We are really concerned with what the narrator said (watch our intro): “For obvious reasons, it was painful to watch a boy band from Korea get schooled by a Black rapper.” What are those obvious reasons? Are we inferencing a negative depiction of Black people in Korea? Help us out! We thought that was not the case. 👇🏾 COMMENT BELOW 👇🏾
I haven't finished the video, and I haven't seen the original so I don't (yet) know the context this was said in but, generally speaking, yes, Korea is known for being a very (although often unintentionally) racist country. And not just racist but colorist, being pale is the ideal of beauty. This comes, at least in part, from the fact that Korea is one of the most homogeneous societies there are, so everyone who looks different is often seen as _other_ and undesirable like, say, for example, by having a darker skin color.
I don't understand why the narrator had to include that in the video. It's very offensive and I don't understand the reason for it either. The only thing I could think of is the fact that Korean society is known to be pretty racist, so maybe that's where it's coming from?
The link in your video description goes to the unicef speech and not the video you're reacting to! I haven't seen the video before & I haven't seen your reaction to it yet, so I have no idea what the context is- if its about the american hustle life series? I think it's just a super cringey show but at the same time they seemed to learn so many valuable things there (it had it great moments)
This man gave up his solo career for BTS, he never once doubted his group and always kept them together, never degraded a member, always encouraged to do more and support each other. I don't know about you but that's some fine leadership right there..
I know that we are here for RM but right now I am on 14:44 and just should say. I think it was Jungkook, who said "if RM is the one leading us, then Suga is the one supporting us from the back". Suga always helps other members, usually more with actions than words. But he encourages them and praises when he sees that they really need it. He always says that Jimin's voice is his favourite, because earlier Jimin wasn't confident. When he produced Autumn leaves he started the song with Jin's vocals because usually Jin don't have much lines. There is a lot of sweet things that Suga made, like, for example, on his own birthday he made over 300 handwritten notes and gifts for fans to show them his love. I'm sorry, just it's so tiring to see how people always misunderstand him, when he is actually the kindest person
If you want to know more about their deep toughts, the relationship between them and how they think, I recommend to you to watch the Bts Festa parties (2018, 2019, 2020), they answer a lot of meaningful questions about them. Also it would be good if you watch some funny moments, I recommend "Don't let bts go on tour"
A lot of introductions can't do the members justice as they are all just so complex. Honestly they each need a full doc but yes. SUGA used to be portrayed as cold and "savage" and while he is quick and he can be brutal (especially in his music) most ARMYs actually describe him as the embodiment of "comfort"! He has this reassuring energy and presence that is hard to describe
I was thinking that too, but then she said "In our culture". I'm thinking she might be Korean, but raised in a country outside of SK, which is why her accent is not an SK accent. Or she's trying to present that way which is even shadier and I don't put past. Who knows! Glad I wasn't the only one that thought that. 💜
@@tajbabydoll she's actually Filipino American Her channel's in the United States, and her channel is "Asian entertainment and culture". I mean her channel's name tells you where her mindset is. There's no such thing as "ASIAN" culture. we may share similar values in Confucian roots, but japan, korea china, taiwan, thailand, phillippines, etc all took a very unique path and have socially evolved in different ways - different language, food, customs, social dynamic, etc. Only pple in non-asian countries use a term like "asian culture" simply due to non asians not being able to understand the differences out of ignorance. it's like saying "european culture" cus some pple cant differentiate btwn french and german culture. it's nonsense. It seems she's fallen victim to being categorized as "asian" and has subconciously fully embraced it. She may think all asians are the same, thus she uses " our culture" and paint every asian in one broad stroke. .
@@lahellight4337 That is sad to hear that she's like this, but please don't classify all non-Asians or those that are from non-Asian countries as this. That is no better than classifying a Black, Hispanic or White people or people in other countries as a stereotype. I am Black American and I fully understand the differences of Asian races and cultures having grown up around many different cultures/races and I respect them all. I understand you were making a point, but at the same time kind of did the same thing as she did in lumping all of a group together, only in reverse. We are one family (ARMY) and all of our differences are what makes us both special and the same. 💜
@@tajbabydoll oh, i'm not classifying anything. it's just pointing out how ridiculous the term "asian" is when describing someone's culture or background- there literally are 50 countries with different cultures and with various ethnicities in Asia, but somehow they're all amalgamated into ONE word. it's nonsense.
I don’t think the narrator is a native English speaker. Her choice of words in some parts of the video is offensive. A lot of the stuff in the video also pertain to her opinions/speculations. She’s speaks for herself. Not all Asians.
@venetian blinds I'm muslim... And we don't respect and support about lgbtq🙏🙏💜💜... But its our perspective okay.... As a muslim army I respected that Rm is such pay attention for minority...even I dont respect and support abt that. I appreciate RM attention.... Proud me, peace army🙏💜💜💜
yes. cringe as hell. and suspicious. There is a very strong effort in the Korean music industry to take BTS down. They aren't getting the money they used to. And we have seen dirty fighting. I wouldn't be surprised if this was an industry plant. Everyone KNOWS how much RM and Suga loves hip hop, and have paid homage from the git go. They purposefully went to LA TO get mentored. Id pay attention to what and how the narrator spoke. "our culture"? sounds S. Korean to me. And they can be prejudiced. No, this is not sanctified ARMY. I'm so sorry, but kinda glad you saw this. Its no joke the amount of hate and dirty play BTS gets. And still gets. Something is very wrong here. I gave your vid a like because you spent time on it and I love you guys, but I DONT like the vid itself.
Haha we said sunburnt and then proceeded to delete the discussion around the research around Asian Flush Syndrome aka Alcohol Flush Reaction. We just weren't at a place where we were ready to include it.
American hustle life was a MAJOR culture shock for BTS and most Koreans. The narrator was insensitive with her wording but I don't think she meant it how it sounded. BTS was treated harshly at times and the perceived disrespect was hard to watch for many people.
It wasn't a cultural shock for BTS or most Koreans AT ALL. the country's been exposed to hiphop since the 1990s the narrator isn't even korean so idk why she makes it seem like its her obligation to speak for all koreans. literally no koreans took offense to "black" mentors. everyone knows hiphop came from america with urban roots. - and it's not just a "black culture". hiphop has roots in mostly poor urban communities with diverse backgrounds - notably latino-Americans, Carribean American, Black-American - which spread WORLD WIDE. Hiphop's about freedom of expression no matter where you come from. - so the cast wasn't the issue. HOWEVER, the "prank" was a major issue. the boys were literally scared out of their minds. The main criticism was HOW and WHY the prank was there in the first place - also the accommodations provided by MNET. K-Army thought at least Mnet would provide better rooms but they managed to downgrade their crappy 1 bedroom dorm to a hole in a wall studio with NO BEDROOMS. BTS were already going through A LOT in korea, why take them all the way to AMERICA to suffer more? what? it wasnt enough that they were gettin crapped on in korea, Mnet had to drag them out to a foreign country to crap on them internationally?? it was just hard to watch if you were ARMY then.
