Yeah I think the bumper really made that truck look good, and we worked it on our paving operation all summer and its been a really good truck...Thanks for watching
You, people, know how to build a truck, it´s really fascinating to see the whole process, excellent work in my opinion! And that´s not for the first time.
Another wannabe dump truck. A dump truck needs to be spec’d out from start to finish . You can’t take a road tractor and turn it into a dump truck Not in a million years!!! Hauling all that weight you will break axles, frame, rear ends. This is a shit show!
I wanna see more the rivinting of that back panel apolsterd looking mint and I'd like to see the welding on the dump pivot & the pintle backplate if they welded that for a trailer and how do you rig the hydraulics it's a wet tank thingy on transmission idk just been studying maybe someday lol
How do you go about finding a truck that you want to make a dump truck out of it. We're looking for a nice tri-axle here for the farm to haul grain thanks for the radio have a great day
The Farming Life Mostly online like truck paper, craigslist, Ebay, or the buy sell trade sites on Facebook. However the used market is insane right now , the prices people are listing is outrageous. Its getting harder to a bargain for a good used truck these days
Great build! Before I went to school I was a mechanics helper and we did stuff like this. Rebuilt and repaired trucks, tractors, back hoes, tracked loaders, rubber tired loaders, dozers, pans, sheep’s foot, vibrator packers and motor graders. Never worked a day there. Just had fun all day playing with the toys! We went from broken machine to broken Machine and kept em moving. If everything was moving I got to drive a dump truck. Never worked a minute.
I have had Peterbilt tri axle since 1998, 5 total best darn trucks, first one was the best 3406 Cat engine, before all DEF bull. Cummins after that 👍👍👍👍
What was the cost on the frame extenders? Did you have them made? Or get them from a supply house? Looking to extend out an 06 Columbia. Rigging up for heavy haul, quad axle. Nice job on the fabrication.
Truck looks great! What are you asking for it? We always used a backhoe to put the beds on them! Doesn’t matter. They actually have lifts for that job but who spends money on that?
21:14 I Forgive me for laughting, but it just looked exactly how i usually do things too when i hawe ideas how to get the job done faster and similar things happen to as well for the same reasons... ha ha Awsome job guys! Guys like You are the true heroes in the society!
not really. There is a gap between the ends of the perches and the cross piece so I suspect they simply elongated the bolt holes to make them adjustable.
Looks good enough to fool someone that’s not a finished dump truck almost it looks good maybe good for light loads asphalt only or gravel 20k front missing 46k rears missing thats a toy truck
TOY TRUCK MY ASS!! Boy we ran that truck for 2 FULL seasons ,we loaded asphalt and concrete tearout in it all time . Heck there was lots of times we loaded 25 ton in that truck and nothing broke on it. That truck was INVINCIBLE
I give you credit it looks good but how long will it last how many issues i bet you sold it and the new owner hates he bought it its not a real dump truck its a look a like 20kfront 46k rears for reason double steering boxes or steering ram those floats will knock the king pins out of those 14kaxles every 6months
@@Kushmans45 No it's not like I said we ran it for 2 seasons and beat the crap out of it and absolutely no issues btw the guy that bought the the has bought a truck from us in the past (06 pete 357) so if our trucks are crap he wouldn't of bought a 2nd one from us wouldn't he
Truck looks great , I do have one question though . Why don't you use the super daycab extension to fill the hole and give the driver a little more wiggle room ?
#1 we didn't want to spend the extra money #2 the dump body we had for it wouldn't of fit if we had installed that cab extension (the body would of rubbed against the back of the cab). However it would of been nice to have that because it is a little tight in there 😀
I need to add another leaf to the front of my 385 here soon. Great job you guys do!
Good video y’all do good work I watch y’all Built a few trucks You make them Sharp look in
Nice job guys!
Excellent conversion nice one. The dump truck will be much better look if you convert the 2 side mirror to single arm.
Awsome job guys 👍
Looks very good.
That my friend is a sharp look in truck. Amazing job.. I worked for WEL for a couple years. You would never know it was a wel truck
Yeah I think the bumper really made that truck look good, and we worked it on our paving operation all summer and its been a really good truck...Thanks for watching
A bit surprised you would paint the box white since it will be doing asphalt ....overall NICE job
How much does the slepper weigth??
Whta size it the sun visor looks nice

What happened to the pusher axle?
Not bad for a 386 , why so small of tanks ?
So we can fit the pusher axle
Looking good sir can I have it.
Sold that 1 last fall
I thought mad Pete was sold
Yes it is we was working on both those trucks at the same time
LeebeeTV I like the way your doing the dump truck build videos instead cutting up the video in pieces your doing an entire video👍👍👍👍
boring boring/////
I thought the yellow frame would have looked good..... CAT yellow?

should you put angles on the frame insert ends for stress relief on OEM frame
Great truck build enjoyed watching.
Peterbuilt dump truck frame rails are doubled from front to back
Where did you get that stationary cab mount ? I noticed you didn’t use the air bags
Approximately how much is it to build a straight truck like this
Great build! Before I went to school I was a mechanics helper and we did stuff like this.

