Hi, I'm a 59-year-old Hungarian man, but I currently live in the USA, in Pennsylvania. I am an extreme minimalist, living in only 14 square meters, including the bathroom. I plan to quit my job in a few years and live off-grid, without electricity, close to nature. I have been diligently learning all kinds of bushcraft tricks for some time now, and my hobby is "survival in extreme conditions". I try to fit everything I own into one big 100-liter military backpack. I have not yet achieved this goal, but what is really important in my opinion is that it all fits into at least 3 backpacks: a 100-liter, a 52-liter, and a 20-liter. What doesn't fit into these, my heart won't hurt much. Ultimately, I could take all three of these backpacks with me on a cargo cycle. (Although I haven't bought that cargo bike yet). Unfortunately, I need more things to survive in the wilderness than an "urban nomad". In any case, I'm certainly not picky, because I've been following the raw carnivore diet for years, that is, I almost always eat raw meat and raw offal. I also eat certain insects (living, "raw" insects!), even live earthworms without batting an eye if there is no any better food. Oh, and I've been sleeping on a hard surface for about 26 years, practically on a board... I'll also mention that I follow the Stoic philosophy.
Hi Robin, I'm tempted to send you this link below about a Buddhist monk in my country because it seems you two have a similar path. Too bad that the subtitles are only in Vietnamese ruclips.net/video/vb9D3VZHDI8/видео.htmlsi=r1tda7930g9meHHR
dont go as far as los angeles - its ok to stop around the santa monica area - and once you get away from washington state the abundance of free foraged food is gonna vanish on you because once you enter california youre gonna start seeing armed homeless people already consuming it and dont count on them wanting to share with you because food is scarce the father south you go
I am homeschooling my 11 year old son, starting this year. We are focused on healing our minds and hearts this year, and experiencing joy and contentment in our lives. He was watching this video with me and seeing him experience your joy and to see how interesting life can be, it was truly a beautiful moment. To see him watching you talk about joy, platonic love, and so many healthy things is truly a lovely thing to witness. Thanks for being a human who is creating a world i want to live in

@@chrisbrown2211 It was super dangerous....the low temps, the hi freezin winds, Some days I would make my plow through the snow banks, to a bridge or abandoned structure...and wait it the bad weather for 2-4 days...One time , I was in alberta , I couldn't find any shelter or even have the energy to make shelter.....So I would dig out the center of their massive large haybail rolls and sleep in there....and it was toasty...Most of the day was spent burning calories and wearing all your clothing, as layers...where moving might be a few inches at a time...but at least I was warm under my head armor made of long johns around my head that extended to my neck...and using string to cuff off my pants , shirt, to keep the snow out..or to use "my own discovered" protection from wind burn and warm...with my diy full body oil, coating my face , feet, hands and other important areas...
