  • Capsulolabral repair (Bankart repair) is proposed in the case of recurrent anterior subluxations and luxations to restore shoulder stability enabling a return to the same level of sports activity as before. This procedure is carried out arthroscopically, a minimally invasive technique, and is generally proposed in the absence of off-track bone damage to the head of the humerus or the scapula in patients that do not play contact or throwing sports.

I got a question. How much force is required to damage the shoulder if the shoulder is in a sleeve after a capsular shift? Is it possible to make it an inferior laxative if I continuously touch the shoulder. It makes me worried that ive touched the shoulder ''too much'' and not enabling it to heal properly.
I'm 2weeks post op after a capsule plastic shoulder surgery.

Where is the humerous head in this video 🤔
So this surgery is done by dislocating the humerous head and keeping it away from the socket?

I got it done almost two weeks ago. So far not to bad! Being in a brace sucks but pain for me was less then the actual dislocations I would have. If you have frequent dislocations that get in the way of life goal then I’d say get it done as soon as you can!

I had this surgery on August 1st 2021. I am now in week 9 of recovery and I can move my arm about 120 degrees forward, 90 degrees sideways. External rotation is still tricky - I get to perhaps 20 degree. But it's getting better each day, incrementally. I hope to be back to normal movement 3-4 months after surgery.
