Love this video. Have to say rescuing animals would be an expensive side hustle .. my horses cost me £160 a month to feed. Vet bill this month for Pablo is over £500. Yikes! It’s a lovely lifestyle but it’s costly. We stopped keeping hens because we don’t eat enough eggs, they weren’t getting sold, and the cost to feed them was rising. We just buy from neighbouring farmers now. What a lovely harvest you got. Love those days, when you pop to see if there’s anything to harvest and end up with an overflowing harvest trug. Loved watching you make the frankenpie. Made me smile..especially the vocabulary that was silenced. Sam telling you to push yourself… me thinking “yeah Emma.. crumble is easier”. Can we watch Sam make a pie next time? 😂😂 Strawberry Cheese ice cream IS the best!
In my dream farm house life I don’t seem to think money exists😂 maybe when we win the lottery hahah! We know expense from the bunnies - I almost dropped to the floor when they gave me a vets bill for an operation on an animal weighing less than a kilo 😂 lol the frankenpie prevailed! 😂🧡🧡
I think I might have been misunderstood a video or two back. I wasn't suggesting Thor didn't have enough to eat... you had introduced everyone in the home but didn't mention Thor... that was my what I meant with my comment about Thor :D That Tomato might be alright... they seem quite resilient so even with a bit of a break in the stem, it may still be ok (the tomatoes may ripen either way). Courgette fritters or cakes would be my go to for excess courgettes :D Much of my cooking is "rustic"... let's just say it's how you prove it's home made ;) You are making me want to try making my own pie base again now... and do that interlaced strips across the top thingie. Hopefully we get some apples this year so I can make some (though I do tend to go with crumbles normally). Could you cook the base for a little bit before filling to prevent the soggy bottom? I always figure if it tastes nice then it doesn't really matter what it looks like (it looked lovely anyway). Just saw the P.S. Good to hear you enjoyed it :D
Haha Thor is always there in the background but he’s a grumpy boy lately 😂 Sam’s made me have a courgette break after we ate 4 in one week 😂 but that means we’ve now got a lot in the backlog - that courgette cake is looking more and more likely 😂😂

Haha hope they provide 🐝🐝🐝
Great vlog , I could almost taste that pie , it looked good 🥧
Honestly was delicious! 😂 not sure it’s worth the effort over crumble though 😉
Your tea looks so delicious lol.
It was yummy! I’m trying to share as many recipes as I can with allotment food but forgot to film that one 😂