Great job gentlemen, quick question, do you void the warranty by converting? And is this legal by DOT standards?
It wasn't under warranty in the first place 😄. To my knowledge, we never bothered by DOT
I have had Peterbilt tri axle since 1998, 5 total best darn trucks, first one was the best 3406 Cat engine, before all DEF bull. Cummins after that 👍👍👍👍
Great info , what stage cylinder is that ? 3 stage or 4
Those c 13 engines are surprisingly strong!!!!!!!
Yeah I agree and its been very reliable this season
*Gawd damn that's sick. Paving business obviously pays well out there. All those tri-axles you must be pumping out a lot of commercial builds!*
The stunt with the bobcat and the ram was my favorite.
Throw twin 8 inch stacks it’ll be complete
Your truck is so not Shitty I would love to own it.
Having been a former owner-operator. This was so much fun to watch! Thanks!
Thank you for this video.Did you have to extend the frame For this set up
No, I don't think we did. Thanks for watching 👍
very large very bad truck
I disagree that truck has been invincible
Dont like makng a dump truck out of a good OTR !
Then you shouldn't have watched this video then
Wow! always wondered what it would be like to turn a tandem tractor or dump truck into a 3 axle dump truck ... very very nice job 👌
Any way I can get info on estimated costs of doing something like this?
Nice build. Great job very professional. Keep the builds coming thanks
Do you guys want to build a 359 dump chassis for me.Let me know please. Its hard to find someone to do a project like mine. P.S. Like your work.
What was the cost on the frame extenders?

We always used a backhoe to put the beds on them! Doesn’t matter. They actually have lifts for that job but who spends money on that?
Wow nice
The only thing I dont like is that its white, the blue was a much nicer color. but white's an easier sell.
jeezus guys , you did a great job …..then forgot to PAINT THE AXLE HUBS!!!!
Wow I love that dump truck build awesome
A beast
Looks like a california truck. Just needed a half round with a shit load of lights
Great truck build enjoyed watching
Maybe it’s just me but that good don’t go well with the day cab... I keep seeing a 579 lol
How much does it cost to put a dump trailer on your semi. I would love to do the same to mine. Please hit me up with some info.
Shit man. I’d be proud to drive that!!
Looks like a small body
Ya turned that into a nice Rigg
Whats an average cost to turn a semi truck to a dumb truck?
Makes sense on saving money . Reason I asked is I am a full figured fellow and a lot of trucks are really tight for big guys .
The dump body has to be About 4" higher Off the frame
WOW talk about lucky I thought he was going to do a face plant on them forks.
Impressive!!
highly appreciate this share. bad ass job!
"Hello from Los Angeles, California."
Forklift operator sucked
Bonjour superbe vidéo très bon travail
Don’t sell it look truck 386
vic abbs WE DIDN'T 😀
Some mirror lights would look good
@21:25 you were talking about the big guy buba? 😂😂

Awsome job guys! Guys like You are the true heroes in the society!
Awesome Job.
How much will cost to make a dump truck labor plus materials
It all depends on the cost of the truck and if you're installing a brand new dump body or a used one
Amazing work!
Did you change the length of the cross members to accommodate for the thickness of the inner frame members ?
not really. There is a gap between the ends of the perches and the cross piece so I suspect they simply elongated the bolt holes to make them adjustable.
Hermoso trabajó
Average used parts aproxx???

What is the song in the intro?
How can I get in contact with you
vwabbs@yahoo.com
Would have made a really nice roll back for machinery moving. Great stance!!
What is the steel called that you used to double the frame and what size are they
Sorry I took so long to get back to you, We just use basic 1/4in. Steel for the frame insert
LeebeeTV steel channel?
You mean "C" channel
@@leebee816 yeah so you guys ever make your own dump body cause I think that would be a cool video
Nope we buy them
Great job you do cool trucks
Really nice 👌
Great looking truck.
Good job though
@Hello Bryan Pigdon, How are you doing?
Looks good.
what do you do with all the sleepers lol
Either we try to sell them or they just sit out back of the shop
Great video
Great job guys!
Great Job !
WHAT LBS FRONT AXLE IT GOT
Its just a basic 12k with extra leaf springs we ran it hard all season and absolutely no issues
How much does cost to do this change??? Thanks
With or without buying the truck?
Whit out bullying the truck
Without
@@luisuranga9212 that truck there was about $15,000 and that's with a used body and pusher axle and that's without labor
Thank you so much for you time .
How nice is that. Anybody would be proud to own that truck. Great job. 👍
Horn blasting for no apparent reason? I use headphones as not to wake my wife. Kills my ears.

Why did you use a sleeper cab truck? Easier to use a day cab and stretch the frame I'm my opinion. We do it all the time for wreckers
Sleeper trucks are way easier to find with a long enough wheelbase to install the size of body we had
