@@paulahuguley6122 Paula, I hope Robin responds with his view of this. If I may be so bold, and it does seem like your "searching," I can share, as someone that took a vow of "poverty and service," well over a decade ago now, that it much depends on where "you are" in your own life's journey. I'm finishing the design and build of a traditional timber frame restaurants for friends of mine currently. They had a need, I have the skills, I will make no "profit" from this at all, nor have I taken anything beyond the "needs" of daily life during its design and fabrication. I presently have $180 to my name, no bank accounts at all, no cell phone (never have had one nor like them)...clothes I tailor and/or make myself, a few documents, and tools to work...that is all. In the last 6 years I have had and made less than $12K "all in" for actual "cash," and the rest "gifts" of food, places to stay while I work and to repair/replace a tool I may need to accomplish this work. When I "travel" if it is "wilderness based" then I will carry and "emergency fund." This has (so far) never exceeded $2K to a "safe place" to recover from whatever has disrupted my travels (has not happened yet...but I am getting older...LOL) Food is "wild harvested" and/or gifted by a patron whom I've finished a project for, and soon it will be an extremely low "pension payout" which may force me to leave the country as you simply can't live in America on this low of an income when not able to work due to age and you wish to travel too, or be of value to others. I have traveled before, and wish to see the Buddhist temples of Asia once again before I pass if possible as well as my father's land of Eastern Europe. That is a "glimpse" into a life similar to Robin's, but the important part is, none of us "need" as much as we think and most things are "wants...not needs." Letting go of attachments and coveting is a very hard thing for most humans to do. Part of the reason "relationships" do not work today either between friends or "life partners" is the loss of the ability to "be alone" and at peace with one's self while not "coveting" what others have. The easiest way I have helped others get there is to live a "handmade life" and if that "thing" that is outside the scope of your "biological needs" is not made by you, or someone who is also a "maker" then you probably don't really "want it" and certainly don't "need it." Best of luck on your journeys...
i must admit that it will not be a happy thing for us to watch u give away all your things. U clearly take great pride and intentionality about what u buy and own. My kids don't agree, but I have downsized to a rolling bag, a tent and mat, and a shoulder bag for food. I am expected to stay here as "free" childcare, guilted into it, but in a few years, I intend to move out. Robin, I had a flashback while watching this video. At one point in my life, when I was single and had just moved to the States, I was switching roommates, and everything I owned fit in the trunk of my car. It was such an easy move, and it felt so good. Now, we're a family of four with a dog, a cat, and a goldfish. This all still feels good, but not as light. Moving is no longer so easy. You've inspired me to downsize and own less-more like right-sizing. Thank you. Good luck on your journey!
Hello Robin, I’m a long time follower and for the first time, I have found this video the most relatable. Your struggle for find a balance between sustainability and plastic / brands (particularly dependence) so relatable. I spend a lot of my spare time in running a not for profit, fighting for recognition of tiny home ownership in Australia. Our building industry is the most regulated and expensive in the developed world. I fight for the right of shelter that is sustainable and affordable. Thank you for your work on downsizing your life and seeking freedom. ((Hugs))
I love how you've spent over a decade simplifying your life-it's a powerful reminder of how less can truly be more. This is motivation to embrace simplicity 😊😊
Hi Robin...As always, this was wonderful...!!!...For readers of this comment, I could not stress more the "teachings" of any "minimalist" way to live and what Robin is reflecting in his videos are simply excellent... I've lived simply and traditionally most of my life of six plus decades, and Robin's path reflects well to others that we never "need" as much as we think and most things are "wants...not needs." Below are some of my key observations that sparked a thought and comment... 09:40 I personally am very "clean" and complemented often on my "scent" and professional appearance. I do not "bath" in the modern sense of the word...at all!!!...with sun and essential oils being all that goes on my skin for the most part. Soap and modern "sanitising" of your body removes all the natural flora and fauna we are born with...and that keeps us healthy...NATURALLY!!! 