What is this game?
Silent Hill 2:
"Silent Hill 2 is the second installment in the Silent Hill survival horror series and the first game of the series to be released for Sony PlayStation 2. The game was developed by Team Silent and published by Konami. It launched in North America on September 24, 2001.
A more definitive version of the game, Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, was re-released with new features on the PlayStation 2 as a Greatest Hits title and ported to the Xbox and PC. It is known as Silent Hill 2: Saigo no Uta ("The Final Song") in Japan, and in Europe, Silent Hill 2: Inner Fears on Xbox and Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut on PC and PS2. It features an additional UFO ending, a new scenario called Born from a Wish, better graphics and lighting effects, and exclusive to the PC version, the ability to save anywhere, swap weapons without opening the menu, and a movie gallery.
It was later re-released in high-definition resolution with optional new voices, along with Silent Hill 3, for the Silent Hill HD Collection on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3." - Silent Hill wiki

A quick note: I know Pyramid Head is James' manifestation and most people like to think he should only belong in SH2 - that is perfectly fine and I believe the same.
I wanted to tell the stories behind his appearances and history in Silent Hill. This is not an analysis, this is a story. I hope you enjoy 😁
see I never followed that. I always figured once a monster manifested in SH, it would manifest again, and it always seems to surround a character filled with guilt and grief.
Otherwise the nurses and the dogs and other monsters wouldn't repeat since a lot of them were manifestations surrounding Alessa, they just manifest differently each time.
I didn't bother when he popped out in homecoming cause he seemed more like a random npc walking around. I thought it was cool to see him again
@@goodxd701 It seems that Pyramid Head in Homecoming is not after Alex (player character) but his father. His first appearance tells that as it clearly notices Alex, observes him and deems him unimportant.
@@goodxd701 given that the one who didn't fulfill the end of his deal was Alex's father, it wouldn't make sense for Pyramid Head to go after Alex
@@lifeisbeautiful83 the reason on why there are "some" repeated enemies is because all of our main characters not accounting for silent hill 4 have been in a hospital but the nurses in silent hill 1 are very different from silent hill 2 as in 1 they are puppet nurses as there is a parasite in them controlling them while in 2 the nurses are bubbleheads and wear sexy clothing representing James sexual frustration. Each enemy are a specific representation of James guilt in silent hill 2
The idea that the manifestations, once created, remain in Silent Hill explains a lot of blaringly offensive plotholes (such as Pyramid Head reappearing) in a very elegant way. It even explains why there are multiple executioners in SH2 as it reaches its climax. Thanks, this fixed a lot of lore problems for me.
Pyramid Head kills himself at the end of the SH2, so it still doesn't make sense. Not that it matters either way because trash like Homecoming isn't canon
I assumed once a monster was created, the town would keep the psychic blueprint when that role was needed again. In this case he's an executioner/judge so that's what gets manifested.
@@no.402 It does work if you consider Homecoming a prequel since Travis is with Alex in the intro. PH is the only monster in Silent Hill who has a representation in paintings, no other monster has that in Silent hill, i believe he was there since the beginning.
The reason we see two Red Pyramid things at the end of Silent Hill 2, is each represents a sin of James. A new Pyramid Head is created because of the guilt James feels over Eddie.
I like how pyramid head was formed in silent hill because of James but others subconscious change his appearance, it's a fun little detail
The monsters staying in silent hill after the protagonist leaves is a pretty cool idea. Every pennance leaves behind a monster who serves out more justice, pennance etc. But at some point it'd get oretty crowded XD
Well, we also know they sometimes attack each other, particularly if they appear human (i.e. Maria) . They might eliminate each other to some degree.
@@corvusdove874 that's such a weird but interesting concept! I'd love to see that in some large capacity
So you’d want to visit earlier on rather than later
In a way Silent Hill is like some classic concepts of Hell where Hell will be different everyone, based on their sins committed in life. However if someone has a particularly abhorrent manifestation, Satan will take that nightmarish fiend and use it to torture other sinners, even if said monster isn’t directly relevant to future sinners.
Like cesspool of diseases all combined together to wreck future havocs
I think pyramid head is the main manifestation of guilt and feeling like you need to be punished like yes it started with James. He was able to become the standard manifestation of those emotions like the nurses are always there even if there isn't technical hospital related trauma
Welp.. Nurses are connected to James lust, just like other monsters. They are representing his sins, spitters are kinda representation of his wife being sick (coughing) and screaming at him, scolding him and being toxic - hence the creature spit toxic fluid. Read more about creation of the monsters in SH2.
