My favourite part of this movie is the scene in the library where we get to watch extras try their darnedest to not flinch when balloons lined with red paint pop in their faces.
BattleUp Saber no he’s right pennywise said it in both movies . The 1990s one was funnier when he said it the newer one was more creepy when he said it .
That's actually a good point about the 2017 IT balloons. They do have a creepier feeling to them due to some very subtle details pulled off with CGI. Like the fact that they don't sway in the air. They just glide in straight lines very unnaturally.
I had a milk based tea today, knowingly, and right now I’m in a lot of pain trying to shit real bad to alleviate the pain. I hate being lactose intolerant
They used belief to kill Pennywise, which is a big part of Pennywise (uses belief and fear to kill kids). It’s not that bad of a way but it should’ve been explained better
Having watched this video, there is no doubt in my mind that Stanley was trying to write "it's my birthday and nobody remembered" before bleeding out. This is canon now.
The new one had Mike call the potion they drink "Maturin" which is the actual name of the Turtle. Also, there are turtles hidden in the background throughout the film.
That whole thing with the potion and trapping It in a basket was such crap. I wish they had actually done the smoke hole ceremony and the ritual of Chud from the book.
When watching this film, I thought the spider was from that nightmare dimension in the Mist. To me, it has the same aesthetic as those creatures. Nice Pennywise laugh at the end. Dorks :D
I like the old Chapter 2 more because Pennywise is basically just heckling them throughout most of his scenes. He's not legitimately terrifying at any point, and I love of love it. He's easily the best character, and I love seeing him just mock their speech impediments, or whatever.
The most unrealistic thing to me in these movies was redheaded Richie Tozer (Seth Green) grows up to be some brown haired guy. Even as a kid I couldn't wrap my head around that.
listening the podcast on the same day this video came out is weird because MASON YOU ALREADY DID THAT ASTEROID BIT ON THE PODCAST. YOU WILL NEVER GET AWAY WITH THIS.
The problem I had with the adult Loser's Club is that I couldn't separate the actors from their signature TV roles. The idea of Jon-Boy Walton, Jack Tripper and Venus Flytrap saving Derry from immortal evil just wasn't working for me.
Bill’s ponytail has always been the most memorable part of Chapter II of the miniseries for me. Far more haunting than Pennywise or the stop-motion spider, in my opinion.
Trying to salvage something from this wreck I see. I think the whole mini series it's a classic in just how funny it is. Tim Curry, the clown design, it's the only thing that actually floats.
What's great about watching these clips is that I recognize this was filmed here, in the Vancouver area. New Westminster from the Maclure's cab I'd say.
Give this second part some more credit James!!! What made Beverly’s trio back the apartment in this new movie cool for me is seeing pennywise tell her things haven’t changed. But it doesn’t beat how creepy it is in the 1990 one.
MrSunday, we love you, mate, and that's why we've gotta tell you: Your Tim Curry laugh is a duck call. Not sounds like, not is similar to--it legit is a duck call. If you dressed up as a clown and tried to scare children by the lake, you would get two honks in before you got mauled to death by a territorial swan.
Tim Curry was amazing as Pennywise and back in the early 90's when I was like 9 or 10 I saw this movie and he scared the shit out of me. I also recently rewatched this movie and it really is awful except for Tim Curry, his performance is incredible and still creeps me out.
Wow guys how'd you get Tim Curry (famous for his role as Roger Corwin in the independent art film Charlie's Angels, directed by McG) to record that cackle at the end? Spoopy
I can only make it so far into the book. IT is a hard read these days. Like the first 3/4s are fine but it loses me at Chud. King was so coked up or something and it makes no sense. But somehow I still prefer his madness than just having the adults shout Clown! to defeat IT...
They sort of did. I believe they call it out in It pt. 1, with townfolk being pretty chill about the whole "kids get slaughtered every 27 years" thing. I actually LOVED, that locals arseholeness isn't explained by It's influence alone. In King's works, humans are always the alpha monsters. Take Bew's pedo dad, or adolscent homophobes or Henry Bowers. They're just some seriously messed up people, and though It takes over Bew's dad or Henry, 90% of time it's just them being fiends. Some people are under It's thrall; others only require a little push.
Video recommendation: How would you make an It TV series. Not another miniseries or two part horror movie, an actual TV show about it. How many episodes, the character arcs etc etc?
Right? The CGI made me laugh more than anything, it was more of a comedy in general. There was only one jumpscare that kind of got me. It all just looked so over the top and fake
The only scene of part 2 I really liked was when Beverly went to her father’s home and that old woman made her tea. Very creepy and well done in my opinion.
Granted, yes they haven't seen Stan in years, and they don't know what he looks like. But when you think about it, they just heard about Stan's death a few minutes ago, and then a severed head shows up in the fridge. I mean, who else could it be?
My favourite part of this movie is the scene in the library where we get to watch extras try their darnedest to not flinch when balloons lined with red paint pop in their faces.
😂 Always loved that even as a kid who couldn't see the seams in filmmaking.
Real. I remember seeing that. Really ruins the immersion.
They over use blood with no injuries way too much and it gets boring.

