  • And now, the dramatic Finale! Here is the heavily operatic 3rd movement of the Grøndahl Concerto.
    Thanks to pianist Megan Gale for collaborating with me on this phase of the Standard Repertoire Project. This video was recorded at the Vanderbilt Blair School of Music in Nashville, TN.     The way you make this concerto sound extremely easy is impressive. Especially for the High C at the end. My lips never hold at the end of this piece because I don't play with the air pressure enough, that's so frustrating !

    I like the tempo. Lots of opportunity for expression this way.