@@lahellight4337 I think they meant "culture shock" as in a lot of korean's were shocked at how bts were treated, not at the mentors being of a different race.
@@iduli02 uh, no. There are MANY korean-americans who live in korea and MANY who come abroad to US schools to study - over 60,000 Korean students go abroad to study in America each year. - and they spread the awareness to their respective families and have been doing this for nearly 3 decades. And most koreans in Korea have at least 1 family living in America. there was no "cultural" shock. Even the older generations know or atleast are aware how different pple are in America. And the mentors treated BTS fine. literally they were cool. got along well and joked around with each other. ARMY was upset at how MNET treated BTS not how the mentors or how America treated BTS.
@@lahellight4337 Yups I think the Korean accepted AHL different but now we can see at their reality show like JK treated at one of K-reality show.. same as AHL did to them.... I think labelling other the rough but Korean show now do the same thing. Hip hop root is black people express their music art... Why hip hop Korea notice different to black rapper??? I think that wrong narration... Did they know there Korean-Afroamerican rappper woman there and she is one of the hiphop legend???... And did they know some of their kpop mentor is black???... All country have some people who couldn't accept other races... Even at USA or Europe... Thant FACT.... But some of youth global movement not want to to do that because they think we belong to the earth and earth need us as human not as a nation...
It's normal to compare teenage rebellion (RM's struggles) as similar all over the world but you're not taking into account the culture. Asian culture teaches a deep respect for elders.. for teachers.. for parents. And honorifics used in the Korean, Chinese or Japanese languages only reinforce this respect. To go against that must be one of the most difficult choices anyone can make. We're talking about a culture where, until recently, parents would map out their child's life -- including choosing an advantageous marriage partner. I personally think that Namjoon's parents must be amazing. After all, they raised him and helped form his core values. Although, they had some plans for him, they chose to let him follow his own path. Kudos to them.
rm is kind of person that reflect to himself and make sure to know if there is any thing he did wrong and correct it and he also so thoughtful and think a lot like last time he was thinking about his persona and thats why he struggle
She wanted to talk about the disappointment when rejected by the people from whom that genre was originated. Just like the situation that you are scolded by a "Korean kpop singer " for your performing K pop music in Korean.
I get what this person was trying to get across but I'm not okay about some of the language she used either. American Hustle Life is just cringe to watch. A lot of their treatment was the production staff trying to add drama and comedy, they did learn a lot about hip hop and made connections in the American hip-hop music industry through it though. Some of the controversies you'll see around BTS are explained by the White Paper Project that was made after a big incident in 2018 that I'm not going to say anything about here. The hat incident with RM, was a Nazi style hat that was put on him for a photoshoot. The company (which that company should have known better) that did the shoot just randomly found the hat and wasn't paying attention to the content on it. Also have to factor in that Asia does not have the historical knowledge/context like Westerners do. Bighit and RM apologized and made a statement that they would better police content before it gets published in the future. I think there is better content out there an the members but not compiled all together like this. But yeah, I don't think this video was a very thought out recommendation. Thank you for being objective and asking questions before jumping to conclusions. Korea is a pretty homogenized society, that factor into a lot of their CA and racism problems. But honestly, the younger generation and the generation that lived through the Korean War have less racism. I've lived in Korea with my boyfriend, who is black, and he prefers living in Korea and his treatment there than in the US. We got on with a surprising amount of old Korean men. haha His words, "at least in Korea it's easier to have conversations to get passed the ignorant racism barrier. Once I start having a conversation with them they are more open to learning." There's a lot more to be talked about but this is already too long. Again I really enjoy your reactions and thoughts on these things. I love your attitude about the weird hate that people like to spread. Keep doing you! Much love.
My daughter was 19 and went to Korea for school from August to January. She is Jamaican and black. She loved Korea. She was looked at, but she was going to be looked at since she is a foreigner and she didn't care. Maybe after living there for a year.
Coolio and his "mentors" were very disrespectful but Warren G thankfully was so much better, actually providing real help like teaching jin and jhope to beatbox. It was all cringe but this narrator words are super sketch
I dunno if I'm allowed to but there another reaction duo on RUclips that actually know Toni and invited him to talk and watch bits on BTS and Toni was amazing! He speaks so highly of all 7 members and really full hearty loves Jimin it was lush to watch! Plus we got more info on the show and scenes we don't get to see!
@@hannahcampey7530 Talking about FO Squad? I think I caught one of those episodes they did and it was really good to find out some extra things that happened. Tony has a lot of respect for the guys
@@jjaybluejay2505 You're totally right. Something like 1/3 of Asians can't break down alcohol properly and develop a flush because of the buildup of whatever it is in alcohol that gives you hangovers. It's much rarer in other races. I read an article about it years ago but forgot all the technical words! hehe
I think you should listen to rapper's mixtapes: RM's "Mono", Suga's "Agust D" and "D-2" and Hobi's "Hope World". They will explain their stories themselves
@@RM-of2oz yes.... Actually RM first mixtape is underrated but masterpiece. Most army dont know about 'RM' mixtape. Only RM stan and OT7 know about this.
@@melonapel49 All of his work is underrated/under appreciated by the fandom, except by Namjoon stans and OT7 stans like u said. It’s crazy because the fandom is so quick to go hype up anything Suga Or JHope creates hell even the vocal line (In which they should) but it seems it’s so hard to find ARMYs actually hyping up Namjoon’s work
Hi, everyone! It's hard to be careful in reacting to videos we've never seen. Plus, this reaction provided us with the discourse and engagement we were looking for. If we only react to the videos everyone has already seen 10s or 100s of times, we are only providing content that is so similar to anyone else. We don't want to do that, we want to be us always (first) and we would love to also be able to be the first ones to react to other videos Armys haven't seen, yet, either. We did that with The Asian Theory video about BTS (The Most Beautiful Life Goes On) and from what I saw, we were the first. Recommendations are ALWAYS helpful, but we don't need videos to be vetted first--the video creator actually reached out to us and has since recreated her video and from what I can see about her video and the others that tons of people have watched, they are satisfied. Providing a reaction to a video that is not [yet] accepted by Army provides value in that we can create the discussions that need to be had whether it be within the BTS world or for the creator of the video. Just my $0.02. -Chalfant
I think it's great you try and find new content. Just ve wary you can find a lot of what's called "crack content" that's kind of hard to understand even for the oldest ARMY (I'm a newish ARMY and I find myself lost a lot!)
