Also referring when to up and downshift, your cars manual has the shift points in there if you read it. At least for the g37 it does 💯 just DONT DOWNSHIFT INTO FIRST
Why do people need a tutorial on this ? All you do is press down on the throttle and the car does everything for you. Gets boring after 5 months but driving a real manual car will never get old
You have to open it up if your know what your doing semi wise u have to get the perfect throttle sound and when is ready to shift short shifting you stress the transmission
in manual mode do i need to take my foot off the gas when upshifting ? like an actual manual or will the transmission switch automatically cause its well an auto
I know this is hella late but my g37 started doing this - I went to floor it on the highway playing with this bmw and it went up to 7 rpm and then lost traction because it’s wet, then it rev limited, did that noise like it wasn’t shifting I guess because it didn’t grab traction and just rev limited. So I let off the gas and it started to misfire as I went to give it some gas again. Now I can’t go over 3,000rpm without it downshifting or misfiring, can’t tell which it is. Any clue what this is?
People that try doing this beware of having to replace your transmission after some time of doing this, its a automatic for a reason theres no reason for you to force your transmission, if you wanna go manual then get a manual transmission vehicle
False. That's true for regular automatics....but not these newer ones with manuals....they are actually built for manual shifting. I've owned some of these cars and never drove them in regular auto mode for 10s of 1000s of miles....no problems whatsoever.
I’ve owned my 04 g35 for 8 years and had no problems with it absolutely false manuel and automatic transmissions in these cars are extremely good just all depends on how you treat your car that’s how long it’ll last
@AlexGarcia-rt4tc Hey i have a question I just got a g35 2004 ..I never put in Manuel mode or never drove it in Manuel mode . ..when I put it in Manuel mode do I gotta put my foot off the gas when I switch gears ? Or is it good shifting while my foot on the gas still ??

Are you supposed to let off the gas when shifting or can you just power shift through the gears?
Like will it damage the transmission if I power shift or will the computer prevent damage
I let off the gas when i downshift.
How you make yo engine sound like that
I did a muffler delete and added a vibrant resonator.
How tall are you ? If you don’t mind the question. I ask because pov is pretty close to the sun blocker.

It has a sequential mode for a reason. The transmission is built for if you wanted to control the gears yourself
