I purchased my 2024 Rangeline Pop Top last 11/8/24. It's another mortgage payment for me and currently it is at the dealership for repairs mentioned below. I sure hope it won't take 7 months to fix my generator : ) Issue below so far: Exterior ◎ Pop top missing seal and gap does not close all the way ◎ LED light by dump valve- water and moisture inside then constantly on until the inside dries up Interior ◎ generator error ◎ molding above the rear driver's door fell off ◎ Seat armrests difficult to adjust and passenger seat unstitch I wasn't aware of this video when before buying my Rangeline. Thanks for sharing!
@@irwinlorico1043 sorry to hear you’re having issues too! Hope they can sort them out quickly for you. Our Rangeline went in for some repairs again and has been in the shop for 6 weeks now and currently no ETA on when we get it back. It’s never ending I swear! We will try to do an updated video once we get our van back.
@@joniboulware1436 our goal is to inform people of exactly what they are getting into when they buy one of these. Glad we could help! We wish there had been more info on them when we purchased but that’s the joy of buying a newly released RV I guess 😅
Unfortunately we didn’t even know they were a brand until we had bought the rangeline. The 2024s look pretty wicked. The simplicity of the rangeline is what drove us to it and what we thought was airstream quality. There are so many good things on each of them that we like. However the propane system we don’t want, built in speakers are a waste in our opinion, tv mount we will never use and a few more things. But I’d imagine the quality of the panoramic is higher.
I remember when the Rangeline model was first announced; I was absolutely enamored with it! Hearing your honest feedback is very helpful and a good reminder that the FIRST couple of versions of a thing are almost never going to be the BEST version of that thing. I am a big believer in waiting for version 3.0 of whatever it is; v3.0 is usually well developed enough to have most of the bugs worked out of it, but not yet so overworked as to have bloatware (aka junky stuff you don’t really need) tacked on to it. Thank you for sharing your journey. Safe travels to you and your pups!
We were very excited when they first released the specs for these too. And we loved our van until everything stopped working. It’s nice when it does work but now we are experiencing even more issues so I don’t even think I would be brave enough to buy another airstream down the road.😅 Thanks for watching!!
Airstream is what Thor came from. 2 dudes acquired flailing airstream in 1980 from a dairy company and Thor was formed. Not that matters much but many people think Thor acquired airstream in more recent times and then the quality went south.
@@JTjezeb I think it was in for the AC repair when we wrote that comment. It’s back in the shop again as of last week because our timberline hoses are kinked so the heater isn’t working well. And the electric heater element is burnt out already and it took them a month to get the parts. Also some random wiring issues but I doubt they will fix those.

i have been on a journey to buy a van conversion and have been following you guys for a while. i discovered that i can build my own (actually hire someone) to do a custom van build for less $$ than purchasing a new Ridgline, and customize it to my liking. It seems evident that airstream goofed on the first attempt at the Ridgline. I am assuming that they are listening to their customers and have made some changes on the new models. That being said, the Ram Chassis is a lot cheaper than the Mercedes and front while drive is not ideal for my application. That being said, this unit as built is probably a bit overpriced for the quality that you received. Thanks so much for your candour and honesty.
The Mercedes chassis is narrower and it’s harder to get maintenance done whereas the Ram can go to any Dodge dealership which influenced our decision as well as the price difference. We would absolutely love to build our own one day or have a custom build done by someone but our time restraints didn’t allow it and we thought the Rangeline would check all the boxes of everything we wanted and it did until nothing worked haha. @@darcyandtess There is no doubt that the Promaster has the best interior size for a van build. Wider, and less angles which makes the living space bigger and more open. It is also less $$. Although the Mercedes is narrower, we decided that we needed to go 4x4 since we lice in Canada, drive 4 seasons and . . . we are skiers. It's also true that there are probably about 10x more Ram service shops than Mercedes, but the Sprinter only needs one scheduled service per year, and i was able to negotiate the first 3 years of service for free . . .I also live in a large metropolitan area where I am lucky to have a few Sprinter dealers near me.
