Early Retirement Wanderlust use the Snow Peak fire pit, they rate it highly. We left for Tomich in the Scottish Highlands on the Friday morning of storm Babett. Amazingly we didn’t have any weather or travel issues at all. We’ve had a couple of absolutely glorious days and haven’t had any rain all week. One morning was -3 with thick frost by mid morning was 8.5 with fabulous blue sky and sun. Headed home today, back in Scotland again in 2 weeks. Jack’s doing brilliantly 😊
Sounds like you were really lucky! Unfortunately it’s impossible to time it perfectly when you’ve booked time off work 🙁 Luckily, our backup plan worked out perfectly 😁
Love the lakes, I used to play fuel roulette with my old Passat, I know that after 0 miles remaining I still had around 15, it I've got a Merc now and the remaining fuel ⛽ miles is a lying sod so I don't play so daring.. thanks for showing more of the lakes!
Another great video, Bays Brown is always a good last minute stop over but as you say keep away from school hols etc, great video photography as per usual 👍
Cheers Paul! Yeh this site can get very busy in peak season, for good reason but, feels pretty special out of season as it felt like we had it to ourselves 🤩
You holding out for a Peroni sponsorship? 😆 Ruth was proper chuffed at her personalised shout out. She nearly spilt her tea all over the bedding! Great vlog, as usual guys. However, I don't think I'll risk my van over that bridge. We're also gonna take you up on the Hello Fresh deal though.
Peroni wouldn’t pay us when we do it for free 😄😄 Oooooo good job there wasn’t a spillage on the show pillows which you’re not allowed to use! You pair of legends, you’ll have to let us know which meals you recommend 👌🏼
Awesome and stayed there in our camper, Langdales are great we walked up Crinkle craggs when we stayed. Haha you will have to try the Yorkshire pudding ale although I’ve never tried it, wishing you good travels ahead and Jack is looking well, Robbo.
Those views are stunning, Alan, looks like you and Sarah enjoyed yourselves, and the food. Not been to Langdale, always thought it got super busy being part of The Lakes, may have to venture that way at some time. Was due to travel to Scotland myself but had to abort due to the weather, so headed off to Portmeirion as a last-minute trip.Scotland in 2024 now.
It’s amazing Paul, it does get busy in summer but slightly out of season, it’s only the really popular walking routes which get busy. There’s a national trust site open all year too. We’re hoping to be up in Scotland for new year, obviously, weather dependent 😄 Cheers mate 👍🏼
Thanks very much 🙏🏼 It’s not cheap, at £220 but if it’s something you’ll use often, it’s worth it as it’ll last years with it being a heavy gauge stainless steel 👍🏼
Ha great vlog. Was just laughing to myself as we got hello fresh for the first time in ages this week....now as you know Paul is the cook in our family and im pretty sh*t. However even i can follow some recipes. Had onion bhaji burgers today and honestly they were palatable 😂
Fire pit looks spot on! Beautiful part of the Lakes! Nice one! Great blog, thank you.
It’s really handy, with us not having a lot of space so I can see it being used a lot.
Really comes into its own in next week’s video 😉

One of the funniest Hello Fresh ads yet , just brilliant 👍🤣
We couldn’t do a serious ad if we tried 😄
You guys are quality! I really enjoy the quality Sunday night TV. Much better than the crap put on by the BBC. Keep up the good work.
Being better than the BBC is no compliment 😄😄😄
But, thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it 👌🏼

😄😄 I used to do the same in an old golf but the risk is much higher in a fully loaded van, especially when there are hills to climb!
Cheers 👍🏼

Another one for the list! List will soon be as long as the road ‘up north’😊
Fabulous, thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks for the ring doorbell..,our bailey has just gone ape😂
😄😄😄 sorry!
Great campsite. Can’t beat the Lakes for a quick getaway. Folding fire pits are definitely ideal for our small vans. Nice chilled trip 👌🏻
Cheers Sue.
The fire pit is a god send, especially when you have lots more gear in the van 😁
Had some fun on bays brown can you remember davy the old farmer before Bruce got it back
Not sure on specific owners to be honest.
We probably started camping here around 12 years ago 👍🏼
Beautiful scenery. Congrats on the sponsorship!!
Thanks a lot Karen 🙏🏼
Langdale is amazing, in all seasons 😍
Lovely video as always ❤️
Cant beat the lakes for the views 😍
We were really lucky with the recent weather it kind of mostly missed us xx
You’re not wrong! Scotland was hit really bad, gutted really as we needed our highlands fix but we certainly had an amazing backup plan 🤩
Love the velvetisers. We bought one last year. You need to put the lid on though! 😂
What does the lid do? Other than prevent spillage?
We quite like watching it, it’s hypnotic 😄😵💫
HELLO Moochers, fantastic…love the fire pit 👏👏👏
We do some cooking over the fire pit next week, it’s pretty bloody special too 😍
Great vid as always guys, and congrats on the sponsorship..🎉
Thanks Michael 🙏🏼

A dash of creme de menthe in the hot chocolate is perfect
Ooooo that sounds like a good idea!
Stunning place. Is it my imagination or is Jack calming down a bit?🤔👍
It’s just clever editing 😄
Trust me, nobody wants to see Jack at his worst!
Overall, he is very settled though 😊
Cracking vid👍👍 as per usual,,
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 🤩
Great video guys as ever!! do you mind me asking how much for that fire pit was?
Thanks very much 🙏🏼

Bugger. Somewhere else to visit 🤦🏻♂. Me thinks you’d be better sponsored by Tesco the eh 🍻
You won’t be disappointed with this location!!
😄😄 don’t worry, the funky beer I’ve just bought is from Sainsbury’s