Thanks for this reaction @Chalfant and @Trale! No worries and agree that this was an excellent opportunity for racial discourse - a big strength of your channel.💜
I could not imagine the heavy burden he was carrying, the scary things he imagined and the people he had to face. I cry every time I watch and find out his past. I don't want her to experience things like that anymore, you grow well and I can't explain in words how much effect you have on my life, V said in an interview that Joon doesn't have to be the leader like he is. He is the link between the company and the guys and he tries to make everyone happy. He takes every mistake and like rumor or bad word on his shoulder and tries to fix it and even though he could be cocky about all the credits he gets for writing music or for being the leader of one of the best groups out there he doesn't.He doesn't put himself first. He puts the team. He had to learn to dance even though he could say "F it I don't have to do this much it's just a stupid choreo I can just rap my part and be done" he does work hard to be in sync with the others and has many injuries in the past but still keeps going. Namjoon talks really deep in the lives he does on Vapp or even the songs he writes and is not afraid to show that he is flawed and that is okay. I have so much respect to Joon and I don't like to put pressure on him to be perfect cause his position as a leader does on its own. I just accept him for who he is at any time. Immature, tired, grumpy, sad, dorky any side is Joon. People put so much hate since Day1 in Joon and still bring out his past mistakes and always try to drag him but they forget he is still a Human. He is still a child like he said in Burn the Stage. Let's be kind to Joon. He may talk like a philosopher but he is still hurt by the world. 🥺🐨💪💜🥰
I love the way you reacted to this video, your sincerity shows. I love you guys. I want to think the narrator didnt mean to sound like that. You know BTS and ARMY are very respectful, and I guess this video was supposed to spread awareness. May I recommend the FESTA videos. Lots of love from Argentina.
So I'm seeing a lot of comments saying Korea is racist etc etc. I think these people have not watched either the video in full or American Hustle Life in full. I do not think she meant anything racist with how she narrates, or maybe it was a mistranslation (I'm guessing English is not her first language). But I THINK you will understand once you watch the whole show. Coolio literally told Taehyung that he is the dumb blonde member of the group, just because of his hair color and how he acted, and punished him physically (by doing push ups). That show is 90% cringe - you will see when you watch it. Then one guy (i forgot his name) literally walked out of Jin and Suga as he refused to wear something for their group. Jin even asked him politely that it's for teamwork but he refused, went back on the car and slept. So I guess that was the "painful" part. It's not at related to race and/or hiphop
I didnt like this video. The way they worded certain things was straight up disrespectful and unneeded. It also jumped really fast between derzeit Clips and only used little footage of rm talking and addressing those controversies himself or cutting it short and only using small percentages of what he actually said. The way she talked about rm COVERING songs with explicit content heavily insinuated that she also thought he did something wrong. Also American hustle live is just painful to watch, not because BLACK guys scolding KOREAN men (your skin colour doesn't have anything to do with you as a perseon) but bc the way their "Mentors" Talked and interacted with them was most of the times really disrespectful and when that happened you could clearly See in the members faces that they were shocked about beeing treated like that. (If anyone whould be like that to me all the time at work for instance, i would probably quicker than i can get my paycheck)you don't need to be disrespectful to teach people. It's was just unecissary. Really, who ever recommended this to you Bad Job. Armys mostly know which Videos are the best to watch and would recommend specific videos that they have already recommended others. It's almost like a list. Videos that are like that a for instance: Bts contribution to music Bts from nobodies to legends(whole series) Bts members habits This is bts Introduction to bts and so on
agree. Preach !!!!! This video wasn't the best and the way she talked made me mad on how she said some of the facts......... But in the end I'm proud of RM
I like that they took a less common suggestion and went with it. I don't want to place any blame on whoever recommended this to them, but I do believe that there are better videos out there to react to regarding RM's growth as a person and an artist and the obstacles he's had to overcome to get there. Still, props to them for doing this and to whoever recommended for trying to bring something new to the table.
Everyone talks about Jin turning 28 this year 2020 but, Suga turns 28 in March 2021 I think. So we could have lost 2 members within 4 months of each other. We now have 2 years for Korea to rethink BTS and give them an exemption.
From the very beginning the video you reacted to feels veeeeeeery weird, the tone and phrasing, the message behind it...doesn't sit right with me 😬 mind you, there are many unofficial videos made by solo stans, antis, delulu stans, weird shippers etc. Did you find the video yourself or was it suggested?
What you were talking about with the parents, and if the parents put up a strong enough objection to your dreams then you have to leave their home never happened to RM. His parents were dubious, but ended up supporting him. It DID happen to Suga though. His parents were so opposed to him becoming a rapper that, from what I understand, he had to run away from home and come to Seoul to become a song writer. There is a video of one of their concerts, where Suga sees his parents on the audience and just drops to the stage. Fully prostrating himself in front of his parents and sobbing. So you can imagine what it must have meant to him to have his career choice finally acknowledged by them.
Don’t misunderstand, American Hustle Life was 99.9% cringe!! Most armys physically can’t watch it- BTS was set up over and over for the show. MNet put this show together, not Big Hit! MNet wanted disaster and promoted it: recently the kid who was insulting to Jimin came online and stated that the producers egged him on to be hard on the members and get a reaction out of them. He said he was just a kid and didn’t know better. So that’s the attitude of the producers behind the show; to have it be entertaining at the expense of the BTS. Recently, an army reporter spoke with the father of one of the women who is in the show. A few weeks after the show was made, she was in a fatal car accident. Her father said while working on the show and up until her death, she was talking about BTS to everyone because they made such a good impression on her for being genuinely good people. He said she knew they were going to make it. The race issue in SK: The younger generation is definitely changing the viewpoint of this “foreignness” (or outright racism) regarding race. I won’t be condescending by saying that white people get treated differently as well, but there is definitely an issue stemming from being a homogenous race. It’s like when Koreans praise for being light-skinned; it’s not because they think white people are superior LMAO it’s just that historically the poor had darker skin from working outside. The noble class had servants carrying umbrellas, scholars were inside. I agree with some of the other commenters that this narration is flawed but not out of malice. Even in South Korea, you cannot be both a racist and a fan of BTS; it’s not possible. Because I’m army-friends with so many Koreans on Twitter who have explained (seemingly?) offensive remarks like this to me I can say that people commenting like this don’t mean it the way it is translated, even if they are the ones translating it. In this case, she is talking specifically about AHL and I personally think skin color may have been less of the issue and the fact that it was a rapper (compared to a doctor, a lawyer, etc) and a person of any color who was larger and intimidating. Don’t get me wrong, there is very definitely a race issue in South Korea. Being Jewish, I had to deal with the backlash about the stylist who gave Namjoon the Nazi uniform- this is the same company/photo op that gave Jimin a tee-shirt depicting the bombing of Hiroshima. That company said they didn’t realize the inappropriateness of it, that they had pulled military-looking pieces and apologized, Big Hit did the same. Just know that regardless of what you hear/see *ever*, BTS has always worked to erase those hidden and overt dividers that humans create based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, skin color, economic status, etc. all of those superficial things that people use to degrade and hate on another. Even knowing there will be backlash and consequences, they promote their message “no matter your skin color, your gender identity,” etc. South Korea became homophobic like it is after one of the occupations, I think? (apologies for not remembering that history, but I remember before homosexuality wasn’t such a huge deal) now it is a big deal and while not accepted, there are people are trying to make it less of an issue and flat out accepted. BTS being one of those who fight. Namjoon and the other members have always been very straightforward about what they believe and that should have ruined their career. Bang-PD gave them freedom to make such statements even in the early years. There is so much to write on so many topics but I think a lot of the comments so far are saying it better than I can. I have to get back to work, but didn’t feel right about not making a comment on this video. Sorry it wasn’t well thought out; I have much to say on these issues and couldn’t bear not addressing a bit of it at least.
