Thanks so much for this clip, Pratibha. The key takeaway for me is "Always be a student." This applies to everything we do, especially things we're passionate about. Keep up the good work-I appreciate it greatly.
I wish I had started to learn way earlier, I could sing a bit ...something I picked up from my mother who was a talented singer though not trained. I started to learn it on a whim at my late 30s and man it's sooo complex, I wish I'd started earlier.
It’s still not too late. Give yourself a couple of years. If you are learning on the right track and practising regularly you can see visible progress.
Hello mam, amazing content you have shared with us ...I am learning Hindustani classical music but as you said to become a professional singer you need to get some voice training as well, could you please let me know if you can teach me all about voice training, that would be very helpful to me ....thanks Kavita
okay, I don't know if it's appropriate to say this, I have always had problem with shruthi and I am kind of glad it's not a me problem. Me being a Voxguru student, I am glad all my gurus correct me even if one note is off shruthi!
Don’t worry stage fear happens to all of us. It is just your body adapting to new surroundings and it usually lasts just a few minutes. A few things you can do 1. Take deep breaths before you start as your heart rate may be elevated 2. Try to break the ice with the audience by saying a few words before you start singing 3. Close your eyes and focus on the first few lines until your stage fear goes away 4. Most importantly no one else knows you are nervous so just try and get past those first few minutes and you will be fine 😊

Thanks a lot for this advice mam... This really made me to see my love towards music in different way.. even I had this mindset like when will I be a perfect singer.. but after seeing this video I understand and agree that we can never be perfect and we must have a attitude as student until the end and only then we will be learning something better from each day.. that itself will have huge difference ❤
🙏🙏🙏👍👍👏👏For me, when word ends with sound "hmm" like, my voice shows the voice merged with nose. Similarly, high pitch usually makes uncomfortable.. Give better advice
Mmm is a nasal sound so that is quite normal. Nothing to worry. For high pitched sounds the vocal technique needs to be worked on. Check out my videos on this topic of head voice, vocal strain and voice training.