10:20 Be a "maker" as Robin is so brilliantly demonstrating. I tailor and/or make all my own clothes...or they are a gift from someone who is typically a "maker" themselves. "Style" and being "in fashion" is a modern construct and attachment. Pick..."your own style"...and others will "see you" better or atleast the people that matter. I'm much more "old school and formal" in my attire, than Robin, but also have the skills found within the sartorial arts to accommodate that type of wardrobe. Functional but still stylish, though out of date for most "modern consumer" perspectives... 15:00 This is a marginal "sewing kit" and Robin has things he does not need, and things that would make it easier perhaps but the kit he does have clearly reflects just how minimal tooling you need to maintain clothing of his style... 28:10 I still don't have, carry nor ever want a cell phone, but I do have a gifted laptop but no camera either. I love that he has covered the "modernity" with cloth, and I do the same as he is most correct that the "look and texture" of these modern elements can be disruptive to folks that become more and more attuned to just being around "natural things." It is not "hiding" as much as "masking" for the sake of peace of mind, eye and tactile feel... 53:15 This was an important lesson to anyone thinking about human powered "travel," as the romantic notion of "backpacking" is to often an illusion and not a reality in the slightest...!!!...I state that as a working wilderness guide and someone that has lived most of their lives, to some degree or another, out of "pack" or "box." Modern "backpacking" is horrible for the body and simply not the way indigenous humans traveled long distances at all. We either traveled by water (my preferred method still to this day) or with a traditional "wagon/cart" or "Travois," which is simple to make and used even in mountainous areas to some degree. The fact that Robin is "carting" his belongings and essentials is extremely wise and his body will thank him for it later in life... Blessings Robin for what you role model for others...
As a person who menstrates, have physical issues, is allergic to a lot of food, loves books and is an insect magnet, this is not so easy😂. But i am moving to van life, using what i already have where possible and minimising. Its a process😅
The sweetest part of life for me is connecting to Earth and Simplicity. Your deep reverence, practice, devotion and sincere love (and sharing your journey) is a true gift to me and others as we behold your beautiful journey.
I hope you are always healthy and post videos regularly on RUclips. I like watching your videos. Thanks to you, I want to learn English because i want to hear what you are saying in those videos. Thanks to you, I know a new lifestyle. It's so peaceful and comfortable. I've been a minimalist for three years. I got to know you two years ago and always watch your videos on RUclips. I wish I could meet you outside the video. Thank you so much, Rod Greenfield❤
For firestarting: if you can get your hands on a ferro rod, that's basically a more efficient flint and steel, and if you need a good cheap firestarter that catches easily, jute rope is REEEEALLY good. You just have to untangle it into a "birds nest" and it works wonders. Also, dried cattail is a great natural substitute that also catches easily.
Here is my most helpful resource to be of service to you Dear Friend! The Beginner’s Guide to Downsize Your Life (From a Minimalist) www.robingreenfield.org/downsize
Really enjoy your content and respect what you do. I found you rather recently, within the year. I moved to the Pacific Northwest and have changed my life radically in less than a year. I made a big lifestyle shift to living more sustainably and now do things I would’ve laughed at or made fun of a year ago. I’ve switched to non toxic products from skincare to cleaning to an entirely thrifted natural fiber wardrobe to natural fiber bedding, etc. I shop nearly entirely locally or small business, and love my refill shop I visit weekly to stock up on some goods. I volunteered for the first time and did a work trade on a farm and saw first hand how incredibly laborious but rewarding farming was. I am still discovering new ways to live sustainably, but I’ve done my best to ensure that what I put on my skin is also safe to put in our water streams on the earth, and that what I wear and sleep in can fully biodegrade naturally in this earth. Even camping taught me how little I actually needed and how much I enjoyed just the discovery of nature to keep me going. I appreciate all you do and really respect the choice you have made to truly stick to an incredibly beautiful life that is full of more purpose and meaning than modern life. You have truly made it a mission to thrive and INSPIRE in a society that actively oppresses each of us. Thank you for that.