Why always watch some videos edited by others? In fact, the best way to understand them is to listen to their songs and watch their official videos, such as runBTS, variety shows, documentaries or interview videos. Video producers do not necessarily fully understand the facts, which may affect your impression of them. My native language is not English, I hope my comments don’t look rude.
I liked this video but totally agree with this comment. Watch Run, Bangtan Bombs, or Rookie Kings to see their personalities both younger and older versions.
“RM,SUGA , and JHOPE enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in March last year, and they are currently attending school. and JIMIN & V will enter Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in September,” the agency said, via Soompi. The agency also confirmed that JIN is also currently attending Hanyang Cyber University, while JUNGKOOK is attending Global Cyber University with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment. Jin graduated from Konkuk University with a major in Film Studies, while RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V graduated from Global Cyber University with a Broadcasting and Entertainment major.
Not sure why there's so much negative comments about the original video since I didn't feel any malicious intent in her viewpoints. (I'm satisfied with her explanation about her word choice in response to a few people who bothered to ask instead of being so quick to judge.) About AHL, you should watch yourselves to form your own opinion as everyone seems to have a strong reaction to it. I liked the content in that it focused on mistakes we all make in our younger selves, how RM dealt with those to grow as a person and the challenges he experienced to be the person he is now. Good reaction.
Since you reviewed somewhat serious aspect of RM, I recommend videos of his clumsiness. We say BTS has best system one guy takes care of six people and six guys take care of one person LOL
Hey guys. I’m newly sub to your channel. I love your points, sincerity and that you are openminded. I’ll keep watching your reactions. Love from European army 💜💜
I really appreciate you guys acknowledging that mental health issues are not seen the same in various communities. I know it's worse in POC communities, but the poverty one really hit me hard. My father has lost friends to suicide and yet during my worst mental health day (multiple panic attacks) he kept saying "Everything is alright, Daddy can fix whatever is wrong, I promise" and he WAS trying to help me but it showed me he STILL doesn't understand that mental health is not just 'nothing is wrong' externally, it's your brain hating you. He still doesn't understand that. I"m 30 and it was a birthday party where I had that bad attack so on top of my anxiety I had guilt for 'ruining' the party but he kept trying to tell me I had no reason to be that way instead of understanding it is brain chemicals. He (and I) grew up poor so in his mind if you're not injured or sick you have no reason to be 'worried'. It's a repetitive mindset. I was happy to hear that you guys acknowledged that poverty leads to such of a mindset. (Sorry for the long comment)
Your channel is actually one of the few channels I bothered subscribing. There's so much take aways your viewers get every single time you do reactions. I also enjoy your chemistry as a duo. So much sense and at the same time I can personally relate to most if not all of your view points. Unlike some reactions, you admit to things that you do not understand and make your viewers feel that you really want to learn/clarify things. Thank you!
But many Koreans are welcoming. (Culture, people etc.) They aren’t completely like some of these comments say. Many foreign people has been coming and living in South Korea and many Korean citizens said that they are used to it. It’s normal. Korea is conservative about sexuality, mental health etc., it’s true. But rather than nothing, it has been getting little by little better, thankfully.
A rapper is a rapper no cap!!!! I'm really taken back by this video you both reacted to not going to lie. Being in Michigan, this state is so divided in every way imaginable. I love you guys and I appreciate the time and positive energy you put out into the world.
RM's mixtape MONO is my favourite solo album, it is very much him as Namjoon not RM, very personal, check it out if you have time. BTW, J-hope's mixtape Hope- world is also excellent.
The word perverse. You have to remember she isnt talking about here but South Korean. Sex isn’t talked about, Ever! Joon and Tae as judges on the tv show. Just a side note. You have to find the video of Tae dancing in high heels. I was jealous I can’t dance that well in heels. Gender. The boys have tried to challenge western stereotypes of male behavior. Men in Korea hold hands hug each other. The boys wear gender neutral clothing. They sometimes wear women’s clothing. Jimins song. another thing that they have done maybe not intentionally is jimin and Jungkook relationship. Skin ship is big. These two are seriously close. So of course they were shipped. Jikook or kookmin if you haven’t seen it yet you will. Now jimin and Jungkook ship themselves. And its adorable. Jimin was always flirty with young jk on camera. Off camera he was the one who did much of the daily care of jk. Jk was 14 jimin was 16. They all played a role in raising jk into who he is now. But jimin has a little brother jk age and jk had a brother Jimins age. the were from the same town. Jimin just stepped in. Shippers have gotten obsessed with it and boys play it up. They could be the two gayest people in Korea it would make no difference to me. But taking a behavior and manipulate it to fix your mold is not healthy. You’ve been warned. Back to the video.black rapper. There are a lot of rappers in Korea none are black. You need to watch the hustle life. It’s brutal at times. Their aren’t a lot of African American in Korea. And there were three grown men schooling seven boys. It starts with the boys believing they were being kidnapped. They couldn’t even understand English and they were scared. Next, Jhope was drunk in that video. That was the first time bighit “allowed” the boys to drink on camera. I think hit man bang just gave up. Our boys know there own minds. In a vlive Jin and jimin were having dinner in a hotel while on tour. Jin went to the bar in the room and jimin reminded him that they weren’t supposed to drink on camera. Jin said I’m not drinking I have a sore throat. It was his medicine. Lol they said once on a interview what some of their rules were and RM said no drunk tweeting that same week I think we got two first one was jimin and Jungkook the next one was Rm. bang must pull his hair out sometimes. They don’t always follow the rules. But they don’t hurt anyone. The boys don’t talk about there families much. RM’s mom is one of the only one to be on camera. Jungkooks brother is on social media he is a artist and is known to drawl pictures of jk and jimin. And Jhopes sister has taken pictures with him.
