Day of UFE Procedure - Day 1 and Day 2

Join me in my uterine fibroid embolization from check in to discharge at the hospital. Here's what to expect with UFE, before, during and after the procedure.

Eat light the night before the procedure, something that is fiber friendly and helps you poop it all out the night before.
Set 3 alarms in case you sleep through it.
Communicate with your nurse/doctor, don't feel like you're a bother.
You can do it on your own if you choose, especially if you stay overnight.
Stay ahead of the pain. Create a schedule based on the number of doses per day and stick to it, if it is as needed, then only use it as needed.
Trust your gut, in this case your stomach - if you don't feel like you can eat the whole thing, or if you smell it and feel queasy, then limit yourself for omit it all together. Go slowly, pace yourself. The food will be there. I have some pre sliced apples I bought in a bag, homemade vegetable soup, saltine crackers, gatorade and ginger ale, just to name a few things.