I also don't own a home, and it is a mindset of yours that I like, you are happy and your home is the entire earth! and watching this video I thought to myself that those homeless people who other people call homeless, are not so homeless at all, just with maybe different mindset.
I loved the talk at the end and the reframing that using money is also dependency it’s just a dependency on a system rather than interpersonal relationship dependencies I never saw it that way. Thank you so much I’m really enjoying the walking adventure you’re on. Thanks for sharing. Much love ❤❤❤
Hello Dear Friend, I am so grateful to hear that you've had this new view on money. I remember when I first learned this as well and it was very eye opening. I'm so glad to be on this journey with you. Love, Robin
OMG. Why did it take me so long to find your channel. My type of content. Subscribed. I have been obsessed with simplicity and minimalism. The only problem I am always cold. I need a heater to sleep at night. But, maybe moving and fasting will help. I know it does help. Sedentary life and overeating is our modern problem. You are such an inspiration.
It’s so amazing when we truly understand that the earth is our home. We feel deeply rich knowing we truly have everything we need even without all the superficial material things. I honestly don’t like having too much stuff. It looks clutter and it bothers my senses 😅 but I love what the true wealth the earth offered to me. Only a super confident, brave human can do this and I salute you Robin ❤
I started to travel by bike only 10 days ago, from Strasbourg to Spain/Portugal. I've stopped my rent in Strasbourg, inspired partly by you to let go of more possessions. I unfornutanely bought a few more synthetic things to travel, a good sleeping bag, bike bags and gear, and some clothes and shoes. I regret some of these purchases, I still need to shed more things, it's still very heavy. Just now I gave away a battery pack I had. Next time I do a wwoofing, I'll go through everything and give away more things. I would love to do some of my clothes, I must say I don't know where and how I can start, but I'll keep my eyes peeled for that opportunity. I travelled barefoot and hitchiked a lot last month in Corsica, but now that temperatures go near 0°C, I need more clothes. Thank you to be an amazing inspiration for me, I hope to go much further, mostly with natural materials and foraging. I downloaded your last book, and started reading it, I'll review and pay once I'm done.
Great video! Glad I watched till the end. When you were showing the skin balm, my mind automatically tried to figure out the brand bc I recognized the color scheme of the tin. Love that you intentionally hide it. ❤
There’s nothing obsessive about being relentless in pursuit of what you want and perfecting it. It’s the mark of mastery, the fire that forges golden perfection ✨.
Rob I know you don’t advertise but I am a walker and I would love to find out where you got your walking cart !!I have had one for 20 years but it has never been a great one and it is starting to rust !!Would love one that takes a beating !! You never have to worry about what you own .. the earth owns all of us .Your survival skills and self reliance is worth more than you know !!( or know !!! ) ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Dear Friend! It's a baby jogging stroller I got for $20 used on Marketplace. The exact one I have is irrelevant. Any decent baby jogging stroller will do. Love, Robin
Very pretty beans I kinda get it can't wait to hear you explain it I help older and sick people they are a reminder to really live your life you just never know what the future holds so treat yourself well without being too spoiled😂 Much love xoxox
I do believe that knowing yourself and what you really want to be and do in your life on Earth is the key to happiness. Long term sickness opened my eyes, I am still searching, but your journey, Robin, is a true inspiration and I love watching your videos. Thank you! ❤
As a mental health worker, I rely on interdependent relationships to enable each person to progress their recovery. This is the same process that you mentioned in your video. The other practice also beneficial to people often isolated in their homes is gaining access to nature. By spending time in nature, we can benefit significantly from the healing power of the natural world that we have shut ourselves away from.
I am enjoying following your journey, and I'm inspired by your minimalist lifestyle that's making me rethink all my possessions, many of which I must admit are not necessary. Save travels.
