I’m a frequent patron of hers and I can confirm she really is like this! :) super friendly and kind hearted to everyone. Please please patronise the stall, its at Far East Square, beside Ya Kun. Although do be warned! The queue during lunch time will be very long!
If the food is fresh and good with courteous service with a smile, then the wait is worth it. My parents always told me and siblings this before they retire from the restaurant business.

My ah ma was a hawker too in every aspect, right to the very last moment. She was one of the last people in Singapore that hand makes curry puffs and a variety of puffs. she'd make them right outside her house at the lift lobby frying like nobody's business 😂😂. Rest in peace mama

She love what she was doing. She is very passionate about it. She could retire from her business 35 years ago but look, she is still doing it. It is not all about money but she is happy to do that every single day of her life.
Funny thing is that's exactly how a lot of Chinese workers speaking to English customers sound like. It was funny to hear her say that and remind me of some of my co workers.

My grandma is 80 years old she runs a small shop for 50 years now i think... she always wakes up 4 am and get me from school on 4:00 pm i always help her ad should any old person will get...be proud of your grandma

Here another historic person. All those older generation hawkers are more down to earth. They are humble & generous in serving meal to their customers. I lost both of my grandma’s already, also we lived in two separate world parts. I have always wanted to have a close walk with grand parents just as like other kids sitting on their grandparents labs hearing lots of history.
