I have used this method for pies and cookies and I had no issues with cookies breaking or pies being destroyed. This is the best way to ship desserts ❤
Dear Damien, a million thanks to you for this very informative video. Finally, I have found someone teaching something that they do on as a living. I just wish you were based in the UK because most of the links seem to favour US business but nonetheless, I have learned a lot from you. Thank you thank you!
We went to your bag link on Amazon, but it does not say FDA food grade approved. Several people asked that question in the comments of the item, but no one had the answer. Is this the correct link?
Marketing Food Online I make protein snacks out of organic nuts, organic fruits powders and it’s been really difficult finding ingredients for cheap. It’s a concern because I want everyone to afford it without me compromising on quality. Thanks for replying.
Hi, I am looking at buying a bakery biz. What are ur recommendation I should focus on before deciding whether it's a good biz to buy and what to offer?
Thanks for the question depends on the quantity of cookie which would then determine the weight our 2 dozen cookies from east coast to west coast ships for around $9.00 across country but you can build that cost into the retail of the product
i have same machine but whenever i use the gun to shrink it a bubble forms as there is no air inside and eventually i get a small hole. How to i avoid that?
Hey Paul thanks for asking yes there are a couple vendors You can check out ULINE .com they have shrink bags and shrink rolls the rolls are FDA compliant for direct food and they have them 12 inches wide so you roll off as much as needed and then cut to size ( they are VERY cheap when you buy on the roll).
Hello I would not only due to the force of the vacuum will potential squeeze cookies and damage them this is why we use shrink wrap it simply secures them without damaging them
@Marketing Food Online Can you share with me where you get your bubble wrap inexpensively? Your video has really helped me immensely 😊 Because of you I now have the heat gun, the sealer, and the shrink wrap bags... I'm shipping my cookies for the holidays! :-)
to be honest getting it online from ULINE .com maybe a great way the shipping is a little more though BUT .....local Walmart stores believe it or not have LARGE rolls in the office supply department and this will save n shipping .....many of these commercial rolls are shipped in OVERSIZE boxes causing the price for shipping to be outrageous but the local walmart stores actually stock these rolls and cost nothing to simply pick up .
@@MarketingFoodOnline thank you so much for your help! Uline is amazing! I ordered the poly bags yesterday and they were at my door today! I think it's because I'm in PA and they ship out of PA & NY...
Hello Jeff Thanks for watching ... once we make them and they are sealed they last 3-4 days longer than just on counter . We heat seal them immediately and this adds to the 'shelf life", but we dont have preservatives so fresh cookies wrapped or opened then placed in an air tight container would help for a couple extra days
He there! I'm a little worried that the heat gun/shrink wrap will break the cookies. I know I need to experiment once I purchase them, but is it possible to make it too tight?
Hey Taralyn Great question not real the shrink is there to keep them right and secure....but..when you pack the box you want it to be snug but not tight so bubble wrap newsprint etc. Should be a little wiggle room in case it is dropped.
I'm just follow ur method I priced everything and all together it will cost me about $200 for everything so that's good and like you said just charge a extra dollar for the cost of the freezer packs so it can all balance out
Hey Leon yes like every business does the cost of products and services get past to the consumer you should do the same. Honestly it also is such a small addition to the price to.
Question. On the flat rate boxes you suggest, the fee is like $15 to ship. Do you charge that to the customer? Because I’m seeing that most of my orders will be $15-$20 and the shipping will cost the same or close to. I appreciate any advice
Hey Spurling ..I am putting together a video series that will talk about the over 40 different USPS boxes flat rate is not the only way to ship and save money I will explain ! actually great question I have many subscribers asking this
Hey Spurling I have it uploading right now... actually quite funny timing I was wrapping up this video when I saw your message ! DO ENJOY and hope it HELPS i explain the regional boxes and how to save a BUNDLE!!!
The bags from your Link don't say food grade.. they say PVC but nothing on it being food grade. ULINE has Shrink Film bags 16X16 is the smallest I see. What do you recommend??
Hey Adam Thanks for the feedback ....Yes these are FDa compliant and are bags pre made sizes and have several smaller sizes they would work well! www.uline.com/BL_2405/Polyolefin-Shrink-Bags?keywords=shrink+wrap+bags Hope this helps Damian
ok thank you so much Damien.. I am trying to start my own business online here in New Jersey and I want to have everything down to the tee. Do you have any advice for a first time go getter. Because I gotta admit I'm a little nervous becoming my own boss and starting my own thing by myself from the bottom so to speak.

Sounds great!
This would also be great on a rectangular board! Since the box is rectangle or square.
Aloha! I was wondering do you go to the post office everyday when they are opened? Thank you!
I find this helpful, will the heat gun not melt a chocolate covered cookie? Thank you
This is so helpful! I want to send some cookies to my brother. Thank you so much.

Hi! A new subscriber here.. Could you use a vac pack? (Vacuum sealer?) Would that crush the cookies? :)
Hello I would not only due to the force of the vacuum will potential squeeze cookies and damage them this is why we use shrink wrap it simply secures them without damaging them
Hello, does the shrink wrap act as a vacuum as well? Prolonging shelf life? We do sables style cookies, and that typically is 3-4 days shelf life
Thank you! Awesome video!
Glad you liked it!
Shrink wrap doesn’t melt icing???
Thanks so much for the info!

Would cookies last longer if kept like that? How long would they last compared to cookies just sitting out in the air?
Hello Jeff

We heat seal them immediately and this adds to the 'shelf life", but we dont have preservatives so fresh cookies wrapped or opened then placed in an air tight container would help for a couple extra days
So you let them cool off 100% then seal them ? Or half cool ?
He there! I'm a little worried that the heat gun/shrink wrap will break the cookies. I know I need to experiment once I purchase them, but is it possible to make it too tight?
Hey Taralyn

Awesome video. Tried it myself and worked like a charm! Hard to concentrate though when the man is freakin HOT!
unfortunate that so much plastic is used! There must be some more environmentally friendly ways to ship cookies!
