Prof. Harari is brilliant as always. Very few in this world are making sense. Prof. Harari is one of those rare ones.
He is a visionary and an example of what Vipassana can do to us.
Yuval Harari had been practicing Vipassana for the last twenty years. Mindfulness is the most important practice of our time. If we can all practice it. It will get reflected in our thought speech and outlook. Only a spiritually enlightened person can really make sense in times of such crisis.

I don't think so at all. Remember, he has utmost in his mind making things clear for his audience, so it can't be a too exalted level and leave out much of the audience. Like teaching in a classroom, it's not an easy job to find just the right level.

Interviews like these are arranged through the publishers. It is part of the deal with the publisher to let users know the latest book of the author. It is however sad to see ignorance taking a toll here from the viewers. All his questions were very relavent and that book talks about the future and it is very fine and right for him to have it and refer to it first hand in this time when anchors are working over time and might not be supported by the team due to WFH/lockdown. As Yuval said, it's time for solidarity. Applies to all of us.

I have Dr Yuval Noah Harari's books. Highly recommended reading. Like all humans he too has the propensity to make mistakes. To begin he is an evolution theorist. He believes God is a fictional or imagined reality, like corporations, created by man for the purposes of cooperation and control. Though a plausible argument from
an atheist point of view, he is not necessarily right because, to say the least, the very existence or non existence of God is based on belief system. We must be seekers of Truth because to believe or not believe is itself a limitation to the possibilities for discovering the Truth of what, not who, we are. We have the power of intution to seek Truth if we allow ourselves to awaken the awareness within through meditation. The practice of meditation helps to purify ourselves from negativities within in search of peace and Truth. Meditation is the priceless gift bestowed by the ancients of this great land that the whole world can benefit from for peaceful coexistence. India has lots to offer in this regard.
For Harari, meditation is an absolutely essential part of his life. If I remember correctly, he meditates about 2 hours a day, and goes on a meditation retreat for about 1 month (or 2?) every year.
Automation and AI will get a big boost now. Lots of service jobs will also be taken from humans. China is ahead of US in automation and AI.

@@SunshineDaydreams There are some theories for which evidence is scarce , for some evidence is not available and some with plenty of evidences. Evolution fits the last category , just like theory of thermodynamics or electromagnetism. Of course much remains to be explored, but yes evolution is backed by plenty of evidence.
@@SunshineDaydreams I agree with you on science being dogmatic in its current stage where the element of awe is denied. Einstein's active imagination is based out of the creative aspect of the human mind and not data crunching on known hypothesis'. Science is a product of the human mind, it's a good language, but shouldn't be impervious to deeper scrutiny or further evolution.
This video and it's wisdom needs more views. Indian leaders should mandatorily watch this fully and submit a report with completed status and reason for non-compliance. :D

This interview just proves that the host is not intellectually capable to converse with prof. Harari, he's only able to ask all the pre-scripted questions, that he may have no idea about to start with. Pity.
Harari's a dictator who manipulates from a position of an informed trustee of how the future should be. He uses mostly fear & contrived assumptions dressed as facts to forward his own political agenda.
