  • This video shows the unique and traditional technique of the lost wax bronze casting method. This bronze is a 3.8 mts tall Swirling Dolphins Fountain cast for a newly developed residential area in Taipei, Taiwan.
    It was cast over 8 months of work and many tons of liquid bronzes were utilized.

    It's amazing how long it takes to create such a masterpiece! the time, effort, talent, patience and knowledge of these talented people is admirable. Thanks for creating such wonderful art that most of the time is taken for granted.

    AT point 234... what is the material they are using. I have not seen this type of silicone putty? used to shape and press into the sculpture. What is that. I usually see a liquid brushed on, not pressed in by hand. Anyone know what this is? thx.

      It's a two part kneadable silicone putty.
      You can get it in many European art supply stores. The one they're using is very likely purchased in bulk, at a heavily discounted price for sculptors and artisans. There is a brand called "Siligum", which comes in small quantities and is expensive, but very good quality.