It’s so sad that most people can’t enjoy even local vacations because they are tied up with just paying bills and when they go vacation they don’t know how to find good deals. They always get taken advantage every time they go to a new places. As a result they don’t enjoy vacation, or never get to enjoy the earth…it’s so sad how humans are being blinded by the greed of other humans 😢
I have autism and, your lifestyle has inspired me to donate my extra clothes, things I wasn't using, and 1 day I can't wait to quit working 9 to 5. You go against the system and rebel in a kind wholesome way which I have massive respect towards. My friends and family don't support me and think I'm crazy for waiting to live free. I tried college and felt overwhlemed and like I didn't really need much money because I enjoy food, long walks, music and ditched all board and card gaming. Tho I enjoyed it growing up I feel as tho I'm ready to explore the real world and what it has to offer. This content helped ease my mental pain without any negativity and its beautiful. I can't wait to adventure, thanks for sharing your adventures. Edit: Better grammer lol
Robin thank you so much for sharing your adventures, plans, and dreams. Every video inspires me to follow a path similar to yours but in my own way. Sending lots of love and sunny+warm fall days your way! ♥🐝🌲🪶
I've followed you for a while. Because I love your spirit and the simple and interesting life you choose to live. You inspire. I also love how it changes, different items, different locations, sometimes a home base, sometimes a venture... You make me want to seize it. And also, reduce the waste and chemicals. Connect to the earth.....
Robin, you are an inspiration! I'm a Dutch woman living in Afrika and own a lot less now than when I lived in The Netherlands. I learned that I prefer this way of life. I have a question. You mentioned not having a bankaccount (ID, insurance etc.). I guess your channel is monetized. How do you receive the money if you have no bankaccount? Thanks for enlightening us and inspiring us to become closer to the Earth. Stay healthy and safe ❤
I saw this guy who had one sheep and kind of a cart in which he could sleep and he was making cheese from the sheeps milk and the sheep tore his cart and ate everywhere along the road. He collected the manure feom the sheep. He did some chores at farms or gardening ❤
So many questions in mind, .. idk looks imposible.. take care Robin and bless you. I hope someday we can all be kind enough not hurting each other and love mother earth.
All very excellent. I love glass jars as well and use as many as I can in the house ... from items I buy, of course, reusing the jars that held products. I can feel your joy with your current possessions and with your current trip. I have a few thoughts ... they may or may not be interesting to you (maybe not with your desire to have complete "non ownership): Although you seem to be committed to glass, I think maybe a nice Nalgene-type bottle or two might be a good addition or replacement. Yes, plastic ... but pretty good, high-quality plastic that lasts. They hold as much as a quart jar, they are more durable (generally "unbreakable"), lighter, and would also serve the purpose of "hot water bottle" as well. I understand it's not biodegradable, but glass is also difficult to "compost." We also have "biodegradable" plastic-seeming plates and bowls made from wheat straw or hearts of palm so we can break them up and compost them when we have used them beyond what seems appropriate. One of the issues, however, with "wheat straw plastic" is that they contain an allergen --- wheat --- so those with celiac disease shouldn't use them. I wouldn't worry about your use of tech or electronics ... you are VERY judicious with it and it's a wonderful way to keep in good contact with those of us who follow your journey. I'm glad to see you don't feel guilty about your electric razor --- everyone needs a few items that make life easier and with all you do, a quick, easy shave is nice. Have you ever considered a "gyroscopic," pull-string razor? My husband has one he takes on backpacking trips. He has a pretty heavy beard and likes to be clean-shaven, so it's probably not a good everyday solution for him, but for those who need a quick "clean up," I think it might work. I think I bought it new for him several years ago from Vermont Country Stores or somewhere like that, but I see most of them available online are "vintage" offered on eBay and places like Mercari, so it may be difficult to find one .... they don't require any other energy or charging. The other thing we like to use is a refillable butane lighter. They are a little larger than disposables, flame up a lot more if you like (or not) and faster so you can light a fire faster, and they are more durable, the butane comes in a metal can to refill the lighter so it's a maybe a little more "earth friendly" than disposable plastic lighters. Just keep on doing what you feel ... I will never reach (nor do I really want to) your level of commitment to so few possesions and the simple life that you have, I just don't think it's for me, but I am enjoying your journey ... not just your CURRENT journey, but your entire journey.
