This isn't an exhaustive list by any means! I tried to include significant moments representing all nations & included some amusing stuff as well! Let me know of any significant moments I missed and perhaps I can make another one before the Six Nations starts!
As a Frenchman, I distinctely recall Vincent Clerc's last minute try at Croke Park vs Ireland which helped secure the Tournament win that year. And that 55-35 defeat in Twickenham, where defenses in both teams decided to take a break.
Yeah, a bit of recency bias and I can think of a few big moments you could have included, but as a random collection of mouthwatering 6 Nations jewels it's fair put me in the mood for next week. Cheers!
How about a compilation of epic moments in the old 5 Nations. And I in no way mean that as a slight against Italian rugby. Would make for a tasty compilation in your more than capable hands. And show some of today's youngsters how the game used to played (remember heads up scrums?).
#23 at @11:13 is joy and despair in one clip as an England fan. Watching such and incredible French performance, but all those points being pumped into England 🥲
*2019. Even the context is nuts. It was the last game of the tournament and Wales had just hammered Ireland to win a grand slam. This was just an after-show, and yet it delivered an insane game of rugby. I heard tales of celebrating Welsh and commiserating Irish fans in pubs in Cardiff starting off ignoring this game and being utterly glued to it by the end. Here's a stat that sums it up: Scotland spent 53 seconds in England's 22, yet scored 6 tries. Less than 9 seconds per try!
I had 6 tickets to that game in the most amazing seats just above the England reserves. The morning of the game my father in law died and I had to drive down to London to give the tickets to my friends who were coming with us. Then back to the Hospital to join my grieving wife and family. There was really no need for them then to go and play one of the games of the century.
Glorious. I would add Scott Williams’ try when he stripped Courtney Lawes, Henson’s winning kick with the ‘shave away’ commentary, Henson tackling Matthew Tait, Ryan Jones splintering the Scottish defence and Scotland’s two cards for tripping in one match. It might be a bit obvious who I support…
I support Scotland, I was in Cardiff that day, but I'd add Wales coming back from 10 points down with a few minutes left to beat an injury-ravaged Scotland to your list. Brutal but unforgettable, and Shane Williams was outrageous.
I was going to say this RUclips guy doesn't like Cymru much 😂 But I enjoyed the video all the same and looking forward to others. Perhaps that will be 90% Cymru footage 🤞
Most recent gutwrencher for me was that french game. Just had to keep it in the forwards another min or so and we gave away a silly sealing-off penalty.
@@daddystu7046 There were about 20 seconds left on the clock when we were penalised (I think it was Cory Hill). Not that I'm bitter, but the ref proceeded to ignore several sealing-off offences in the multiple phases that followed the penalty against us
As a Welshman, it was painful to watch, but the first one….Italy beating Wales in 2022 really was quite special. Well deserved by Italy and a 6 nations win that was a long time coming.
There are many things I live about this video: flankers -the best position IMO- with amazing tackles; intercept tries; that game v Italy when Haskell et all didnt have a clue; and that game where Scotland cane back from 31-0 especially Sam Johnson and Stuart McInally's tries. Absolutely brilliant 😊
It shouldn't. That game ended a player's career with a tackle that today? Would be a straight red card and a lengthy ban. That was the takeaway, the "come back" was a distant 2nd.
Fantastic line up! I will say i wouod have loved to see Fofana's try in Twickenham where be beats the entire english backline, i dont think I've watched a rugby clip more than this one
Great vid. For a part 2, besides other obvious ideas suggested by users, I recommend Murrayfield 07. Italy took a 21-0 lead in the first minutes, thanks to a charge down and two intercepts, and went to win the game 37-17.
For me the moment after Ronan O'Gara's drop kick is the one I always remember. With the clock going into the red Stephe Jones stepped up to take a long-range penalty from the half-way line. I was full sure he'd knock it over, but mercifully, it fell just short, ensuring Ireland won the Slam.
I was sat right behind that goal, with my now ex GF from Dublin and about 10 friends visiting us... As it sailed under the post I just turned and walked through Cardiff city centre in a daze. She found me at home about 2 hours later. I still feel the trauma of that day!!!
Suggestionwise: Couple more for Italy such as winning their debut match over Scotland in 2000 or scoring 3 tries in the opening 7 minutes against the same team in 2007. Wales denying England the Grand Slam while winning the title in 2013, Gethin Jenkins try against Ireland in 05, Wales vs Scotland in 2010, the whole 'red carpet' incident with England and Ireland in Dublin 2003. Plus, Mauro Bergamasco's performance at scrum-half in 2009.
I intended to include the red carpet incident but they only footage I could find was from a documentary which was really bad commentary! But others are great suggestions nonetheless!
That 2010 game should be remembered for what happened to a player whose career was ended and nearly died on the field. Had that game been reffed today, the tackle on Evans would've been a straight red card. Given what was going on with Evans it is little wonder Scotland fell apart.
@@jlm4455 granted it's awful what happened to Evans but having just watched it back, Evans was being tackled when he hit into Byrne so the connection with Byrne that caused the injury was just above Byrne's waist. I don't think it would have been a red card even by today's standards.

