Zest Kitchen has been providing healthy vegan foods to the greater Sacramento area since 2011, pioneering the local movement for healthy handmade whole foods that are delicious and inviting to people from all walks of life. Zest creates a fun welcoming bridge from the standard American diet to a healthier lifestyle through the variety of foods and snacks offered at the Rocklin restaurant and through food demo classes and guest speakers. Zest also creates connections with the community by offering art, skin care and other products made by local artists and small minority-owned businesses.
But now they need your help!
The lease ran out on their building and their current landlord wants to use the space for something else and has said Zest needs to be out by 7/31/24.
We are quickly looking for a new space and would love any ideas!
We are here looking for something to lease with a patio and preferably still in the Roseville/Rocklin area although we are open to other ideas. We need to be careful to select a spot that will be successful to ensure that Zest will remain for many years to come!
Ideally it would be a "second generation restaurant" space with important equipment already built in, allowing for a much faster reopening, such as a walk-in fridge (important for keeping all of those veggies and fresh ingredients safely cool) and a hood ventilation system which escorts hot air away from the grills and stove.
Angelique Miller, owner and executive chef at Zest Kitchen in Rocklin, California went vegetarian in 1995 and then vegan in 2009. With decades of experience in management and the tech world, she turned her passions for health and food into reality in 2011 by opening a vegan restaurant which blossomed into Zest. She has catered many special events including yoga and wellness retreats and is certified as a Life Purpose (Dharma) Coach, Theta Healer and yoga instructor. She currently resides in Rocklin with her hilarious adult daughter and is working toward expanding her life and work experiences globally.

I made many nori wraps in my time at Zest, and I can tell you they are just as healthful, beautiful, and delicious as they look in this video! The citrus dressing too is a delicious and tangy recipe that pairs wonderfully with Zest's seasonal harvest bowl.

I make my Nori wrap with a bit of avocado and veges and roll like a burrito. I am going to try this dressing and still roll it. Thank u for this. Ill have to figure out the portions of the mix. I also love the rice wraps that I make alot with cooked veges in. Great presentation.

Hi beautiful people I’m trying hardly to become vegan 🌱 but I always used meat for taste and to share to the rest of my family,my question is do I have to my food separately?

How to give up cream in coffee?
You don’t have to, just buy a good clean healthy vegan creamer with no added oils. I use one that in my herbal tea coffee that is pistachio cream made with oat milk and it’s really good. I use it sometimes on occasions. The herbal coffee is amazing too, it taste like coffee. You can also use soy milk in your coffee as well.
I never thought I could give up cream in my coffee. I used to say I liked coffee creamer more than I liked coffee. I started using soy milk and it's good! It has gotten to where I don't like the coffee creamer at all anymore because it tastes like chemicals to me. If you decide to do it and stick to it, your taste buds will adjust, and your body will thank you for it!

There's already a wraps recipe book that Chef AJ promotes. Can't remember the author. I'm certain that the desserts recipe book is nutritious healthy desserts. Hopefully buying it soon. I'm in the UK.

Naw, I don't think we're on their radar. It's fairly straightforward.... The building was gifted to a church a few years ago and then recently my lease ran out and the church decided they didn't want to be a landlord and would rather use the space for a clothing donation operation they have.