You are an inspiration and living icon of oneness existence. I appreciate you so very much and all you offer humanity and our planet. I learn so much from you and your soul medicine. Thank you for your service and generous sharing of all your gifts and wisdom 🙏🏽🍁💚🌳🪷🌟 Blessings on your journey and our relationship to All that Is.

"My home is the earth" such amazing words of wisdom. thank you. may the buddha in me bow down in acknowledgement and loving kindness to the buddha in you. 🤩
oh wow.. ive just done the book of Mark ( the last few days) and now im into the book of Acts where the apostles journeyed around spreading the gospel, starting the church and then your video popped up to give me a look into what they may have travelled with.. thank you.
This guy is literally like a time traveler many already live like this from necessity but this man has placed himself into this lifestyle and brought his brain with him he has given up all of society tolls and tools that are used against us he cannot be threatened by others now only the rain the wind and the sun bravo 👏
It saddens me how much regulation is aimed at making minimalism a difficult and undesirable way to live. It is important for people to be able to live functional lives while in "poverty". Economies fail and people don't always fit happily into consumeristic lifestyle trends.
Wow friend! Good to hear from you! Good to meet you around the world, I love you very much, greetings from Cordoba, Argentina. Hugs, and I'll wait for you when you want to go harvest some rich peaches from the backyard. (You inspired me to make an orchard) Thank you brother of the soul
I walked from Mexico to Canada with just a back pack via the PCT on my 60th birthday in comfort and safety my pack weight was 18 pounds minus food I suffer from ankylosing spondylitis and a heart condition the journey was fairly uneventful just an awesome experience never felt like I needed any more gear than I had , not to say it wasn’t full of pitfalls agonizing heat and cold endless mountain passes. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
I admire (what I personally call) your experiment. I live outside full-time (for going on 20 years now) because I philosophically eschew the modern Western lifestyle. I want to live more in tune with Nature, but the driving force behind my alternative lifestyle is more that I just (with my understanding of things) don't fit in. Simply put, I like to keep a certain distance with people. Is this a defensive position, yes. But despite this, I have lots of time to ponder the great concepts of reality (which is my general goal). With all of that said, I understand well that my lifestyle serves at the leisure of what I call (from a Buddhist perspective) householders. In essence, I, as I believe you, live what is tantamount to a monastic lifestyle, though this is, of course, outside of traditional religious systems. But to me, it is supremely important to understand that the "monks" (from whatever religio-spiritual-enviromental perspective they may hail) serve the philosophical/spiritual needs (directly or indirectly) of the householders, who's actions really make the practical world go round. The householders create the infrastructure that allows the monks to survive in their itinerant lifestyle, and the itinerant lifestyle of the monk quickens the plight of the householder, giving them something to aspire to and a reason to exist. It is not that one lifestyle or the other is correct or incorrect. It is within the connection and resultant symbiosis between such (conceptual) bodies where a truer existence lies. And BTW, I am not a Buddhist: I simply borrow Buddhist concepts here to explain something that their culture gets: the wandering monk. I have my own specific cosmology which is based upon my observation of nature itself. Thusly, Western society is just as natural (a part of evolution) as anything else is. I have a saying: "A nuclear bomb is completely natural." It is only the folly of the mass-ego which presupposes that humans could ever do anything that transcends their font, which is certainly nature itself. Everything is natural. The key is to find a personal balance and to accept the balance that is found within entities that we don't yet understand.
I agree. We are created to be of service to each other. We are also made to be different for a reason. I do love that you care about people, animals, and vegetation so much. We need people like you. I don't have an issue with me owning electronics, but I don't want to be dependent on them. I wish there was a way to make plastics, styrofoam, and other man made things biodegradable. Best of luck on your journey.