@@lxdead5585 um I have buddy
Honestly the fact that all the monsters stay behind makes total sense. Even if the guilty are redeemed, their actions will always have consequences.
Did anyone else notice that the great knife Pyramid Head uses in Silent Hill 2 is modeled to look like a massive scale-up of a kitchen knife and in Homecoming it's made to look like a scaled-up combat knife? I never noticed that until now!
Actually, if you look closely at Pyramid Heads knife in 2, it's one half of a pair of giant scissors
@@Dahliblack I actually never caught that, but that's a really awesome detail and I'm very glad that you were observant enough to catch that. Thanks for sharing this with me and I hope you're doing well :D
@@loneronin6813 Well back in 2001 when I had this game. Getting to the part when you find the knife, I noticed it looked like a giant version of the same kind of scissors we had in the kitchen at home. I recognised the scissor hole where they connect together and the shape looked the same.
I never noticed the connection with the combat knife in Homecoming though. That's a cool detail I missed. Thanks for noticing that, and I hope your doing well too 😊
@@Dahliblack Cool :D and thanks again, I hope all is well :) I actually only just noticed the combat knife thing at the time of seeing this video to be perfectly honest lol
@@Dahliblack combat knife could be linked to Alex's "military experience".
Mary has only been dead a few hours when the game begins. Ito says her body is literally hidden in his car.
I knew PH was a manifestation of James' negative emotions. It didn't occur to me it could be an already existing being that simply latched onto James and took a familiar form. Neat take! 👍
All of the monsters are manifestation of his guilt and sins, lust etc.
I think Pyramid Head is some kind of law enforcer. It can be hostile or friendly regarding circumstances. I know movies are separate continuity, but it appears to punish cultists of Silent Hill and protects Heather.
There's another point: when James asks Laura how old She was, she said She turned eight like one week ago (or month, don't Remember) So he never Lost her 3 years ago, he killed her recently that's why he arrived to Silent hill but he forgot what he did
I wonder if with the pact, the Shepards could have used an adopted child as the sacrifice or if it strictly had to be someone related to them. We know that there is an orphanage around Silent Hill, so could they have taken a child from there and still fulfilled their part? I know that idea is dark, but sacrificing any child is… I also have always wondered about what Alex was wearing at the start of the game and throughout. Is there something more that happened between his intake and when we start? It weird to me that he’d be in a mental hospital with those clothes and something like a flashlight. Because he’s been brainwashed and is deluded, a lot of what he sees may not be the truth… But would that really be possible to extend to his clothing? His father says something about it I think before he dies so I don’t think that’s possible… 🤔
Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate it
Alex was given military items; like dog tags, a jacket (and presumably some tools too!) from his dad as part of his mental hospital 'brainwashing'. These belonged to his father and it's revealed to even have his name on it, when he's on the cross.
Good idea about the adopted child - But I think the prophecy is strict to the bloodline. If it wasn't, I'm sure they would have done anything to stop the curse.
This actually makes sense on why he exists in other games! Well done!
03:15 Ito said on Twitter this was not intended to be "sexual"
What if Pyramid Head is real? What if he isn't a manifistation of James' mind but rather exists as the de facto judge, jury and executionar of Silent Hill? That way he could alter his behavior depending on the people he has been sent to judge. And maybe he isn't even a monster but an entity linked to Silent Hill, meaning he can clone his physical form and alter his appearance?
I never knew about the Jack/Jillian/Sara story so I'm really glad I came across this video
It makes sense if Pyramid Head is an aspect of Valtiel. Thus, it was Valtiel guiding James throughout Silent Hill 2.
Yeah I think a lot of Pyramid Head's backstory fully makes sense with how he treats James. I'm glad you highlighted that! :)
I think I can is one reason why Pyramid Head can reappear again and again in Silent Hill without James. Remember the Silent Hill 2 painting, "Misty Day: Day of Judgement"?
It shows Pyramid Head's existence started way before James Sunderland would look at the painting for the first time. The town wanted to make Pyramid Head real, but needed someone who would connect themselves to Pyramid Head to bring him to existence. That someone is none other than James Sunderland. After Silent Hill 2, Pyramid Head is complete and would no longer need James to remain. I think many of us; including Masahiro Ito, must have forgotten that painting. That is just how I can justify Pyramid Head's continuing presence without James.
