When I was a kid, my next door neighbor had a real 427 GT40, along with a 427 AC Shelby Cobra and a 289 Cobra. He hauled them on a 66 Ford cabover factory racecar hauler. The GT40 running around the neighborhood was wild. I watched him roll into it one day, getting on the beltway, un-real sound and sight.

I am almost done building a machine shop to support my shop that I am starting that will specialize in PreWWI race cars as well as the classic exotics such as The GT40 and the Gull Wing Mercedes. I am recovering from being hit and wrapped around a telephone pole on my 1957 Harley Panhead but as it gets warmer I will be starting the YT channel with a 1928 Morgan Hillclimb racer build, then a Brooklands style boat tail racer with a BMW engine. After those two I am either building the GT40 or the Gullwing but I will be building both.

But the superformance is a real gt40 it shares about 85% of it's parts with the original and has official license ,it's not even considered a replica