YoU TwO!!! Again, another great video and reaction! I am from the southern US and I’m over 50... Ikr... I get such backlash and am joked at for Loving this Special Group of young men who have done such much for not just me but for my teenager! Their music is impactful and helpful to our future generations !!! ! !!! No Matter their favorite genre of music; there are songs for ALL of them!🥰💟
First of all... Chalfant in a hat! Love what you're representing and thank you. Then, Trale throwing out Chrysler, definitely share your stories, too... So home! As for the video, you've asked before what the viewpoint of Blacks in Korea is and unfortunately, it's not generally positive. The younger generation has shifted some, but as country that does not have a largely diverse population, the viewpoint of Blacks is almost solely based on what the negative perspective media and movies portrays. It might help to watch one of the videos on RUclips that address Koreans viewpoints on Blacks. Thank you for doing this, I'd never seen it. You're definitely doing your own way of discovering the group/guys. I look forward to following your journey and look forward to seeing each reaction. 💜
"Pervert" is used a bit differently in Korea than in the US. Not saying it has a different meaning but I've heard the members use it a few times. I think it isn't considered as offensive there. (my opinion, but if you watch enough BTS content, you see that it doesn't trigger people there the way it does here.). Maybe the korean word has slightly different connotations.... layers of meaning... that the English word does not. Difficulties in translation?
I found the channel and there are other videos on different members, but not all of them. This video in particular, though, I couldn't find, which makes me think the channel put this one and probably others on private.
@@sofia_with_an_f anyway this one was pretty strange video, if others are the same i'm not sure that i will be able to handle them😅 but thank you for informing me (:
This video is pretty offensive. I like your reactions but maybe a recommendation is to focus on BTS direct content like their music, MVs, Run episodes and music show performances. So many people create questionable videos/content for clicks...this is just a suggestion. BTW, I am Korean...I read a lot of comments on here that 'Koreans are racists"...makes my heart ache. Korea is 99% homogenous country (it is the opposite of America). Korea was called the "Hermit Kingdom" for a reason...very closed off to the world. Korea has recently emerged onto the global stage fairly recently. Most Koreans you meet are super warm and embrace new cultures (AFTER THEY GET TO KNOW YOU)...yes I agree that there has been lots of colorism/racism to outsiders in the past and I want to apologize for that as a Korean. They are trying to change. Change takes time.
Thank you. And while we are just getting started in this “journey”, videos like this should be highlighted, discussed, and/or commented on in an attempt to highlight the truth and debunk the inaccuracies presented, as well. That should be the overall goal. Thanks, again!
Yes, namjoon is the man who has the same age as me but i feel like he is a role model and a teacher to me, his lyrics is so meaningful and deep but bringing positive power to the world. His speech and the way he talks just giving me a lesson, his mono mixtape is my favvv masterpiece out of bts music which literally help me gone through my hardest time in my life, so worthy to listen💪🏻 ‘Namjoon being adorable on vlive’ also can know his personality more deeper too haha pls react to it if u have time😳😳 his ‘tree theory’ in the video which change my attitude positively, so impressive😳
I haven't seen AHL with BTS for a long time. I do remember that parts of that show certain people really treated BTS disrespectfull and were showed discriminative behaviour towards BTS. That's a big part why a lot of ARMY didn't/don't like AHL. On the other side there were also very good people who treated BTS with respect and didn't show discriminative behaviour towards BTS. Either way BTS went through a lot during that time. I think it also helped them. Maybe that's one of the reasons why RM always mentions that he doesn't care what color/shape etc you are because, at the end of the day we are all human. I think you should maybe watch AHL for yourself (all episodes) because, then you can form your own opinion. All over the world people are getting discriminated. Every culture does it. It was like that in the past and sadly we as human beings never learned anything because, we are still doing it. Some people react if they hear 1 word and form their opinion on only that 1 word. Sometimes you need to try to find the whole story and after hearing all the facts you sometimes have to adjust your opinion. Sorry, for my long reaction but, in my family we have a combination of different cultures. I'm Dutch, husband is American and his ancestors are Comanche, his stepfather is Mexican, my sister in law is from Chili, my cousins is from Australië, another cousin is from Germany etc. I have friends who are from Indonesia, Marocco, Turkey, Chana, Somalië. Sorry but, I can only see them as persons. When I or my Sisters or brother would ask my parents why someone had a different color.. They told us; fighting or hurting someone because of having a different color is stupid because, we are all built the same way. Same amount of bones, blood etc. All of us are born and will also die. We all have emotions; happy, sad, anger etc And if I look father then my nose is long I can clearly see that at the moment from this COVID19 it doesn't matter what color you are... We all can get the this same terrible desease. That's why I like BTS. Yes, BTS is still not treated fair in my personal opinion because, they should already have won a Grammy. You know what I also like about BTS... They don't complain about it. They learn from it and move on. I think (might be wrong) BTS figured out you have to start by yourself. I always feel sad when people can only see what color you are but, don't see how beautiful someone is. To me each person is part of a puzzle and no one can't be missed. Sorry, again for this long reaction. Also if my english isn't good or if I offended some one. That's not my intention.
Guys, we've been recommending you a playlist from bts_gadaursan for a long time but instead you've watched some long exaggerated video. The playlist literally has 10-minutes long video about each member and it shows interesting moments from interviews, it is well-made. It is good and informative and definitely better than this one
Thanks, Barbara. This was a spur of the moment reaction. We have that playlist on our list and have had it there for when we are ready for it. Sometimes, new videos come up and reacting to it before anyone else can help add value, either to ourselves and our channel or to the greater discussion that many on this channel disagree with that video (if you read the comments on her video, most agree with her). Also, as an example, we reacted to the Asian Theory video before anyone else did and that seems to have worked out well. Also, our first BTS reaction was on October 22nd, so not that long ago. If a video needs to be ousted, then I would argue the best way to do that is to create a reaction video to it, have a discussion about the video, address misconceptions, and then everyone heads over there to her channel and makes it known. -Chalfant
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor I totally understand you and I like how you are discussing everything you watch and that's why I like your channel. The thing is they are real people and they are so complicated and have many different sides as any human being. But people keep forgetting about it while they are creating these introductions. There are so many videos spreading misinformation and portraying members as they are some kind of fictional characters
All those things about Namjoon are true. He is a great leader but i also i think this video could've been done better. It's the first time i was watching it so... I think some things were more generalized (when it comes to South Korea and their ppl). Still i enjoyed your reaction guys, as always 💜
I always encourage new ARMY to watch LA Hustles because that really had a great positive impact to BTS and to their mental toughness. Please react to that reality show
Hi Guy,I dont normally comments but I do watch all your reactions to BTS from Australia. You are right forget the negative comments you are nice, keep going.💜💜
The best source of infromation about BTS is BTS official meterial. I will always repeat that. There is handful of good fanmade videos. Most of them are wrong, biased or completely outdated.