Edit: I fixed the spelling errors that I fidn't notice until now. LOL
I think you can make it work that PH is there even when James´ story is over. He is an overpowering entity and I can see that the town, now that the executioner is "born", will use him to further punish people who did especially horrfying things, and therefore "deserve" an especially intense punishment. It also makes sense then, that PH´s appearance changes slightly for whoever see´s him.
Another idea could also be, that James´ guilt was so big that PH is such an extrordinary creature, even in Silent Hill, that the town actually cannot control him and make him disappear. He is just too strong.
James didn't manifest Pyramid Head, and he didn't dream Maria up. Walter Sullivan saw the Red Devil years before this, and that entity was Pyramid Head, though it probably looked different to him. James didn't see Pyramid Head's picture in the Historical Society, he saw the hooded figures. That memory is what made the Red Devil look like Pyramid Head to James. As for Maria, she actually existed and died in Silent Hill. Her soul was reborn thanks to Mary's wish that James would move on. Mary's memories transferred to Maria to help her develop feelings for James.
Good insight
Somewhere along the line I picked up the idea that pyramid head had been a butcher in our world, but he was evil af and was turned into PH in the otherworld as some kind of punishment.
I have literally no idea where I got it from. Its interesting to see how wrong I was lol
Once a creature takes form I think that new entity most likely doesn't just disappear once the summoned person leaves or is punished.
I found your videos earlier today and they’re really well done! Good job. I really love SH lore… It and RE are definitely two of my absolute favorite series.
I love RE too, I'm sure there's room for some crossovers in my videos in future which will be cool. I'm really glad you're enjoying them!
Loving all the SH content!! Keep up the awesome work
Love your videos so much. The perfect way to end a work week
Your video making skill and documentary level of description and research is unreal. I'm so happy I found you finally. I never played SH as it was extremely scary for me as a kid but as a grown man. I feel sad I never experienced this game fully. I should play it again. The old ones are unreal. Like resident evil but with a much deeper story.
Great video once again
Thank you - I really appreciate the feedback 😁
I am loving your content dude, ive been watching your videos. You have earned a new subscriber
Great video keep up the good work
Good vid. Very well done.
Awesome video good Job
Thank you for making these ! I have always been interested in game lores . Especially horror games with cult elements in it, like SH . Ty for simplifying them coz I will be honest , most of the time when I am playing the game I am a little too distracted by getting chased and the puzzles to pay attention to the actual backstory . You are doing gods work :)
Excellent commentary. I never understood anything at the time, but you've put it very succinctly
Thank you so much for your feedback, that means a lot :D
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the game I played it still scares me to this day. 🤗💞🤗💞💞😉😉 You gain other subscriber.
I think pyramid head is another random boss monster that main character had to fight , every character in each silent hill sees his own monsters , James sees pyramid head as a executioner , Travis sees his mother , and etc , each character sees monster in their own way , so i would think its just another monster
I think in silent hill 1 game there is a Easter egg to do with some sort of keychain that looks like pyramid heads sword so I’m thinking he was supposed to be in the first game as boxhead or butcher but was scrapped and then changed for silent hill 2, I can’t remember where the sword keychain Easter egg is because i was just watching a video about secrets so I didn’t take note
Interesting video. I love this series.
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for the feedback :)
WOW!THANKSFORHE INFOE!
Another good video man, didnt know about any of these beyond SH2 so this was super interesting to see :)
Thanks man! I hope you're doing good. I really appreciate the feedback
Thanks for the detailed pyramid head. I never got into Silent Hill. Briefly see a glimpse of the movies. How I got into him was DBD. I recently started playing Silent Hill.
Didn’t even know about the game where they were looking for that ship that disappeared!!! Glad i found this video thanks for posting.
That's a pretty neat & acceptable connecting the dots.
Your videos on silent hill are fantastic. Keep em comin.
Neat video. I'm partial to the rebirth ending being the "true" one. It just makes sense when you take the nature of the town and its history into account.
Oh my gosh, I have found my people! There are dozens of us who consider Rebirth canon! Of course James would be seduced into resurrecting Mary! He's no different than the others who came before him. Look at how much "fuel" his psyche gave the Town! The Town wasn't just going to let him leave! Through him, so much more than just Mary will be Rebirthed!
(Sorry, I'm very passionate haha)
@@RedSpade37 We are now brothers, spiritually lol. But yeah, I totally agree.
I've always been a resi evil man but after finding this channel I'm really intrigued by SH......I hope we get them on classic for Ps5 🤞 great video.
