Hi Kim, the light is the standard one that comes on the mini 😁 the only thing I plugged is was a magnetic micro usb which allowed me to charge the drone on my DIY dock.
Thank you 😁. No there were no problems with reception. However I've noticed a trend with dji. When they first release a drone, the signal is always amazing! With every update they seem to destroy it. When I first got the Mavic mini, it was amazing in urban areas but with every update it just got worse and worse.

Hey, I did say in video it will put me over but we have to register EVERY drone next year no matter the weight. I actually sold my Mavic air for a few reasons. To loud so brings attention. I never flew that much or even that far. I recorded 2.7k on Mavic air as easier files to work with and still looked good. The mini is very convenient and not to bad if it gets lost.

Some of the brands have self healing properties, it's like meta material from scifi. You can sandpaper them, cut them with a knife and with a heat gun or blow dryer it will self heal. I'm not sure if these precut companies have an option to use that vinyl tech. Planning to get the mavic mini 2 and wrap it. Best vinyl results would require disassembly and wrap it over to the inside plus shrink wrapping so it never peels off. That will probably outlast the life of the drone. Either way I also want to try these premade ones on my 3d printed mini clones.

@@Altcine my clones fly but they are toys, there is nothing equivalent to first party apps that are open source. Referring to camera functionality, live feed etc. I actually made them to replace mini parts
@@Altcine also I want to add even a $200 printer can print carbon fiber filament. The last video was pure carbon fiber. It was thick meaning it probably had at least 10 layers of epoxy and carbon fiber which is not practical for drones. I'm experimenting with the fewest layers possible. I have no idea if my guess is correct but a full carbon fiber shell with 2-3 layers will result in majority of the weight being the motors, camera and battery. The frame and legs will be negligible. Also Carbon fiber blocks radio waves which doesn't matter since the antenna is outside of the enclosure.
