Just a regular laptop 💻 you can run gg software just fine and sonar on windows but if you use Mac only gg software will work then create a account plug your gamedac to the computer do the update and customize you want then save / sync to the gamedac then plug back to the console.

Is there any difference between the EQ’s we use in the custom and the EQ’s in these presets? Like is there a broader range for their premade presets we don’t see on the adapter outside of the 10 range
Umm good question, from your own custom vs the presets well the presets were design based off games and max audio performance, so what I do is copy the presets or make slight adjustments to the presets to make them the way you like because everyone ears processes audio differently.
Do you know if I make adjustments if I lose out on some EQ ranges that are in the presets though? Like let’s say I’m using the Rainbow 6 preset, which shows 10 EQ bands. I copy exactly what it is in a custom EQ, will the custom EQ be different because it doesn’t have the full sonar preset EQ’s? Sorry if this is confusing
@@ttru1023 it’s not confusing, umm nope you won’t lose the EQ ranges on the presets because it allows you to copy those and make your own in the custom to get the audio balance to what you want it to be.
@@ttru1023 the presets were made based off PC to use for console but for me I didn’t like them as much cause some games were low so I made adjustments to make it better for console, but they are still making them better for console
If I connect the nova7p with analog jack to the ps5 controller without using the dongle at all, will the changes I made in eQ on the computer via the dongle be valid?

Can you tell me how to save the presets on the receiver? I can’t find anything about selecting them. I don’t have the GameDec but this small standalone box… with the GameDec, you can see which presets you’ve saved.
@@Outbacktramper hello, the Sonar Presets are a PC software, but if you got a PC you can make a copy of it and then create a custom one inside of Steelseries GG engine software to use on PS5 , it works with both wired or wireless headset, now if Sonar & Sony ever open up the audio system on PS5 then it would be amazing but yeah Sonar only for PC & they do have Sonar Presets already on the gamedac for the PS5 so to answer your question it’s like 50/50 but you can make a copy and then customize them in gg software

Yeah. First connect your gameDac to the computer rather it’s PC or Mac make sure you have SteelSeries GG software downloaded, after that make a account, then your gameDac will show up you want to update your headset so you can get the PC Sonar Presets
How do I set up Chatmix using PS5? Also, do you have to keep the preset on the device on through all play? Like keep it displaying war zone through game play or once you select it you can use the dial for other stuff too.

Quick question, the gamedac can be brought on it’s own. And any headset that can connect via 3.5mm works with it. I have a pair of nova 7’s that I traded in for my nova pro wireless because they have more base even out the box and sound fuller. Can I hook up my nova 7 to the gamedac, customise an EQ, and will it save to the nova 7’s like it would with the gg engine ?
So the answer to your first question is I think you can buy the gamedac on its own if so it should be listed on the website, and for the next time umm im not too sure never tried it or owned any nova 7 but all you can do is try it and see, especially using the Steelseries GG software but it could work
Now I play on console, so I only hook the game dac up to PC on the PC side, or since xbox hook up to xbox side, then to PC to download to game dac and does the headset have to be hook up last when trying to install on game dac, thanks
@@brooshire36 the headset don’t gotta be hooked up last when trying to install the gamedac, so if your using Xbox then on the usb c side of the gamedac you connect that to the PC so you can download Steelseries GG and install all the required updates to the gamedac
Any chance I can see the numbers for the PUBG preset? I have the Nova 7X and all the other presets work. I think I have it close just by looking at screen from the dac. Appreciate you showing some of the other presets. Trying Fortnite preset tonight.

SO you need the steelseries dac so save the EQ profiles to the headset?? If i have the new Nova 7p, i cant use the Sonar software so save the EQ profile on the headset??

Good question; but nope you shouldn’t lose nothing because the headset was design to make it customizable, so if you copy the preset setting then customize it to your own you should be solid and fine, cause each of those presets allow you to may adjustments, inside the software so it will be fine just make sure you sync it back to the headset or gameDac
You will connect your gameDac to the capture card, from the gameDac use the line out slot to put into the capture card your capture card and wave mic will be connected to the computer and the capture card will be connected to your console
Nope you don’t have to, you can go back where the volume is and adjust the volume, what I do is I pick the preset I want then I press the big button again then just hit back until I get to the volume adjustment and it be fine and still on the same preset.

@@hype0866 if you got it downloaded, did you go to macOS settings and go to privacy then put your password in, the toggle on the switch for Steelseries then close it out close out Steelseries GG software then re-open it and connect the gamedac to the macOS computer plug the usb c into the gamedac usb c port, then your other usb c port into the macOS and make sure you make a FREE account with Steelseries GG

I just got my nova pro, I went to audio settings and equalizer, but there was no presets, it would make me adjust my audio like bass and stuff. Do I need to first connect to the sonar and stuff?