It’s oddly fascinating that the most memorable figure in the series, was just a small piece of the lore, yet became the lord of the realm by reputation. I don’t mind it’s, but my theory is that every man and woman with a ‘blackening’ pain of guilt, that rusts and corrodes in the back of your mind, can manifest a threatening ‘idea’ to keep the thoughts guarded, but, some people do immeasurable things with good intentions and that conflict is resolved in The Fog. That’s what makes the character of James the most impactful to the series. I just think any character in Silent Hill could follow that concept and manifest all kinds of Dark Wardens.
Ever since hearing about Pyramid Head’s appearance in Homecoming, I made a headcanon that, because Silent Hill fed off of James’s guilt and need for a punisher, and Maria only existed because James made her up, I feel like it also took Pyramid Head as the main form of punishment from then on.
I also dismiss the Judgement ending as an additional joke ending, as it is too inconsistent with the canon the headcanon is based on. If Pyramid Head came from thin air with the only qualifier being that James imagined him, there would be no justification to Pyramid Head clones going through the trouble of “converting” people into more.
Got my Like 😎👍
Awesome - thank you!
Amazing!
Thank you! 😁
Also in silent hill origins Henry goes crazy and turns into a pyramid head as you can tell from the visions he has in the the cut scene which you can only get this cut scene in the bad ending
this is a very helpful video, thanks for posting
Glad it was helpful! You're very welcome

I have the head cannon that Xuchilbara, takes the form of Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2. We learn in Silent 3 of Valtiel, Xuchilbara, and the Cult's God.
In my head cannon, this means that Xuchilbara, leads people to truth about their actions, and punishes them when needed. Therefore, since the figure that leads & punishes James looks like Pyramid Head, it must have taken the form of Pyramid Head.
The question is, does Xuchilbara only have the one form? I don't think that is the case, since it is implied in Silent Hill 2, that each "resident" of Silent Hill experiences their own version of Silent Hill. So, in the case of Angela, Xuchilbara takes the form of the Abstract Daddy. Xuchilbara, is more of a "force" in the town, and it manifests itself based on the person visiting the town. "Pyramid Head" can be seen as a short hand for this concept. This is why I don't really object to his use that much.
This is close to my interpretation. Basically Maria and Pyramid Head are "fragments" of Xuchilbara. It can't be a coincidence that Maria and Pyramid head share the color red. I saw Xuchilbara as leeching onto a host(James) and manifesting itself as corporeal entities based off the host's psyche. Maria being James' "id" and Red Pyramid Thing being his "Super Ego".
This also ties into what I feel was the ORIGINAL plan/intent behind the Walter Sullivan character(before he was retconned in SH4). I believe that Walter did in fact see The Red Pyramid thing, but he saw it in a different form. He saw a "Red Devil"(again...pre SH4 Jimmy Stone retcon). Xuchilbara latched itself onto Walter's psyche and manifested itself in the form of an entity sharing the color red. And whatever it was...like James, it sought to bring him punishment. I truly believe this was Hiroyuki Owaku's intent when originally writing SH2.
Honestly I think you are onto something there, I don't think the entities just Vanish after their initial target leaves
I think Pyramid Head remains with his duty in mind he became a pillar manifestation.
It's hard to say since Silent Hill is a very vague entity
Like creations in silent hill from the psyche of others maybe all of them don't just Fade away, maybe they change and evolve, Take Pyramid Head for example it's unknown how many of them there really were hunting James and Maria
I wonder after James reached acceptance they lost their initial purpose and evolved to find a new one and then bringing them to the Homecoming adaptation look so on so forth, It's definitely something to play with as a theory because if you look at the boogyman ending it's clear they've learned "We need to make more of us" Perhaps in their own way creating their own Domain in the dark world to govern over as their own Hierarchy in response to the entity of Silent Hill creating them.
I could literally come up with a Million reasons why, People bitch about how they shouldn't work outside of Silent Hill 2, they have no imagination...
Pyramid head is my favorite character in these games/movie's 💕
It does feel better to see pyramid head as some kind of remnant of James' memories left behind in silent, rather than a cash cow for konami
Was kind of hoping you would touch on his appearance in the movie too
Well, on the one hand, Pyramid Head could really have been generated by the consciousness of James, but as we see from the same picture in part 2, Pyramid Head had its place in the lore of the cult long before the events of James
I believe James's Mr. Triangle is different being than Alex's Executoners or "White Messenger".
one chance is all i ask from pyramid head, one chance
I like Valtiel. He’s God’s Attendant. A minor but important character.
I wonder if/how SIlent Hill can get out of the Otherworld and be a "normal" town again.
