Also, the Sonic 1/2 Genesis drums are MUCH better with Lava Reef's music.
Lava Reef, Flying Battery, and Hydropolis. That's all you'll ever need, plus the Sky Sanctuary and Robotnik's theme if we're counting those.

What have you done?! Now I can't play Sonic 3&K without your versions of tracks! This is just criminally good! I would prefer the updated tracks in Sonic Mania to use this style. Your versions have so much epicness and drive, which in my opinion Mania lacks.

For Sonic 3, I prefer all of Marble Garden, Launch Base Act 1, all the boss themes, and all of the 2p stages. For S&K, I like Sandopolis Act 1, Lava Reef Act 1, Sky Sanctuary, all of Death Egg, and Doomsday.

Wow... I actually like this remix more than the original version, mainly because its stronger drums. Up until the point at 4:03 it sounds like it really would be straight from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

@BuzzsawtheHedgehog Actually, I am a "Sonic fanboy" and I totally agree. Ice Cap has cool music, but I don't think it's the best the game had to offer. I personally prefer several S3&K BGMs to it, including (but not limited to) Chrome Gadget, Endless Mine, LRZ, HPZ, HCZ 2, MGZ 1&2, Boss, S&K Mini-Boss.
My favourite theme is easily the Sonic 3 credits theme. Does that count?

For me, I just don't understand why IceCap is everyone's favorite theme in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I DO like it, but I've heard better themes. I just think it sounds a little repetitive. And I know, Sonic fanboys are going to shoot their hate mail at me for what I said, but we all have opinions.

But real talk, the difference between the two is that the instruments in 2 are a bit different, especially because the guy who did the music for 1&2 didn't do it for 3/S&K. c:
