@@Insosawetrust They are both good, but a used 6600 would be better. You can also find it for $ 170/180 and 20% more than 1080 goes, but if you want nvidia take the 1080

Hello, I was wondering what the best intel cpu would be for a 7900xt, (reason for intel is only because I got a MOB that only works with intel chips)
what motherboard do you have? because some CPUs are not ideal even if the mobo is compatible. But the ideal CPU for a 7900 XT would be the I5 13600K / I7 13700K if you have more money

I'm upgrading from 11th gen. Should I go with 12400F or 12600KF? I wanted to consider 13400F too, but it's more expensive than 12600KF in my area + has worse performance than the 12600KF. I also have sufficient cooling in my system, so it shouldn't be an issue

12600KF, but it depends on your GPU too. Thanks for watching :)
Get the 12600kf it can even handle 4090s no bottlenecks.. can also be undervolted unlike the13400f... my 12600kf only pulls around 30-40w gaming... 80-90w full load (temps max at 60C.. idles at 30C)

You could go all the way up to a 4090 however if you want to wait a bit the 5090 will be coming out soon
7900 xt or a 4070 super should be able to hit 500 fps at 1080p
I play strategy games, so the i9 is recommended
7800x 3D or 14700k for gaminf, streaming, discord, and spotify all at the same time
7800x3D if you want a more power-efficient CPU, and also more upgradeable over time. I'd only go for the 14700k if you would do content creation / 3D rendering
Don't recommend the RX 5500 the PCIE 3 limitation makes it a non starter. The 12th gen series on the other hand supports PCIE 5.0 and are versitile enough to fit into any budget. Dont get me wrong I love AMD but in the current budget category they made to many trade offs.
What about 7500f?
From what is shown on benchmarks, it is about the same as the 7600. So, I'm going to assume it will pair well with the graphics cards mentioned to pair with the 7600x.

You mean in general. Yes CPUs are the most important, but for gaming, no. If I wanted to play Cyberpunk2077 at 4K Ultra settings, would you recommend me a Ryzen 7 7800x3D and RTX 4070, or a Ryzen 5 7600 and the RX 7900 XT? I think we both know which combo would achieve better performance :) btw both combos are the same price

@@ShadowGamingPC1 no one plays that at max settings. In real world you turn everything downstairs to get the most advantage plus in a regular game you will use an upscale if you want max settings at high FPS as possible and then your using more the CPU then the GPU so there is that
@@ShadowGamingPC1 plus anyone can barely afford a regular 4070 so there is that. So it’s better to always get a faster CPU than GPU because of the first thing you mentioned is bottlenecks. Like my 4080S holds back any CPU! But even a 4060 will run a 12900k at 100% utilization