My view is that Silent Hill exists in several "layers" of reality and barriers beneath them are thin. Outsiders like Cybil Bennett experience much less of it as she most likely only faced day-time Silent Hill and did not venture into dark or metal-infested otherside which are much closer to dominant will's psyche. She investigated illegal drug trade that many prominent figures of Silent Hill were involved in. Harry Mason had spiritual and emotional connection and it allowed him to go deeper in Silent Hill.
James of Silent Hill 2 is bit different as he is spiritual focus of Silent Hill during that game. As clarification Alessa was focus of Silent Hill and her incarnation as Heather was focus in Silent Hill 3. Walter Sullivan was prominent focus of Silent Hill 4: The Room.
Maybe there is "real" Silent Hill which is kind of sleepy resort-town in Pacific North-West. For some reason I feel Silent Hill is in there, not in Maine.
James out here is so mentally screwed he left a imprint in silent hill that will haunt it til they end of days.
You missed his appearance in silent hill downpour
YEEEHAHAHA MY BOY PYRAMID HEAD MY FAVORITE HORROR MOVIE VILLAIN OF ALL TIME.NUMBER ONE YEAH BABY
I wish i was tha mannequin 😩
I was scared when I saw Pyramid Head for the first time in the Game. Years later when he appeared in the Movie my Nightmare became real…
I think it's funny how a lot of people find him sexy lol, it took out all the fear I had, every time I play, I just remember that and puff, not afraid anymore hahaha
@@justthetruth3950 WTF 😳 Sexy? Yeah…his big head personality made him irresistible…People 🤦♀️
Why does no one acknowledge the jeep wrangler that came out in the late 80s?
Because it breaks the time line climax screwed up when they put dates in origins.
I personally don’t consider anything else other than Silent Hill 2 that has pyramid head in it cannon, I do think however Silent Hill keeps these monsters as we do see from the White Hunter version of Pyramid Head killing other monsters in its own realm
tbh the only reason he was outside of SH2 was lazy developers and the movie director not checking the sources for SH 2006 movie
What about the butcher from silent hill origins, he looks like pyramid head
So wait, canonically all pyramid heads are products of improper process?
Pyramid Head The Punisher
silent hill 2 likely happens in 90's not 80's
According to Masahiro Ito, the art director of SH2, the events are set in the late-1970s or 1980s, prior to the 1990s
The world: we call him Pyramid Head
Gay Dead by Daylight player: we call him Pyramid Daddy
Pyramid head?... I think you mean Steve.
Pyramid head is a punisher, that's why he doesn't appear in 1 or 3, Harry and Heather didn't do anything wrong and that's why he doesn't punish Alex or Elle or Wheeler
Yooooo! It’s Dead By Daylight Guy!!!
I do believe that the devolopers never intended to use Pyramid head as a character after SH2 as it wouldn't make sense without the main character however they never thaught that pyramid head would become such a fan favorite and even a true icon in the horror video game history... they now where in a difficlt Position either pleasing pyramid head fans by making him a main stay of the series but in doing so anger the lire fans who want them to stick to the lore at all cost OR pleasing the lore fans and in that anger the pyramid head fans 🤷♀️ eventually they made the right decision (imo at least) as there are more fans who want to see pyramid head reappearing then those who want the devolopers to strictly follow the lore
But tbh i don't think it really messes up the lore at all yes Pyramid Head is a manifestation of James guilt and desire for Punishment BUT it was brought to life by the mysterious dark entitity thats behind Silent Hills curse we still don't know everything about this "god" other than it likes sacrifices and punishment many silent hill monsters were created by the nightmares of Alessa and they stayed in SH too so why shouldn't the entity also keep pyramid head around? After all he is it's executioner
Soilant Hell
See yes I know about the Native American stuff , and the funny thing is , I always thought the Helmet on his head looks alot like the ARROW HEAD Charms I wear , So why can't his name be Arrowhead instead of Pyramid Head ?
Maybe we just know him as Pyramid Head but like other creatures of legends, his name changes depending on location
@@_Kuma_ HA Cool so I guess I am free to call him Arrowhead for now on lol
@@_Kuma_ That's a good point. A different region would give him a different name. 🤔
Yeha I don't consider anything from the arcade or homecoming canon
its pronounced "red pyramid thing"
come on, the historical society painting is not real
Telling the story out of order makes it make zero sense. If he remembered murdering her, the game wouldn’t have happened. I know it’s not analysis, it just doesn’t make sense to tell it the way you did.
