Great review....you’re the first person to get the boots up close to the camera so we can see better....I love your thoughts and feelings about the boots....it helps to hear an honest review that goes into depth about issues...you’ve got a great presence....would love to see more videos:)))thankyou
🖤These are such beautiful skates.💀 I love your videos and reviews. You're so honest, genuine and kind. Also your energy is just so awesome! I can't explain it. I've always wanted a RUclips myself but I feel awkward as well. You're doing so great! It gives me such confidence and inspiration! Thank you. 💕
I'm waiting on my Jack's to get here!! I can't wait this video made me more excited! I've been wanting to go harder at the skate park, but I have impalas. The skate park is a bit scary in them 🙈
ive been skating the bowl in my impalas and my boot is ripping from the heel (suprise, suprise) and im starting to feel the difference so im probably gonna get jacks soon
The black Control toe stops are a lower durometer (65A) than all the other color Cherry Bomb (71A) toestops, which is why they wear down more quickly. So don't worry, it wasn't you/a bad batch!
I love my Jupiter toe stops. They’ve got a much larger surface area and have lasted forever with a lot of use. Also, get toe guards! Then you won’t have to stress about damaging your boot!
Thanks for the tip! I ordered some Twinkle Toe stops, which should arrive next week. The RollerStuff toe caps are $55 in Australia 😳 I’ve kinda accepted that they’ll get a bit scuffed up
@@unlvckyskate6151 I live in Australia too. Yeah they're not cheap but I guess I'd rather pay an extra $55 to protect $$$$ Jacks when that's where the impact goes!
When your toe stops get thin it's not entirely uncommon for them to break, especially if you're putting weight on them in a squat position! As for how quickly they break down, it will definitely vary based on the surfaces you are on for sure. Of course the grittier and rougher the surface the quicker the stops will break down. Some stops are a lot "harder" and will break down more slowly where as soft ones will provide more bounce but break down more quickly.
I just got my moxi jacks, and I dunno if this video is mirrored, but my left boot is poppy red and my right boot is black. My skates may match your hair.
Thank you for talking about everything on the skate, including the toe stops! Does the orange toe stop leave marks on the floor? I'm thinking about those cherry bombs or the twinkletoes (thank you for reviewing those too!) but I've never had a short stem. I also primarily skate indoors. Thank you for all your help!
Thanks for the comment! Very nice of you! I didn’t have any problems with the orange Cherry bomb toe stops, no orange lines on the ground. I’m still using the Twinkle toes at the moment, I’m just rotating them to make sure I don’t have the same issue I had with the black chaya ones! 🥰
Ughhhhh I'm in NZ and I got some custom jackboots and they have finally been posted after 2 months so I hope I'll see them in a few weeks because my Impalas are falling apart 😅
Thank you for this! I just got mine yesterday and have been on Lollys for awhile (distance and street skater here). I was super sad after taking my new Jacks out yesterday because my left foot is pulling inwards also and you’re the first person that I have found to say that as well! I’m so relieved to hear someone else had the same experience and overcame it. How did you adjust to the pulling? Also, you pointed out the roomier toe box which also had me really worried - I ordered half a size up from my Lollys and the length is fine but I was worried about the room in the toe box but think it’s going to be ok now. I’m so glad I found your video! You’ve reassured me that I’ve got the right skates. Any tips on body alignment with the pulling would be so appreciated! Thank you!
Thanks! I’m glad my video has helped, I just had to stop thinking about the boot pulling me, as it was just the stiffness of the boot that I wasn’t used to. Just try to “relearn” all your tricks and you break them in and you’ll get used to them in no time!
Hi! I went from moxi lollys to the jack boots and I didn’t have any problems with any tricks I already knew, the boots are much thicker than the lollys, so take some time to break in, but since then I’ve had no problems at all. I’ve tried on lollys since getting my jacks and it literally felt like I was wearing socks that had a plate and wheels attached to them. The jacks offer amazing ankle support which should be standard for all roller skates
🤔💭Maybe your toe stops are going so quickly because you have them a little too low, so that when you stop, it puts too much pressure on the toe stop?? That could've also caused the split? Idk I could be wrong. But just a suggestion!!
hi! i got lucky on ebay with some black jacks! they're just a half size smaller than yours, so i was wondering what size your avanti plates are? thanks, love the video!
Hi! That’s great! I’m not sure what size my plates are, I had them professionally mounted by a skate shop in Australia. I recommend emailing or calling a skate shop near you and having them professionally mounted, so you’ll know it’s all done properly! Thanks for the comment!
Hey, for someone starting out on impala type skates and wanting to buy moxis.. do you think Molly's would be better due to how comfy they are or go straight to the jacks as they would probably be more comfy than the cheap skates im wearing? Hope that makes sense lol thanks
Hey! Either Moxi skates are more comfortable than impalas! There’s a big price difference between lollys and Jacks, it depends on what kinda skating you want to do. Lollys are great regardless, but I bought jacks so I could have much more ankle support when ramp and park skating. It depends how much money you want to spend too! I hope this helps
Considering you’re still starting out I would recommend Moxi Lollys! Jacks are a big upgrade from lollys, but if you’re not ramp skating yet, I would just recommend lollys!
I found the sizing to be very similar to the Lollys. They’re a bit wider, which is great for me. I have more room to wiggle my toes but my feet don’t move forwards in the boots as I skate ❤️