I'm not very far but I need to say that they did NOT record their albums in a garage. When they were in america filming american hussle life, they used a garage to continue recording their upcoming album but they had a proper studio back in Korea.
Watch American Hustle Life and judge for yourself if they were mistreated by their mentors. I feel they learned Hip Hop and R&B in real life verse just watching rappers in the media. They did have challenges to over come and surpassed anything their mentors thought would happen. They are Legends now!!! Btw I'm almost 50 so how I viewed the show maybe different from younger fans now seeing it. I also loved the mv for LA version since it was my first time seeing BTS with persons of color in their videos or any K-POP video.
I think BTS learned a lot about stereotypes in their time in the United States. It's not that Koreans have a negative image of Black people, but they only know what is portrayed in media and music. I think the narrator is referring to that. Very poor choice of words indeed.
Instead of taking the non Korean narrator's interpretation of BTS's attitudes towards other races, people should look at BTS's own actions/words. From Time Magazine's recent interview: And in June, BTS became a symbol of youth activism worldwide after they donated $1 million to the Black Lives Matter movement amid major protests in the U.S. (They have a long track record of supporting initiatives like UNICEF and school programs.) BTS says now it was simply in support of human rights. “That was not politics. It was related to racism,” Jin says. “We believe everyone deserves to be respected. That’s why we made that decision.”
You want to know RM more? Just listen to his mixtape, “Mono”. Man poured his heart, his thoughts and his entire soul into every single line he wrote. Please react to more of their MUSIC, especially their older songs and mixtapes, than watching these videos since most of them are filled with misinformation. Trust me, you can learn a lot about them if you just listen and pay attention to their music. These videos should just be fillers and not take up the bigger chunk of the content you put out there. Just some constructive criticism.. love you guys! Keep going 💜✨
Rm’s IQ is 148 you should react to his song Joke and his song Daeng he is known for his genius wordplay and lyrics. Ddaeng he performs with Suga and Jhope the react to the explanation of the lyrics explained by a Korean. Someone can post the right link
The original video was good content wise but the narrative was not so good. And your reaction felt really genuine and your reactions are like watching my journey of becoming an army, so its always nice to watch.
36:41 RM wearing something that resembled the Nazis? Whoever made this combination of images took them completely out of context and worse, used a montage of a hater! This image is of the concept of a society as oppressive as governments such as facists and Nazis, which imposes values and prejudices. This concept is inspired by the group Seo Taiji & the boys. Group of an independent label and idols'"ancestors" . And it is said hard to say that, but Asia as a whole is misogenist, fatophobic, homophobic, racist and colorphobic. Not that issues like racism, fatophobia, colorism are routine topics. They do not exist in the minds of most ordinary Asian people. It was with the kpop boom that made the Koreans come across these issues and get re-educated because of the more direct contact between fans from all over the world! It is clear that idols who have lived outside the country and, in the West mainly (ex Australia, New Zealand, United States), have already been educated in this. The member who has been out of the country for the longest time in BTS was Jin and for just a month! RM studied for two weeks in New Zealand! Be careful not to fall into judging a culture and the people educated in it with the same concepts as your own! They are now having this debate that the West began to experience since the first struggle against slavery, the emancipation of women and universal suffrage. For them (inclusie women) being a feminist is an insult!
"He could have been an astronaut... Well, I don't know if he's too tall, but" 🤣🤣🤣 (7:26) Yes, I do believe the members of BTS see Yoongi's praise as very meaningful and sincere, because he never gives shallow compliments, he's not one to do it very often either, especially not directly _to_ the person. It _is_ pretty hard to think about non-explicit rappers, now that I think about it (especially in the early days, but even now). I'm under the impression that in English, or perhaps America particularly, _pervert_ has some pretty heavy connotations regarding paedophilia, while in other languages it's a broader term, meaning generally dirty-minded or always thinking only about sex and being driven by this over any logic or reason. I think the "black rapper" comment was completely out of place. I don't know if the narrator was expressing their own view or if they were implying that of some ARMYs (perhaps particularly K-ARMYs?). Either way it was said in a way that did nothing but disrespect others, either with the implication (some ARMYs) or with the direct comment (Black people). Maybe both. My personal opinion on American Hustle Life is... Conflicted. I think the concept of wanting to learn the roots of the kind of music you love and make, to make sure you respect it and understand it and its origin properly and can therefore use it as a medium of expression while staying true to its essence is great. But I don't think that the way the 'mentors' approached teaching them about it was right. Or that they had all the necessary tools and knowledge themselves to _be_ mentors. I think it was despicable what they sometimes did (or pretended to do) for the camera. But I still believe AHL made BTS grow as artist and people, by broadening their horizons. At this point in the video, and honestly I've been thinking it for a while now, I just have to point it out. It's not objective in the way the information is presented. Maybe what it says, regarding the data and what has happened _is_ correct, and it is a well-edited video, but the way the narrator is saying things is _not_ objective. I appreciate the effort that they clearly put into the video, but I wouldn't have said things the same way. Particularly subjective affirmations. The racist comment and how often they said things like "best in the industry" doesn't really sit right with me at all. I can hope it was a matter of true meaning being lost in translation, but I don't want to assume either way. This person is only human after all, and like everyone else, makes mistakes. The fact of the matter is that some of what was said, for whatever cause it may be, was wrong. I'm sorry you, and anyone else for that matter, had to hear that. Hopefully in the future this channel will keep the potential offensiveness of what they say in mind and grow beyond this way of thinking, or become more aware of the way that what they say can be interpreted, in case it was a translation or wording issue. Korea does have a high democratic index and they are some of the most polite people I've ever met, but they have _a lot_ of implicit and explicit bias against anything that's foreign. They are a highly conservative society that firmly believes in their own worth as human beings who can do good and choose good, I think.
Yea yoongi is very sweet, but he comes across as like the low-key, and pretty savage member. So, when he gives out compliments, the members embrace them
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor you should have just leave it there. It’s a glimpse of fresh air and funny. RM is the best looking president to me and I’m not really into the narration of the video. You guys are great....keep going!
I am sorry to hear that "from a black rapper" expression. The narrator answered to a question raised regarding this expression at her original clip. She seemed to use "black" because she thought hiphop is a genre originated from black people. She wanted to tell the
The nazi uniform thing, as I recall, was a cap with a swastika. Probably means something different in Asia. Jimin was also criticized for wearing a t shirt with an atomic bomb explosion - A sore point with Japan, who banned them from all talk shows & interviews that month. More recently, China tried to ban BTS and all BTS merchandise because RM lamented the American and korean death count during the Korean War. When you're a global group you get it from all sides.