Fantastic video, thank you! My only criticism is that I remembered many of these highlights like they were yesterday, and I am sad to see they were actually years ago!
Very good video ! I know you have to pick and choose ,for instance Ireland denying England a Grand Slam twice, Johnny Wilkinson's brilliant drop goal against Ireland in 2003 when we were shellaced by England. Two things made me feel a bit sad, Scotland not holding on to beat England 38-31, and Italy, a team 23 years in the 6N simply winning a game, and even worse having to include just about all of the handful of games they did win.
Despite winning 4 grand slams and 2 other championships, the only unforgettable thing involving Wales in a positive light is George North’s try. What about the comebacks against France in Paris in 2005 and 2019? Mike Phillips’ charge down in Twickenham in 2008? Scotland being blown away in 2005?
Virtually every time Wales are featured it involves them snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the last 5. It is their signature tune and it has been going on for years.
I know! But this selection proves that even before the last 2 years Ireland could show promise for the future. Not the blood and thunder dunderheads that so many people think of them!
Italy ruck gate is both the funniest and dumbest bit of rugby to happen in that decade. It was both amusing to see england so flustered and confused with no solution (the easiest being just pick and go until you force them to bind), but at the same time I was screaming at the TV because it broke all the laws of rugby we thought we understood.
Being Irish, the grand slam kick from O'Gara will probably always be the most memorable moment of any six nations - the pure joy of it. But a couple more come to mind that aren't in here. Ireland vs England in Croke Park, Peter Stringer tap tackling Jason Robinson to stop him scoring, and a non Irish one - Wales coming from behind in the last four minutes to beat Scotland in 2010. Absolute scenes
Of the 4 Scotland moments, I was at 3. 1. Finn with the greatest pass of all time at Murrayfield in 2018 2. Duncan Hodge in the rain to beat England in 2000 3. Duhan and THAT try last year. Wasn’t at the come back match at Twickenham in 2019. I’m actually glad I wasn’t as I’m fairly certain I would have left at 31-0 down and beat the crowds back into London. Never would have forgiven myself 😂
every calcutta cup victory Scotland has had since 2018 ive been to, 2019 was pure insanity, id had just about given up hope when we started scoring and by the end of the match most English fans had left the stadium, apart from my friend. I was almost crying by the end of the match and at that point you would've thought you were in Murrayfield with how loud everyone was singing flower of Scotland. I have been extremely lucky to see those matches as a Scotland fan and I don't take for granted. Eventually the auld enemy will take their revenge.

I had so much fun that day the fact we lost the Championship just didn't phase me. Hard not to be entertained by an end to end back and forth that ends 55 - 35. It was a truly awesome day.
#12. I put £9 on Scotland at half-time. at 100/1. Cash out got as high as £750 and I held firm. I don't think I've ever felt so sick than at the end of that game.
Christ, Bergamasco looks just like Jake Paul. Or the other one, I dunno. Here’s a video suggestion: rugby lookalikes… I’ll start you off - Faf de Clerk and Matt Berry 😂
An idiot knows that it wasn't the kick itself but what those two points meant for Italy's losing streak. I'll always remember the sheer ecstasy from Garbisi after he made that kick.
God, the Mike Phillips try - stupendous. The officials, and the whole of Ireland, half asleep - but not M. Phillips!! Glorious, and a lesson to all youngsters; PLAY THE WHISTLE - because you never know!

I had so much fun that day the fact we lost the Championship just didn't phase me. Hard not to be entertained by an end to end back and forth that ends 55 - 35.
It was a truly awesome day.
The Italian try was the best and I'm Irish and the next one was where we won the grand slam
3:11 - The player asks for clarity of the rules, not how to combat Italy’s tactics.
Yup I always thought that was poor refereeing and a bit unfair and that’s coming from an Irishman who loved seeing the Italians outsmart England!
Hello there , is it fine if our Company use this video ?
Of course👍🏻
That pass from Finn Russell was top class
That England Scotland game was immense, 38 all having been 31-0 up.
Ruck Gate. That was a hilarious match.
That tackle by Lawes. I can still feel it and I wasn’t in any way involved.
You could add that Gavin Henson tackle when Wales played against England i believe
espectacular pibe, 11 puntos
#12. I put £9 on Scotland at half-time. at 100/1. Cash out got as high as £750 and I held firm.
I don't think I've ever felt so sick than at the end of that game.
Number six....was in a bar in wales for that, and it was glorius. If that was England nowadays under borewick we'd just kick it away
Christ, Bergamasco looks just like Jake Paul. Or the other one, I dunno. Here’s a video suggestion: rugby lookalikes… I’ll start you off - Faf de Clerk and Matt Berry 😂
I love that commentators throaty voice when France smashed England. RAAAAMMOS, FLAAAMMENT
Thank you its fabulous
Did you really have to show that one first :( - Feels like the start of our downward trend.
What a tournament. A couple others would be Scotland beating France in Paris 2021, and Wales beating Scotland in Cardiff 2010
Can’t believe they didn’t include the Scotland Vs Wales game in 2010!!!!
0:30 A routine kick through the posts. What's unforgettable about it?
The try that precedes it and the fact it was Italy's first Six Nations win for 7 years?
An idiot knows that it wasn't the kick itself but what those two points meant for Italy's losing streak. I'll always remember the sheer ecstasy from Garbisi after he made that kick.
Great video but I had to skip the England 31 lead /Scotland game. Ptsd kicking in
The St Patrick Day grand slam in Twickenham is a shout for the list
Man, O'Driscoll was just an insanely good player.
Some great clips but no Shane Williams ?
Apologies!
God, the Mike Phillips try - stupendous. The officials, and the whole of Ireland, half asleep - but not M. Phillips!! Glorious, and a lesson to all youngsters; PLAY THE WHISTLE - because you never know!
Different ball. Absolutely ridiculous that it stood.