❤Amazing as always! And thank you for sharing this part of your life's journey! And to plan to give it all, away? I can't help, but to say, as a some what, "in case-er" at very soon to be 71, so many concerns, instantly popped into my thoughts. But you are well trained and very knowledgeable, so I look forward to hearing more about your lifestyle. My question is : Whyyyy LA, California? I haven't been there in 54 years, and even then at the greyhound bus depot with a baby, I was constantly bothered by a pimp. 😂 And since almost all of my life has been a country lifestyle, I avoid cities the best I can 😅 Sending warm hugzzz and best wishes, stay safe! 🤗
There is a walk from Townsville to Healesville in Victoria; many people have done it over the years. We have done part of it, and would love to do the whole thing at some point in time. We walked from Cadiz in Spain to Compostella in one trip, then added on a few more walks after that. 1600 kms. It is a time of life of simplicity with living out of a pack on our back and very enjoyable. We have done quite a few long distance pilgrimages but then as we have aged, we realise that there are issues that need to be covered in our older age (70 years). Friends of ours have had strokes or broken bones, and are no longer able to fend for themselves, so now they are dependent on others. Not having insurance (health) or an exit plan from this lifestyle is a great risk. Maybe that's what his death beans are all about. Will have to watch that video.

Thank you for sharing Dear Friend. I really enjoy and deeply appreciate your message.
Love,
Robin
As a person who menstrates, have physical issues, is allergic to a lot of food, loves books and is an insect magnet, this is not so easy😂. But i am moving to van life, using what i already have where possible and minimising. Its a process😅
You have my support in this process Dear Friend!
Love,
Robin

I bet you can start a line of clothing. 😂 I would buy. I love the natural colors. And I love the foot gear.
I love you Dear Friend!
@Robin.Greenfield It's been a long time since I heard that I love you from someone else. Thanks!!
I aspire to be on this level. 😃

If out of hundred people one live like you, it would make so much difference! I have learned a lot from you that I apply to my daily life!
I loved the talk at the end and the reframing that
using money is also dependency
it’s just a dependency on a system rather than interpersonal relationship dependencies
I never saw it that way.
Thank you so much
I’m really enjoying the walking adventure you’re on.
Thanks for sharing.
Much love ❤❤❤
Hello Dear Friend,
I am so grateful to hear that you've had this new view on money.
I remember when I first learned this as well and it was very eye opening.
I'm so glad to be on this journey with you.
Love,
Robin
You do make a heck of a lot of money!! 💰
I wish you succes in yr journey to Simplicity ❤
It’s so amazing when we truly understand that the earth is our home. We feel deeply rich knowing we truly have everything we need even without all the superficial material things. I honestly don’t like having too much stuff. It looks clutter and it bothers my senses 😅 but I love what the true wealth the earth offered to me. Only a super confident, brave human can do this and I salute you Robin ❤
I love you!
@ I love you too Robin Greenfield! You are such an inspiration ❤️🙏😇
I really love what you say about connection and inter-dependence. Healing words to hear and ponder.
Youre my hero Robin. Well wishes on your continued journey🙂
Thanks for keeping us upgraded on your walk..love you
I started to travel by bike only 10 days ago, from Strasbourg to Spain/Portugal.
This is a real Yogic life style 🙏❤
It is a great experience to meet a person who lives simply yet enjoys an invaluable nature

Robin
@@Robin.Greenfield 😘thank you !!
Way to go Rob. You're literally the sanest person on my feed.
Very pretty beans I kinda get it can't wait to hear you explain it
I help older and sick people they are a reminder to really live your life you just never know what the future holds so treat yourself well without being too spoiled😂
Much love xoxox
Thank you for sharing. Causing me to think more deeply about freedom and service.
Good for you, Robin!