Yes it does mean something else in Asia. The swastika is a religious symbol in many religions including Hinduism and Jainism. In Buddhism it represents Buddha's footprints and also the eternal cycle of life and rebirth. You can fit these symbols in many temple's all around Asia
This video gave me mixed emotions, The video we usually recommend is by xceleste, When I heard what she said, I was low key angry. Anyways, I love you two, please stay safe! 💜

please react to young stunners - asli hai they are a rapper duo from Pakistan. id be really happy if you could check them. BTW i just started a reaction marathon on BTS. YOU GUYS ARE SO COOL!!!
I was so excited for this reaction because I've never seen this particular video and thought that somebody finally has made some quality content on what RM had to go through as a leader of BTS and as an incredible, exceptionally well-rounded human being. But I was so disappointed, sorry, couldn't even finish it, the narrator threw me off, she seems like she doesn't take interested in what actually any of them stand for... Just disappointing and ruining the experience of getting to know RM. But I'm really greatful you guys pulled through and still made an attempt to understand who he is despite the weird and poorly conducted video. Hope you get to know all you want to know. Please remember that encountering rotten apples here and there is a very common thing among this huge sea of fan-generated content. Still, thank you for your time and energy, hope to see more great reactions from you, we'll be by your side through this journey, if you don't mind.Thank you for your hard work 💜💛
You guys are great! Remember that these are not professional who are making this video. This narrator is mostly assuming & sometimes ppl don’t understand how to use the correct words or definitions to situations. Please continue to be open minded about the group. 💜
Well this video was certainly weird and very cringe, kudos to you for watching it until the end ! I honestly continued watching your reaction for you guys... I suggest that you watch their official shows if you want to know better about the boys. All the clips in this cringy video come from these shows anyways: 1.Festa (which is a show they do each year on the anniversary of their debut) 2. The docu-series and movies : Burn the stage, bring the soul and break the silence.(which are documentaries they do during their world tours to show what truly happens behind the scenes) 3. American Hustle life, the show they talked about. For me I didn't like the first 2 episodes with Coolio, where the "mentors" were quite rude.(one of them even got kicked out of the show) but the rest of the show was okay and fun to watch for me. 4. Run BTS (a very funny variety show that is still continued today where they do many different activities and are very much themselves) 5. The Bon voyage series (where they travel around the world and discover different countries. There are 4 seasons, in each season they go to a different country) They have other stuff but these are the major ones that every ARMY has watched. I know it's a lot but don't feel obliged to watch/react to them. I just wanted to let you know, so that you can avoid watching these kind of offensive content ^^ Lastly, I love your videos and have a nice day sirs! (I apologize for any mistake, as English isn't my native language.).
Why Koreans may have racism towards people of color this narrator is not Korean. I think she is Filipino. I told u there were videos done by Asian Boss where they interview black people all over the world and why they decided to move to Asia.
Sorry about what the narrator said. She should’ve not said that, the way she worded it was very offensive. I felt it and i felt really bad. I hope you’re alright guys. I tried to go at her channel but she went private. I really didn’t like her video. She even excluded Taehyung in the dance line. Btw, i love your channel. And thank you for always reacting to BTS💜
The original video has less than 1,000 views. Maybe try to watch more popular videos that have actually been recommended to you, those seem to be of better quality, usually.
👇🏾 COMMENT BELOW 👇🏾
i honestly don’t know why that part was necessary to add in the video. i was very offended and hurt. and yeah, korea is pretty racist :(
I haven't finished the video, and I haven't seen the original so I don't (yet) know the context this was said in but, generally speaking, yes, Korea is known for being a very (although often unintentionally) racist country.
Link fixed!
Thanks, Elena! That makes total sense and probably one of many explanations as to why people blessed with serious faces are viewed as savage, etc.
Thank you N Z!
Oh will have to check out don’t let them go on tour.
Definitely! 3-hour documentary on each. GO!

... Just saying 😂
It's only about 10 minutes per member
the narrator's not even korean. idk why she's saying some of the things she's saying. very weird assumptions and speculations were thrown in here
I was thinking that too, but then she said "In our culture". I'm thinking she might be Korean, but raised in a country outside of SK, which is why her accent is not an SK accent. Or she's trying to present that way which is even shadier and I don't put past. Who knows! Glad I wasn't the only one that thought that. 💜
@@tajbabydoll
she's actually Filipino American
Her channel's in the United States, and her channel is "Asian entertainment and culture".
@@tajbabydoll
oh, i'm not classifying anything. it's just pointing out how ridiculous the term "asian" is when describing someone's culture or background- there literally are 50 countries with different cultures and with various ethnicities in Asia, but somehow they're all amalgamated into ONE word. it's nonsense.
I don’t think the narrator is a native English speaker. Her choice of words in some parts of the video is offensive. A lot of the stuff in the video also pertain to her opinions/speculations. She’s speaks for herself. Not all Asians.
Where did you guys find this video? It’s kinda cringe. The narrator is sketchy.

yes. cringe as hell. and suspicious.
“RM Documentary”
“Namjoon deserves better” are normal described videos.
"J-Hope looks somber"
ARMY giggles. J-Hope usually looks like that after a few drinks.
Soon as he said it I laughed and said to myself "that's a alcohol drinking Hope" 😂😂
It wasn't a cultural shock for BTS or most Koreans AT ALL. the country's been exposed to hiphop since the 1990s
the narrator isn't even korean so idk why she makes it seem like its her obligation to speak for all koreans. literally no koreans took offense to "black" mentors. everyone knows hiphop came from america with urban roots.
@@iduli02 exactly what I meant.
@@iduli02
uh, no.
@@lahellight4337
Yups I think the Korean accepted AHL different but now we can see at their reality show like JK treated at one of K-reality show.. same as AHL did to them....
But some of youth global movement not want to to do that because they think we belong to the earth and earth need us as human not as a nation...
some of the words they chose were???? weird and kind of offensive😐

Yea, I thought the same thing. They could have worded it differently.
I thought the same, I hope it’s just a misunderstanding
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor Nope, this is a really bad video. I don’t understand how it’s become so popular. 😭
“j-hope looks sunburned.”
J-hope’s drunk. Lol!!!!
Hahahaha we cut our discussion!
Ikr lmao I was also like "No, he's drunk" 🤣
Maybe after living there for a year.
i really find it fascinating how he humble and he is not selfish he always engorged the members and show the fans the great side of the other members
Coolio and his "mentors" were very disrespectful but Warren G thankfully was so much better, actually providing real help like teaching jin and jhope to beatbox. It was all cringe but this narrator words are super sketch
And Tony was so sweet
@@anjaliamin8819 Yes Tony was great and will forever love him for nicknaming Jimin ChimChim
I know this is RM but your comment, “J-Hope look sunburned.” Nope, J-Hope can’t drink without turning red. And, he didn’t drink that much.
