag. Great movie. Based on true story.
Early in the video that you said that monopoly was a family breaker. Fun fact, monopoly was made specifically to not be fun. It was meant to show the evil of actual real estate corporations, and their monopolies. Monopoly is literally a criticism of real estate not a celebration of it.
Yall are gold no matter what Yall do
I AM THE TABLE!
8:25 Don't think I didn't see that.
Guys I think the shot you were wondering about that looked like a model, was a drone shot.
👍
This movie is great
Oh, and you should react to The Other Guys, with Wahlberg and Ferrel. It's so awesomely silly I almost consider it the Airplane! of the 2000's.
Please watch the original STAR TREK movies.

this movie is underrated such a good comedy
Hello
OH RIGHT! THEY'RE BACK WITH AMERICAN MOVIES, PAPA MATT, BEAUTY EMMILY, AND OUR PILGRIM FRIEND/BROTHER PIPPIN, MY ADOPTING FAMILY IN SPIRIT.
Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams played Matthew and Emily in this movie.
epico😂
Horrible bosses please
Just SUMM margins for error.
10:40 I see he has seen a movie or two before lol