I have so much respect and admiration for this man words cant express.....❤
A minimalist to the max. Kudos. Not an easy life.
To live like this has been my dream for a very long time. You're my hero Robin. Love and light from rural South Africa ❤🍃
Thanks Robin, your openess and passion is inspiring. And how you live your life
Keep up the good work . I really like the simplicity of your life and the examples you set
Thank you, Robin for sharing your experience with us.
If I at didn't have kids I'd live the same 😮 you said same thing as I wrote. You are truly living right.
Robin thank you so much for sharing your adventures, plans, and dreams. Every video inspires me to follow a path similar to yours but in my own way. Sending lots of love and sunny+warm fall days your way! ♥🐝🌲🪶
The more and more I watch you the more I see simplicity as a luxury. The freedom the present moment and the understanding of self and the world. .
I am grateful to be on this journey together Dear Friend!

Great question!
Fascinating and inspiring Robin! I appreciate the allowance of a life of nuance. Thank you for lifting my spirit today>with love
You are real prepared for what’s coming ! Thanks for showing us some of your experience
I love your 'safety net' We should all live that way!!!
And I cannot even keep my train of thought. You are an inspiration.
❤ amazing! Walking 1600 miles...wow
I saw this guy who had one sheep and kind of a cart in which he could sleep and he was making cheese from the sheeps milk and the sheep tore his cart and ate everywhere along the road. He collected the manure feom the sheep. He did some chores at farms or gardening ❤
Homefree123. That guy rules.
Good for you . Hippie natural products at the natural food store are sooooo expensive. Makes sense to make your own if you can 😊keep it simple
So many questions in mind, .. idk looks imposible.. take care Robin and bless you. I hope someday we can all be kind enough not hurting each other and love mother earth.
Spot on- none violent communication is your bible! Wow 🤩 that’s taking things beyond the extreme- I wouldn’t want to be you.
Bless you. I remember the open living space. I like your attitude, tips and vibe brutha. Thanks
I can't even imagine not owning a single object and still surviving, can't wait to see how it unfolds for you !
You are your own insurance. A brave step to have it all in your hands and not give it away.
All very excellent. I love glass jars as well and use as many as I can in the house ... from items I buy, of course, reusing the jars that held products.
I can feel your joy with your current possessions and with your current trip.
I have a few thoughts ... they may or may not be interesting to you (maybe not with your desire to have complete "non ownership):
Although you seem to be committed to glass, I think maybe a nice Nalgene-type bottle or two might be a good addition or replacement. Yes, plastic ... but pretty good, high-quality plastic that lasts. They hold as much as a quart jar, they are more durable (generally "unbreakable"), lighter, and would also serve the purpose of "hot water bottle" as well.
I understand it's not biodegradable, but glass is also difficult to "compost."
We also have "biodegradable" plastic-seeming plates and bowls made from wheat straw or hearts of palm so we can break them up and compost them when we have used them beyond what seems appropriate.

Wonderful
thanks for the tip fir the ticking clock. I am also very sensitive
It saddens me how much regulation is aimed at making minimalism a difficult and undesirable way to live.
It is important for people to be able to live functional lives while in "poverty". Economies fail and people don't always fit happily into consumeristic lifestyle trends.
Perfect person ❤ You really know your yourself ❤❤
Relaxing quality of life.
You are doing better than me!. Maybe one day i will have no fear of having nothing. Good job!!!
I am grateful you mentioned the OC side.
great video
Hi Robin nice to see you again very Interesting 🤔 😮😊❤have yourself a Wonderful day
My question is :
Whyyyy LA, California?
I haven't been there in 54 years, and even then at the greyhound bus depot with a baby, I was constantly bothered by a pimp. 😂
And since almost all of my life has been a country lifestyle, I avoid cities the best I can 😅
Sending warm hugzzz and best wishes, stay safe! 🤗
1600miles is about 2500kms . That is the distance if i walked from Townsville Queensland Australia to Victoria Australia.
I live in Townsville.