Yeah, wasn't he still on his first beer with a Crazy Straw? lol
Yeah, from what I've been told, a lot of Asian's have a condition in which they turn red when drinking alcohol. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
@@jjaybluejay2505 You're totally right. Something like 1/3 of Asians can't break down alcohol properly and develop a flush because of the buildup of whatever it is in alcohol that gives you hangovers. It's much rarer in other races.
I read an article about it years ago but forgot all the technical words! hehe
Lol Ah, the Asian Glow. The main reason I don't drink.
who the hell recommended this vid for you guys?...
I think you should listen to rapper's mixtapes: RM's "Mono", Suga's "Agust D" and "D-2" and Hobi's "Hope World". They will explain their stories themselves
U should have included “RM” as well which was in 2015
@@RM-of2oz i don't how i forgot to write about his first mixtape🤦♀️
@@RM-of2oz yes.... Actually RM first mixtape is underrated but masterpiece. Most army dont know about 'RM' mixtape. Only RM stan and OT7 know about this.

I am so proud of RM
Kim Namjoon: our president
Also, Jin is 28 according to our age! I think 29 by Korean age
I don't want her to experience things like that anymore, you grow well and I can't explain in words how much effect you have on my life,
V said in an interview that Joon doesn't have to be the leader like he is.
It's not at related to race and/or hiphop
agree!
That same guy that walked put on Jin and Suga also hit Jin with a... stuffed animal? Rubber chicken? When he got upset with them 😠.
@@mickeygirlf07 yesssss! So insensitive
But our Jin proved he's king of class by keeping his cool and politely putting the guy in his place.
The original video was kinda weird....
Videos that are like that a for instance:
Bts contribution to music
Bts from nobodies to legends(whole series)
Bts members habits
This is bts
Introduction to bts
and so on

Someone suggested it in a comment if I’m not mistaken
SALUTE to our PRESIDENT!
Nothing but respect and admiration to the greatest leader. And BTS and ARMY are so blessed to have Kim Namjoon. 🐨💜
They make sense to me, Bigking! Thank you for your insightful comment.
I liked this video but totally agree with this comment. Watch Run, Bangtan Bombs, or Rookie Kings to see their personalities both younger and older versions.

The original video was a bit weird, some of the narrator´s comments were ... uhm.. yeah. But I really like your videos guys, keep going!!!
Glad you got past that "black rapper" part. Kudos to you guys.
Edit: As I remember it, RM was called a pervert for watching porn. Strict, conservative society.
Wow, i've never seen this video before, gonna watch it with you😊 does anyone know is there a video about each member?

@@BrothersFromAnotherColor also the narrator is not korean...i just want you to know this was not necessarily a "korean" perspective.

We all have emotions; happy, sad, anger etc
And if I look father then my nose is long I can clearly see that at the moment from this COVID19 it doesn't matter what color you are...
Video author included unnecessary things and video is exaggerated.
To be honest I want to say that Namjoon does not support homosexuality. People just explain this thing
Our president 💜💜
I'm not very far but I need to say that they did NOT record their albums in a garage. When they were in america filming american hussle life, they used a garage to continue recording their upcoming album but they had a proper studio back in Korea.
So, the “Dark & Wild” Album was recorded in a Garage and that’s it?
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor yes! ^0^ at least a portion of it since they were only in america for two weeks
I recommend you guys watch american hustle life for yourselves if you have the chance, and draw your own conclusions.
I think BTS learned a lot about stereotypes in their time in the United States. It's not that Koreans have a negative image of Black people, but they only know what is portrayed in media and music. I think the narrator is referring to that. Very poor choice of words indeed.
This is changing as Korea continues to globalize and young people are exposed to other cultures both online and in person
This video made me cry a little bit. 😢
Instead of taking the non Korean narrator's interpretation of BTS's attitudes towards other races, people should look at BTS's own actions/words. From Time Magazine's recent interview:
And in June, BTS became a symbol of youth activism worldwide after they donated $1 million to the Black Lives Matter movement amid major protests in the U.S.
Love u guys but I couldn't finish this as the video you're reacting to seems a bit off. And for the record RM is my bias.
Then just watch our discussion at the end!
Well, I don't know if he's too tall, but" 🤣🤣🤣 (7:26)
Yes, I do believe the members of BTS see Yoongi's praise as very meaningful and sincere, because he never gives shallow compliments, he's not one to do it very often either, especially not directly _to_ the person.
So, when he gives out compliments, the members embrace them
Thank you for share the opijion and ooints of understanding. I almost agree to all you said above, @Sofia with f !
Very good and well explained comments.

I think BTS actually like the American Hustle Life series.. they learn so much from Coolio etc.. and I think Coolio actually nice to them..
“JHope looked sunburned”
JHope literally only had 2 sips of beer 🍺 and he was drunk and zoned out....
Hahaha we deleted our discussion about it!
@@BrothersFromAnotherColor you should have just leave it there. It’s a glimpse of fresh air and funny. RM is the best looking president to me and I’m not really into the narration of the video. You guys are great....keep going!

Thanks, Honeey!
Also the original poster replied on their video as I asked it go check it out

please react to young stunners - asli hai they are a rapper duo from Pakistan. id be really happy if you could check them. BTW i just started a reaction marathon on BTS. YOU GUYS ARE SO COOL!!!
Hello there. I appreciate your reaction. I didn’t care for the video you reacted to, but that is no shade on you guys. “You are nice, keep going!” 💜
Please react to bts festa 2020
I'll be honest, I thought I was in for a totally different reaction. I thought this was gonna be xCeleste's BTS Hardships video.
😅
Well this video was certainly weird and very cringe, kudos to you for watching it until the end ! I honestly continued watching your reaction for you guys...
I suggest that you watch their official shows if you want to know better about the boys. All the clips in this cringy video come from these shows anyways:
1.Festa (which is a show they do each year on the anniversary of their debut)
2. The docu-series and movies : Burn the stage, bring the soul and break the silence.(which are documentaries they do during their world tours to show what truly happens behind the scenes)
3. American Hustle life, the show they talked about. For me I didn't like the first 2 episodes with Coolio, where the "mentors" were quite rude.(one of them even got kicked out of the show) but the rest of the show was okay and fun to watch for me.
4. Run BTS (a very funny variety show that is still continued today where they do many different activities and are very much themselves)
5. The Bon voyage series (where they travel around the world and discover different countries. There are 4 seasons, in each season they go to a different country)
They have other stuff but these are the major ones that every ARMY has watched. I know it's a lot but don't feel obliged to watch/react to them. I just wanted to let you know, so that you can avoid watching these kind of offensive content ^^
Lastly, I love your videos and have a nice day sirs!
I loved that you want to know more about BTS, I don't think this person is a right choice to watch.
I still love your guys reaction though.💜👌
The original video has less than 1,000 views. Maybe try to watch more popular videos that have actually been recommended to you, those seem to be of better quality, usually.
