I worked at the Tourism Board circa 2015-2017, at the time when tourism was picking up again after getting hit by political turmoil of the region. I used to design itineraries for content creators to capture the beauty of the culture and history of Jordan. I got to discover the most amazing places and people in my country. This video took back to those days. Tourism is the bread and butter of the Jordanian economy and the many times it has been shaken by events in the region is countless, but the way it always rises back from the ashes is true testament of its resilience. One man from Petra who has been working in Tourism for over 40 days told the Tourism of Jordan gets sick but never dies, the beauty of the place always gets back on its feet. Travel slow and engage with the people and learn their stories, be a traveller and not a tourist :)