(and also 2019)
@@mrsundaymovies ACKTUALLY, the new movie chronologically takes place in 2016. Get it right, you dummy!
BattleUp Saber no he’s right pennywise said it in both movies . The 1990s one was funnier when he said it the newer one was more creepy when he said it .
BattleUp Saber BOOOOOOO
BattleUp Saber Also that scene was set in the 80’s. But mostly the boooo thing I said.
Can’t believe you forgot to mention Tim Curry’s best role Nigel Thornberry
Smashing
Perfect role for his voice
Wait what?! Omg
"Kippers"
Hmm debatable. His performance as Hexxus in Ferngully was pretty iconic.

"IT's my birthday and nobody remembered" 🤣👌
Happy birthday
Bill’s ponytail is the scariest thing of It part 2
Yeah, but that heinous face mole is a more contemplative, dreadful type of fear.
Yeah that dude is ugly as shit. They couldnt get anyone normal or handsome? Hes like jarringly ugly
Like I'm not gay but they shouldnt be that ugly. He wasnt even good at acting. Coulda picked any dude from a bar and did at least as good.
Just your average Chad it was the 90’s, everyone was ugly

Sounds like a typical Stephen King off-kilter world....not quite right
Pennywise in the book: defeated by an ancient ritual of Witt and intelligence
Pennywise 1990: killed by a rock
Pennywise 2019: killed by sick burns
Well technically he's defeated via kalimaaaaaaa in 2019
Yeah, in new one they dissed It to death.
They used belief to kill Pennywise, which is a big part of Pennywise (uses belief and fear to kill kids). It’s not that bad of a way but it should’ve been explained better

MASTERCLASS WRITING
Why does it hate?
Almost as great writing as darthsidiuos “sOmEhOw” returning from the dead in Star Wars lmfa
Speaking of Tim Curry roles... who remembers muppets treasure island? Whatta bloody movie
I prefer commie Tim
I like Tim in the rocky horror picture show
Clue
Legend
I wish I said Legend. I own it. Tim Curry scared the shit out of me as a kid in that movie. So did Tom Cruise's original set of snaggleteeth. Hahaha

Book: does some weird space ritual to kill IT
1990: kills it with rock
2019: insult it to death
Pennywise would have won if he turned into a Corn Of Coblin at the end instead of a stupid spider
True dat
Pennywise would’ve won if he had turned into the giant floating chainsaw-toothed meatballs from The Langoliers.
Or new goblin
All the guys are so handsy with Beverly. She's constantly cuddled up to someone or receiving a shoulder massage.
I take it you haven't read the book then? Because in the book when they are kids at the pond they actually all have sex with her. No joke.
bizzleblue38 Oh yeah! I haven’t read the book, but I have definitely heard about that
Still not cool handsing around people you had sex with 27 years ago and hadn't seen since...
Just be grateful they weren't as cuddly as in the book
Let us not speak about that cursed scene in the book
So you mention Tom Hanks but don’t show a photo of woody.🤦♂️
Lol
I demand Tom Hanks's imdb page
They don't want to show tomorrow hanks woody as they would be censored
The one time i make it early to a Mr Sunday Movies vid is when it's 6 AM, nice
I know I'm stating the obvious, but you two are hilarious.

Most of the Pennywise stuff in this was actually adlibed by Tim Curry.
"He ran out of blood!!!" Had me laughing way too hard!!!
best part of this is the joke about prince albert in a can. with tim curry's urHA urHa urHA
When watching this film, I thought the spider was from that nightmare dimension in the Mist. To me, it has the same aesthetic as those creatures.
Nice Pennywise laugh at the end. Dorks :D
It's entirely possible, considering how interlinked all of Stephen King's stories are.
I like the old Chapter 2 more because Pennywise is basically just heckling them throughout most of his scenes. He's not legitimately terrifying at any point, and I love of love it. He's easily the best character, and I love seeing him just mock their speech impediments, or whatever.
Mike: "I may not be a millionaire, but at least my hair ain't stupid!"
Recorded these with my VCR as a 12 year old back in 1990.
Absolutely loved them at the time.
"Excuse me sir, do you have Prince Maclunky in a Can? Well, you'd better let the poor guy out!" **Laughs like a door hinge**
In the new version you could defeat Pennywise by having him be a guest on the hit MTV show Wild n Out.
3:16 where they mention the birthday, I got an ad from oreo a second later, talking about how great the cookies are for birthday parties!
IT'S MY PONYTAIL AND NO ONE REMEMBERED
At 10:23 he mentioned ' Ocean's 11 in reverse"
Is that a thing like "The Dark Side of the Rainbow?"
The most unrealistic thing to me in these movies was redheaded Richie Tozer (Seth Green) grows up to be some brown haired guy. Even as a kid I couldn't wrap my head around that.
I really liked Tim Curry"s role in Legend...one of my fav movies of the 80s.

@4:21 That was a masterfully set up bait and switch joke, and I'm not even sure it was intentionally meant as such. XD
Lets stop saying "lets talk about the elephant in the room" and start saying "lets talk about the severed head in the fridge"
Let's talk about the severed head in the fridge, this idea is brilliant and needs more attention.
4:39, talking about how maybe one person was mad, and this vid currently has 1 dislike.
3:44 *"What does it say about me??"* sounded EXACTLY like Ozzy Man Reviews
Definitely ITALIANS. He even wrote it in ITALIC to save time
Bahahahaha
The actor playing adult Richie is Harry Anderson. He played a judge in the long-running tv sitcom Night Court.
The severed head in the fridge sounds like a metaphor
I do however quite adore the line (paraphrasing) of “I believe in Santa Clause. I believe in the Tooth Fairy. But I DON’T believe in you!”