Sonar should work with the ones you have but Sonar is a PC software. If you got a Mac then it only works using Steelseries GG software. I never tried Sonar fully cause I don’t own no PC
@@rxloadzz Sonar is for PC & Console but in order to make your headset even better you need a PC to download sonar then you can make adjustments then sync to your gamedac or headset for the same sound, but the Steelseries GG software has a lot of features they still adding more, and they have some sonar presets if you update your headset

Yes 🙌🏽 download the Steelseries GG software engine to your computer then connect your gamedac to your computer do all the updates then go inside the software set your mic volume correct and your sidetone volume to low or medium and you can add some gain but make adjustments to your headset audio. You can also do some of these changes on the gamedac itself inside the settings .
I have the arctis nova pro wireless for my PS5 and for some reason my mic isn’t working in game chat but works perfectly fine in party chat and I have all my setting to talk on game chat on..any recommendations or help you can give me ?
I've had the arctics nova pro wireless for pc and ps5 for 2 weeks now. I go to the gg app on my pc set everything up can have music full blast mic dosen't pick it up when I bring them over to ps5 I can barley breathe without my teammates hearing me I'm about ready to return them any suggestions?
Yeah make sure your PS5 is updated also you might be able to have the new feature for sidetone that way you can adjust your settings for how loud you speak, also did you update the Steelseries and since your using PC you have the ability to use the gg software plus sonar
@CraytonTv Yes everything is updated adjusted noise reduction and other settings in sonar also adjusted mic sidetone etc still dosen't transfer to ps5 works fine on my pc.
Yes after you update the headset and plug to your console go to the audio option then presets then scroll through to find them of the game you want to play then when your on that game your good

Download the Steelseries GG software on your computer, then make a account, and connect your gamedac to the computer then it should find your gamedac headset and prompt a software update for the headset then after it’s done its update you connect back to your PS5
When I connect my headset to my laptop, the GG app says it’s still not connected, what am I doing wrong? When I connect the deck to the app its says connected, I’m lost 😂

Did you update the headset first with the SteelSeries GG software, then after you do that, you can connect to the PS5 in the gameDac press and hold on the big turn button, then scroll to audio input, then press the big button then it will say Presets, select that option then scroll through the games list

@@coaze ok in the gamedac after you plugged it there you did use the headphone jack port then go to your Xbox audio sound settings and to make sure your headphone/ mic is popping up
Yes I’ve plugged the gamedac to the xbox, then from the gamedac back into the headset port i can hear youtube fine, game audio fine, music fine but when i unmute my mic i cant hear myself talk and friends cant hear me but i can hear them

@@antclothier1178 yeah also give your Mac a restart just to make sure it clear out the cache then install it and it will download all the presets but I still think you find a preset you like and make adjustments or custom ones base off that and the game you play then hit sync on the software so it saves
Yo man got a quick question for you and i think some of your other subscribers could benefit. I would like to buy a cheaper pc/laptop/mini pc/ whatever the hell would work to play some older games. Primarily xcom2. The market is absolutely soaked with different things. I think for an old ass game like xcom2 i should hopefully be able to find a quality machine to run it for 300 or less. Help a homie out! Lol
We’ll have you looked on Amazon or MircoCenter - and whatever you buy or find make sure that it has 16GB memory or more on the system and dual core would be cool but I’d look for quad core or more and the storage have at least 512GB or more for storage cause you want to be able to run older games, which there are some laptops/ pc or mini pc out there that can do it, and should be able to find something.

@@CraytonTv What do you think they should add? Being able to tweak the EQs on console was definitely a game changer. The only thing that I thinks missing is being able to rename the presets.
@@Twist-kj2fb well you can customize them but you have to do that on the computer first then sync it to the gameDac so your customization stays, but for me since I use Mac hopefully more sonar settings or bring that over to Mac computer

@@CraytonTv Yeah the Steelseries app will give you a number for each of those Hz. So 30 will have a number between -10 and +10

Need a dongle that’s what I use or plug a usb c to usb c cable into the Mac and gamedac that will work also I do that also

I just got my nova pro, I went to audio settings and equalizer, but there was no presets, it would make me adjust my audio like bass and stuff. Do I need to first connect to the sonar and stuff?
@@ovgamesffa5403 nope you need to download Steelseries GG software and connect the gamedac to the computer so it pop up and it should prompt you to update the headset then after that the sonar presets will pop up on Steelseries GG software and the gamedac

With this headset you can on the gamedac but on the PS5 you have to adjust it inside the game settings.

