Can we have more of this kind of wholesome stories, please? These kind of stories would bring, sincere smiles, in everyone's heart. Times are tough and rough as it is already. It's better than watching politician celebrity-reality-tv news. Which, brought nothing but a sense of betrayal, disappointment and despair in many rakyat's heart!
@Kzaxrtij Skather I don't know. When my great great great grandpa left Ireland, the first food he took to love, on this peninsula, was Sambal Petai Prawns. He loved the Terang Bulan of Krontjong Ensemble Pantja Warna. He found the Chinese girls here, were quite bold and warrior spirit. My great great great grandma, who was amongst them, was the fiercest fire cracker, that was excellent in translation from English to Malay to Chinese. Today, I am simply humbled by such nostalgic stories.
@ELIJAH SHAKRAVARNA NG Moe Yes...wow...such a pleasent surprised 😯. I believe that, each and everyone of us carry some special talent, gift or history to add to our island paradise nations of South East Asia... regardless ethnicity or nationality. Thank you so kindly 😊.
Love and respects for these SG pioneers that have very little opportunities but lots of talents to leave us a legacy of hawker food and culture. I love their tenacities to overcome the odds to survive in SG despite the high rental cost and long working hours . Their life of service is commendable as they work not for profits but being revelant and independent despite their advance age. Singaporean pioneers waste not and want not because their life is a continue struggle against a ever increasing living costs in SG. I salute them and respect their independence. Majulah Singapura !
Hi, please do more of these stories - not only does it give these uncles and aunties more recognition and thus improving their business but it also helps us to understand the hardships they went through and they have a platform to share their stories ☺️💕
Yes is true. Its more convenient to sit at home and relax and watch RUclips video about their story and post some inspirational encouraging comments to make me feel better. :)
Uncle Teo, wish you good health and happiness. I'm very inspired by your story. Your life is a life of honesty, and perseverance. I'm going to drive all the way down to your shop to buy your delicious Min Jiang Kueh for my family, and neighbour. Keep on keeping on, and thank you for being such an amazing example to our generation and the many generations to come.
I agree. The degree you are studying now is useless when you are old and retrenched. Its better to keep fit and be able to clean tables, do food delivery just in case. :)
Thanks so much for featuring this man and his story, he's an Inspiration.. my heart aches when he has tears in his eyes... i pray that his business can prosper and he remains healthy and safe and well always.. may everyone show up n show uncle some support buying from his stall, n so happy he's selling corn version that's hard to find in Sg.. Bless him always 🙏🏻❤️

@@pokeriabhrnftan7488 I live there, I seldom buy food there and I have not seen him for quite some time (im a kid btw) my grandparents would know better, they know him
Very inspirational. Don't complain about no jobs in Singapore. There are plenty of good jobs like cleaning tables, do Food Delivery or selling Min Jiang Kueh for Singaporeans. :)
This single portion type is not commonly seen already. Most stall make the bigger portion type n then cut into smaller sizes to sell. I prefer the single portion type cos the crisp is there.
This is what happening in SG for those reaching retirement age now, companies claimed that if these old folks don’t leave the young ones cannot promote, but old ones leave and no income to feed the young ones that still has not reach employment age, then will have to go work like this uncle…
What he said is the unspoken truth we all know but never acknowledge. The good hearted and hardworking people will always be taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers and will always remain as workers for these bastards, no matter how hard they work. Being stepped on while their superiors rise higher stepping on his head.
Despite his shaky voice talking about his past, but talking bout his business and his food makes him smile broadly. Wishing him well and healthy.

Dont just give "pretentious" positive comments here. Such comments dont mean much without real actions. Go support him in action. Buy from this uncle.
This should be played regularly in all local universities.
This should be sent to all teenagers all over the world.
Meritocracy offers personal flattery and is the most self-congratulatory of all distribution principles.
why should it be played in all local univerities?

You are a tough badass uncle!
As a developed country and one of the highest income per capital, is there no social security like gov pension for the old folks?
Respect :)
so sad still have to work at this age.. what a society
How to help him other than buying from him ?

Put some Respek on this ah gong
being let go because he could not read is a bad thing - why could the company not read the documents to him?
Business people.. they would rather hire someone else who can do things quicker
Uncle buff man
I came here to learn about Singapore, not to feel bad T_T
Fit body
72 is still young if you are a politician
从uncle眼神里,可以看得出,他在年轻时被人吃的无奈,被人欺负读的书少。。
