    I would go as far as to say that he was the best 13 ever. Certainly the best I’ve seen. That man was always a pleasure to watch play. So, from an Englishman: thanks for the magic Brian both for us in a Lions shirt and for all the amazing moments in an Ireland shirt. Even the ones against us haha.

      @@James-hm3jk what a shame you've not met more of us - there are plenty around. In my opinion, BOD was the best centre of the modern era. And an amazing bloke too and his accomplishments are even more remarkable for the fact he played in and Ireland side that weren't world beaters for most of his career (as they are now). Loved watching him, even when he was scoring against us - you can't help but applaud, admire and respect the mans genius. I'd even buy him a pint!

      It's a knowledge management cliche. As a KM consultant I've tried it and halved cherry tomatoes work very well in a fruit salad. Myth busted!

    I’m from New Zealand and he will forever be the best centre I’ve seen in all my life of living and no one will ever compare to what he has done not only for rugby but also for Ireland!! Ireland just a place you can’t hate cause they’re so genuine!! Wish nothing but the best for you Brian!!! Absolute legend

    He was a genius of a rugby player I could watch him play all day he was a maestro player with a God given gift thank you Brian [ Bod] O'Driscoll for all that magic you gave us on the rugby pitch he would have been in my all time greatest team that's for sure I wish he was born in England because I'm a England fanatical rugby fan. He will be remembered forever the great BRIAN O'DRISCOLL.

    I remember watching that offload vs Italy and being amazed and being so happy he got MOTM. Now that he has retired I got emotional watching that highlight again... He's the best player I've ever seen hands down.

    We have different opinions on who is the greatest,but I feel it should be based on who is the most inspirational to you.for me and many other Irish players or fans he lit the game up for thousands of people,proved we are more than what we think we are,he broke himself neumerous times for his country and played with such passion and intensity to the end.he really changed the face of Irish rugby and to him I'm forever great ful,I wonder if he'll even come on the coaching scene to Grace the pitches again

    Utter genius, such a pity he no longer graces a rugby pitch, but delighted I lived through the O Driscoll era. He also enjoyed the unique pleasure of determining when exactly he would retire, something few sports people ever have the ability to do.

    Probably the best all round 13 I have seen. Great leader, player, gentleman. Would love to have seen him partner Tim Horan or the great Danie Gerber. Tim Horan was an unbelieveable 12 whilst Gerber could play inside or outside centre. The much underrated Will Greenwood could have been a great foil for Drico. What a truly beautiful game it can be when you witness genius. Thank you Brian!

    Back in the day, with some Munster tinted vision I'll add, I'd give out about the blonded hair and gloves.
    I watched him in person sit down an English no.5 running straight at him on the 1M line.
    He could wear a tutu and clown shoes after that. The greatest Irish player of all time and a certified Hall of famer.

    Brian’O’Driscoll is the greatest rugby player to ever play the game!?! I was actually at the game in croke park when we played England and it was amazing!?! I’ll never ever forget it!?! It was the first time god save the queen was played in the HQ of Irish republicanism and the fact that no booed god save the queen made it even better!?! And I’m actually thinking about putting a bet on for Ireland to win the next rugby World Cup in Japan!?! I can’t wait!?!
