    Embrace the noise! Let go of that fear of having noisy photos and when you do, you’re going to enjoy photography a little more! 🙂🫰 hope this helps!

      People forget that it's like 1 stop and a bit better noise performance on full frame. Not a big deal. Just run it through an AI denoiser if you're worried.

    • @CianMcsweeney
      @CianMcsweeney 10 месяцев назад

      @@bluecollar8525exactly, people act like full frame is a massive leap in quality, if they're that worried about noise, they should be shooting medium format. Also, there's something about x-trans noise that looks better and more natural than that from Bayer sensors, I never hesitate to push my Fuji's up to 6400, but my Ricoh GR at the same iso appears way noisier

      I personally like the “noise” produced by fujifilm cameras. Looks like grain to me and I like a little grain in my pictures.

      Tongue. Your talk here is great. I love it. Embrace the noise and if you are a hater or dementer shut the....... Up.
      Your work is great and I like how you show what you are doing to get the results. Take the praise.
      Just a learner with the xt1 and hiring different lenses to see what I like to shoot and surprised at the different and often good results.

    I turn off all noise reduction in all of my cameras. I find it hard to understand the criticisms of noise when people are pixel peeping. I intentionally add grain to my photos in post (good light or bad) as I find it gives texture to the final image. The latest apsc sensors are incredibly clean at low light. I find with the Fuji when noise does start to show it’s very fine and random in pattern. It prints really really well like a slower speed film asa 200 or 400. Your work is outstanding by the way. Thank you for all of your hard work and really putting yourself out there. It’s inspiring.

  • @ricktaylor7042

    Really nice shots. Many of them look like movie stills, and I love the vibe. My first Fujifilm camera was the XE1. I bought it used for, I believe, $185 (US). I just wanted to see what it could do, so I shot in jpg, and made several at ISO 12,800. They were noisy, and I would never do that for certain kinds of shoots, but I didn’t get a single comment from people about the noise- not even from the girl in the photos. If you need totally clean images, you can worry about noise, but for artistic shots and portraits that convey emotion, if people are only noticing things like noise, the other aspects of the photos are definitely lacking.

    Hey man, fresh new buyer of X-S10 here, which I bought also because of your feedback on this camera. Which white balance did you apply during this shooting? Since I am a newbie, I still don't know what WB to choose, I am trying to shoot on manual as much as possible, but WB is something I tend to leave on auto. Thanks in advance for your feedback, looking forward to your next videos and IG photos!

    Portraits of models posing for you when you ask them how to pose and “Hold”, yes it is ok and I agree 100% with you. But for the some street shooters out there, they may find some difficult if they think they could go out in the dark shooting “street portraits” of “strangers” not really “posing” for them… just an advice… many ppl don’t realize how RUclipsrs plan, buildup and prep the whole shooting experience for a educational video like this one. in a real life experience (specially for street shooter) this could bring a lot of others variables… great video, and fyi I LOVE MY XS10 as well!

    Nice video ! And nice images too ! I don’t quite agree with the view that you expressed at the start - which is kind of like saying- “if you can’t do this better yourself then you can’t critique “ - I hear this a lot but to me it’s a bit like saying you can’t critique food at a restaurant unless you’re a chef yourself- in contrast I believe you can provide critique on an image (or food ) even if you don’t shoot that style yourself (or cook yourself), but you’re entitled to your opinion of course

    • @Iamtongue
      @Iamtongue  Год назад

      I also followed it up by.. if there’s a general consensus who is giving you the same criticism than you should take that criticism into criticism... Or listen to someone with that you respect. Obviously this is a bit more nuanced it’s not so black and white.. but ya do you.

      The light tube that I use is called the Weeylite K21... There's a link to it in the description if you want more info on it.

    Hey thank you for this great motivation! I just switched from Canon to Fuji and it was a big decision for me to "downgrade" from full frame to an aps sensor. I am a weddingphotographer and everyone was like "nooo don't do it"! I really like my XT-5 but I had some issues when using it in low light situations. Maybe you can help me out. It wasn't even night just normal sunset and I wanted to have some group pictures. But the faces looked so horrible. I can't even describe it. The white in the eyes were red and the face looked deformed. Did somebody experience it and knows what to to do?

      Could be the noise reduction, it could be the skin smoothing effect is turned on. I honestly don’t know.

      @@induction7895 given that "full frame" is 35mm equivalent, to bring up the "use a pro setup" argument (which almost certainly isn't the issue in the OP's case) has to begin at medium format.

      Check all your settings - sounds like it's potentially a film simulation or even ISO issue (regarding the skin tone problems described).

Maybe they were assholes with the sole intent to judge your work but maybe they just wantet to tell you incase you didnt notice. I dont like the mentality "if you cant do better than me you have no right to critisice me" with that logic no one would be allowed to criticize or judge anyone that works as a Pro.