@@LEROYONER well what headset are you using ? If you are using this headset from the video you gotta do it on the gamedac itself but if you are using a different one then you change it in your game that you play settings if it’s offered.
@@CraytonTv I’m using the arctis nova pro wireless ps version. It seems I can only control the master volume on the dac but I’ll try again on the main console settings and see if that works

So does sonar only work with the Pros? Will you only be able to use GG Eq with the Nova 7’s?
Sonar should work with the ones you have but Sonar is a PC software. If you got a Mac then it only works using Steelseries GG software. I never tried Sonar fully cause I don’t own no PC

@@rxloadzz Sonar is for PC & Console but in order to make your headset even better you need a PC to download sonar then you can make adjustments then sync to your gamedac or headset for the same sound, but the Steelseries GG software has a lot of features they still adding more, and they have some sonar presets if you update your headset
@rxloadzz you can use Sonar to EQ your nova 7’s if you got a PC then you sync to your gamedac or headset then when you play on console your custom will be there

Yes 🙌🏽 download the Steelseries GG software engine to your computer then connect your gamedac to your computer do all the updates then go inside the software set your mic volume correct and your sidetone volume to low or medium and you can add some gain but make adjustments to your headset audio.
You can also do some of these changes on the gamedac itself inside the settings .

Check your gamedac make sure that is set to stream, then check your PS5 control center make sure your audio is fixed

I've had the arctics nova pro wireless for pc and ps5 for 2 weeks now. I go to the gg app on my pc set everything up can have music full blast mic dosen't pick it up when I bring them over to ps5 I can barley breathe without my teammates hearing me I'm about ready to return them any suggestions?
Yeah make sure your PS5 is updated also you might be able to have the new feature for sidetone that way you can adjust your settings for how loud you speak, also did you update the Steelseries and since your using PC you have the ability to use the gg software plus sonar
@CraytonTv Yes everything is updated adjusted noise reduction and other settings in sonar also adjusted mic sidetone etc still dosen't transfer to ps5 works fine on my pc.

Yes after you update the headset and plug to your console go to the audio option then presets then scroll through to find them of the game you want to play then when your on that game your good

Download the Steelseries GG software on your computer, then make a account, and connect your gamedac to the computer then it should find your gamedac headset and prompt a software update for the headset then after it’s done its update you connect back to your PS5
Are you able to change presets? Like if you change presets on the software will it transfer to console?
Yes 🙌🏽 you gotta make sure you hit sync so it saves on the gamedac

Can you explain how you did this just bought the headset and set my settings in sonar but it does not change anything when playing on my ps5
Did you update the headset first with the SteelSeries GG software, then after you do that, you can connect to the PS5 in the gameDac press and hold on the big turn button, then scroll to audio input, then press the big button then it will say Presets, select that option then scroll through the games list

@@iraklisp5563 sonar is a PC software, so unless you got a PC computer 🖥️ to make those changes and save is the only way it will work to the PS5, and the nova 7p but if you don’t only thing you can do is download Steelseries GG software and then you can use the Sonar Presets to your headset customize them and make adjustments then save it and plug it back to the PS5

You can’t talk in Xbox Party Chat, is your headset plug to the controller or to the gamedac ?
Into the gamedac i can hear people but they cant hear me, tried plugging it into the controller itself and still no party audio
@@coaze ok in the gamedac after you plugged it there you did use the headphone jack port then go to your Xbox audio sound settings and to make sure your headphone/ mic is popping up
Yes I’ve plugged the gamedac to the xbox, then from the gamedac back into the headset port i can hear youtube fine, game audio fine, music fine but when i unmute my mic i cant hear myself talk and friends cant hear me but i can hear them

I don’t play RB6 but with this headset there is a preset feature option for RB6 that should work well if you can try the FPS preset

Umm there might be with the recent updates, I’m not too sure, they are always updating and adding stuff.

Umm not too sure, have you plug them up to your computer, and downloaded SteelSeries gg software and updated them if so then it should work.

@@antclothier1178 yeah also give your Mac a restart just to make sure it clear out the cache then install it and it will download all the presets but I still think you find a preset you like and make adjustments or custom ones base off that and the game you play then hit sync on the software so it saves
Yo man got a quick question for you and i think some of your other subscribers could benefit. I would like to buy a cheaper pc/laptop/mini pc/ whatever the hell would work to play some older games. Primarily xcom2. The market is absolutely soaked with different things. I think for an old ass game like xcom2 i should hopefully be able to find a quality machine to run it for 300 or less. Help a homie out! Lol
We’ll have you looked on Amazon or MircoCenter - and whatever you buy or find make sure that it has 16GB memory or more on the system and dual core would be cool but I’d look for quad core or more and the storage have at least 512GB or more for storage cause you want to be able to run older games, which there are some laptops/ pc or mini pc out there that can do it, and should be able to find something.

I did answer that plenty of times, but the rainbow six siege preset from left to right is -10, -6, -1.5, 4.5, -0.5, 6, 3, -6, 0, 3
