  • In this video I discuss the reasons why I decided to an Open Myomectomy one year after having the UFE Uterine Fibroid Embolization. I elected to have the UFE to shrink the uterine fibroids, eliminate my symptoms and improve my quality of life. I discuss the main reason(s) why and how I came to this difficult decision.

I had a myomectomy when I was 27. My husband and I had our first child when I was 29 and we had our second when I was 33. I had a miscarriage between the two and one after my last. I am now 46 and recently had a UFE, I watched your video about that and you were absolutely correct about the pain. I am just a few days out from the surgery but I will tell you to hang in there. The myomectomy helped us have our children. I just chose the UFE because we aren't having any more kids and I wanted the least invasive. I will pray for your healing, I know you will have your hearts desire to become a mother. I love your honesty and transparency. You are not alone. God bless you, looking forward to that positive pregnancy test...IT IS COMING!!!😊

Surrender... doesn’t mean give up, but don’t attach to the outcome. Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE. I had a myomectomy about 10 yrs ago and at 40 I delivered a beautiful baby girl who is now 5. All if not more of the fibroids returned and i am now looking into UFE vs. hysterectomy. What women have to endure. God is with you! Stay encouraged and visualize your new bundle of joy! It’s already done ❤️

Thank you so much for this. I’m very emotional tonight because all my boyfriend wants to do is have a baby and I fear that because of fibroids and having a myomectomy 3 years ago that I won’t be able to get pregnant. But this right here, is light at the tunnel. So thank you so much for this message ❤️

I fully understand what you are going through. I have always wanted a house full of children. I have had 3 surgeries for fibroids and recently a UFE because the fibroids were causing me to be incontinent, very large and directly on my bladder. I listen to your video close to tears because I always wanted to have children and now I am 51 and haven’t had any. It is disheartening and I pray that God blesses you and gives you the desires of your heart. Be blessed and encouraged!

This is so heartbreaking to watch. We women have to go through so much. I to am fighting to eliminate my fibroids. I had a Laparoscopy Surgery done about 9 years ago. I was young at the time & didn’t even know I had them. My Gyno at the time was pressuring me to have the surgery. Her intentions were money motivated. I regretted having that surgery. Because the fibroids were back in less than 4 years. Wayyy bigger and more this time.
I am currently living a vegan lifestyle for the past 6 months in an attempt to shrink them. But it doesn’t seem to be working. I tried eating healthy, taking herbs, drinking concoctions, just about everything. Yet still I still have them.
This is honestly so frustrating. No one still doesn’t know definitively what actually causes these fibroids. Women have to suffer with this condition. It’s so frustrating not being able to wear close fitting clothes without someone asking if you’re pregnant. While NOT being able to conceive because of the same fibroids. I honestly do not want a another surgery. But recently I have been thinking about it because I want these fibroids out of my body!
I Pray for all the women out there dealing with this condition. It is not easy.

I don’t even know what to get anymore . The ufe has a less cha ce of them coming back where a myomectomy if u have a lot of fibroids , I was told they sometimes can’t get them all and this is why some women are tricked into believing they “grew back “. The myomectomy you have to sign a paper saying that if something goes wrong , they can perform a hysterectomy which is scaryyyyyyyy

I'm in my forties now. I never had children because I never found the right person for marriage. But even though I probably warm I have any kids. I still want that option even at my age. I don't want surgery to take away my option. I rather naturally go through menopause. I have an appointment to vivie eve 1st of August for ufe. I have many fibroids in my uterus, and together they fill the space of my entire uterus. I was excited because I thought I found a non-surgical way to rid myself of them. But now I'm afraid of again. But I am grateful RUclips sent your video directly to my feed. I will weigh all my options before I come to any decision. There's no sense in going through a ufe procedure and still having fibroids. I live here in New York City and there are many fibroid clinics here. I really hope that I find a solution.

I’m curious to know, you mentioned that your fibroids did shrink after UFE in your earlier videos, was that not the case after all? Or did they grow back?? Or was the scar tissue the issue? Now I'm suffering from terrible cramps that I can't explain. it usually happens around the days my period is supposed to come, but my period doesn't come. Also , during ovulation is the same ordeal. I'm 46 years old and I have been without a normal period for the last 4 months. I don't know if this is due to perimenopause or if is an UFE side effect. I wish I could ask the doctor without expending three thousand dollars in an ultrasound.

I’ve been diagnosed with having 4 fibroids in 2013, the largest being 7.5 cm(basically engulfing my entire uterus). I had gastric bypass thinking my weight and having pre diabetes played a huge factor. After seeing a fertility specialist I was told my egg count was still pretty high. I have lost countless days at work bc I can’t stand too long without bleeding so much(I’m a nurse so bathroom breaks are far and few in between). I’m looking into UFE and pray it helps. I don’t know what my egg quality is etc b/c we just started working with a fertility specialist so I have some blood work and then a hysteroscopy and I’m hoping to hear good news. We did try once and I didn’t get pregnant which is what led us to a fertility specialist. I wish they wouldn’t offer UFE to women who haven’t had kids yet b/c it is very risky and the risks aren’t always explained thoroughly. I’m praying for you and hoping that we both are able to have our miracle child!💕