In a tweet masahiro ito (forgive me if I spelled that wrong) states that pyramid head has a face with many frames. Though that doesn’t make much sense as he translated the tweet from Japanese to English what I got from that is maybe pyramid head’s face is constantly changing. My own head canon I guess you could say is that pyramid head is a universal manifestation of guilt and maybe his face changes to mirror the face of the person that holds the guilt.
You really included the arcade version?
Yeah
Obviously
You could also have mentioned Pyramid Head's appearance in the two Silent Hill films.
Not that second film!
As a story it's fine and imo it would be very cool if it all would fit together like this - thanks for the nice video and especially for the clarification in the description. I was just about to jump into the comments and start a rant what a huge bullshit you're telling🙈 - fortunately I saw the clarification just in time before I completely embarrassed myself😂
But yeah, seen as a story how it could be,it's really good and also very well put together - except the "Pyramid Ending" in Homecoming is so ridiculous and exaggerated fanservice but Homecoming is one of the worst parts of the series anyway🤷🏻♂️. Tomorrow Konami will announce one of the new Silent Hill games they're working on - what do you think which one it'll be? I hope it's the Silent Hill 2 Remake bc part 2 is the best part in the entire franchise,an absolute masterpiece of psychological horror and one of my favourite games of all times...
What? Homecoming is one of the worst? You ever tried rainfall, or what's it called? It's so bad I can't even remember the title.
@@zainabe9503 😂it's Downpour😉 - yes I played it and I wrote in my comment "...one of the worst",so let's say that Homecoming,Downpour and Shattered Memorys are the parts which better never existed imo...
If Valtiel has many forms, Isn't PH another form of Valtiel after all?
Today I got a ✉️..
Pyramid head belongs in SH2 alone. His appearance in other games is just lazy writing bullshit
Isn't the sledge hammer wielding bogeyman in Downpour a manifestation of Pyramid Head?
Its definitely inspired off of him.
I know people say Pyramid head is just a James thing and shouldn’t be in other games and movies but I don’t agree.
I think Pyramid Head just represents judgement in general.
It doesn’t matter who the protagonist is, Pyramid head is there to judge you.
Pyramid Head is a manifestation of James' psyche. ANY game besides Silent Hill 2 that has Pyramid Head is not cannon. Any game that was not developed by Team Silent is not a Silent Hill game.
Just curious. Would you say its just Pyramid Head that is exclusive to James, or all the monsters/manifestations in Silent Hill 2 are exclusive to James? What if Maria appeared in other games, because James brought her to "life" and she now exists out in the world? Or what about similar monsters, like the Mandarin in Silent Hill 2, and The Closer in Silent Hill 3? Even within "Team Silent" games similar monsters make an appearance.
@charles gee well said
cannot say that since all SH except shattered memories is in one universe, you just cant swallow a bitter truth
Dude, the movies. You skipped those but included the comics
the movies are hot trash and not cannon
The movie are taken from the games and comics lol why would he do that
bro abused 2 mannequins
Oh hell nah, I had vivid nightmares of people in white robes and red hoods, I didn't even know they existed, and of course witch trials why am I not surprised, dude this is weirding me out and I'm sober.
I feel Pyramid Head is only canon in SH2. The first fight with PH, he goes down the stairs opening the way for James. He knocks James off the hopsital roof and you have to jump down holes and climb down ladders to get to the octagon path when he first has his spear. He's James Sunderland's guilt and you end up going deeper to signify going deeper into the subconscious and realizing what James did. Once James watched the tape, there are 2 PH because he acknowledged his guilt and now its redundant. Then they kill themselves to show James has gotten past the guilt, they no longer exist and arent needed. Also, Maria is James's Anima (psychoanalytic theory of Carl Jung). She is exactly what James wants in Maria. Thats why you deal with Mary or Maria are the end, its based on your gameplay choices between the two. Its whatever James was holding onto, his love for Mary or his lust for Maria. If he was an executioner for all those who go into Silent Hill, wouldnt PH show up in 3? You didnt mention it, but the movie was absolute trash. Why would PH be Alessas protector, when the games stated Valtiel watched over Alessa while God was in her womb. Not to protect Alessa, but God. The movies and the games after 4 ruined the lore. Last thing. When are we gonna get a game with the Cult again? Everyone makes a SH2 remake with the Characters needing to go to SH to atone or remember something. Its no wonder the series died.
These new Silent Hill "fans" make me laugh...gooning and baiting over a muscular Pyramid Head...
I'm a roster
