It's been about 2 years since I bought the Rolex Submariner, and I have no regrets. The Rolex Submariner is my all time favorite watch without a doubt. I thought it was a good time to do a retrospective look at the watch and discuss 5 things I both love and hate about the Rolex Submariner.

Why they produce very less submariner ?
$8,500 will seem very well priced in 25 years. Bought my Sub in 1994 for $2,750 and wear it daily. Didn’t keep the best time until the 3rd annual service and now keeps perfect time. Best thing I’ve ever purchased.
8500 is very well priced in just 2024
What I don’t like about my Submariner? I needed to wait nearly 5 months to get it from an authorized dealer. What I love about my Submariner? Everything else. Fantastic piece that lives up to the hype.
5 months isn’t too bad, all things considered.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews no it’s not. I was anticipating never getting a call based on what I have heard on social media.
Agreed!!
I'm so glad you did this vid! I'm a married man and I have my household as my main priority. With that being said my lovely wife knows my love for nice timepieces. I absolutely have always loved the design of the submariner but that price I simply can't justify at this time in my life. Do to my love of quality dive watches I watched your vid of the Monta oceanking. Yes I know these are 2 different beast in their own classes but value for money at that price point which I'm comfortable with I don't think it can be beaten right now. Absolutely enjoy your vids and I always learn something new! Until next time🍻
The OK is a nice watch, I did a review on it not too long ago. Sure it's a different animal than a Submariner but it's nothing to be ashamed of. Enjoy it and wear it in good health!
A go to timepiece it’s called a homage but it’s a watch in its own rights. Ready. Davosa swiss gmt
Imo, this is your best video yet. You’re really finding a voice as a reviewer. I enjoyed this.
Hey thanks, that's awesome!
This is kind of funny but your only gripe really is the fact that Rolex doesn’t use anti reflective coating however, you don’t even have anti glare on your glasses. There are at least a few reasons why Rolex stays away from it. Not applying an anti reflective coating allows Rolex to keep that jewel like appearance and avoids potential scratching of that surface since in order for an anti reflective coating to be effective, it would have to be applied on the outside of the crystal. If the coating was only placed on the inside, it wouldn’t be a negligible difference. Also, that coating which is not only susceptible to scratches, degrades over time and being the fact that Rolex’s are engineered to last decades, they don’t want to take that chance. Not all Rolex’s have great legibility but the Submariner certainly does with their bigger 18K white Gold hands (Mercedes and stick) which allows you to differentiate the hour and minute hand at a quick glance and a lot of applied lume.
Haven’t watched the video but last time you did a 5 and 5 you sold the Explorer. 🤨
Haha that’s true.
I had 2 Rolex subs and now IMO I love my Grand Seiko diver sbga231 very comfortable and the spring drive the accuracy is amazing nothing compares mine is 4 seconds fast in a month but if you are dead set on a Rolex sub I understand but if u want other diver options a Grand Seiko should be considered
I wish GS made a model diver I liked the look of, but the current ones don't appeal to me visually. Still they are excellent watches.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews I like the color of the dial on the Grand Seiko Godzilla. But that watch is too expensive and I’m not into expensive limited or special editions.
GS is the Lexus of watches. Mechanically sound but without a soul.
I love all your Rolex videos, but this one has to be the best so far!!! I love how honest you are with each of your purchases
Thanks man I really appreciate that.
As much hate as the Sub gets and Rolex as a brand gets (& I for one used to be "anti-rolex" for quite some time years ago), I started appreciating the brand when I handled one (the now discontinued GMT Master II 116710LN) for an extended time. It's hard to explain but one thing I can point out is when you move or shake your wrist, a modern Rolex movement is so quiet when compared to the Omega Seamaster that I've owned for over 10 years now which by the way I love dearly, and especially when compared to my JLC Master Control which makes a weird sound when the rotor is rotating the other way. I understand it's minor but I have to give credit Rolex for their refined albeit machine-made movements. Nice work as always and your honesty is always appreciated. Keep posting! Cheers!
I guess it’s down to anti reflective coatings just don’t last as long or are as durable as Rolex would like.. a watch that will be on the wrist of someone 10-20 years after it’s original purchase could easily have the original crystal. Personally I like the lack on anti reflective coating, the light just seems to bounce around inside the watch. It hits between the crystal and the in my case sunburst dial and hits every surface of the markers and hands with the slightest of movement. I have even seen a rainbow inside my watch..It does however make it really hard to get a good picture of it
If that were their concern you'd think they would want AR coating, so as to encourage people to pay the extra fee to have the crystal replace during service every 5-10 years.
Time sure flies. I still remember the video the day you got it. The journey continues.
You can say that again, time does certainly fly. Thanks for watching!
Luxury watches are just that, luxuries. Nobody needs a multi-thousand (or more) watch. My take on it is if you are going to spend that much on a watch, it should be one you'll enjoy however it is you enjoy it. While many like wearing their watches, there are some who just enjoy owning them as pieces of mechanical art. I see no issue with expressing one's opinion about a watch as far as whether it's something they'd want, but comments like "XXX brand sucks!" really don't serve any purpose. There are several dive style watches I'd prefer for myself over a Submariner. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the design. It's just another watch that I can admire without the desire to own one myself.
looks like its sat in a safe... after 1 week of owning my Rolex its have more scratches then yours...
I have a copy of Road and Track from 1974.
The rolex advert shows a msrp for the stainless
Submariner at $428.50usd. Converted to 2019 that's
just shy of $2500.
Thanks for sharing the video Guy as always it's very informative and very well put together Thanks 👍
Thanks Eric!
Another interesting video Guy. From one Rolex fan to another, keep enjoying that beautiful Submariner! I'm hoping that they introduce a new one next year with the new movement with the 70 hour power reserve.
You think next year will be the year? If I was gonna bet on it I’d say no.
You might just be right. As you well know, Rolex just doesn't care what we want or think, unfortunately.
I have never been able to get past the lug size of the current Sub. I think it looks better in pretty much all other aspects than the previous model but those lugs are just too thick for my taste. I've heard rumors of a new model for 2020, if it's true, I'm hoping this will be addressed. They (slightly) reduced the lug size on the Batgirl, so there's precedence.
The GMT has always had a slimmer lug profile than the Sub, in the current iteration of the ceramic modern watches.
@@JustBlueFish sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant they reduced the lug size on the Batgirl compared to the Batman.
The great thing about this video , is someone who is willing to dish the dirt and dislikes of a great watch , the best way to improve things is not to be biased and say what you think in a non disrespectful fashion ,, as is the case here ,, cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
¿Waiting list? They produce almost 1 million watches per year. I love the Subby, but i hate the tricky policies of marketing from the company. F.... Rolex.
Hi! From your experience wearing this, does it outperform 48 hrs power reserve? If so, by how much? Thanks!
Thanks a lot for this honest report! I own the same reference since 2015 and still love it as well. I absolutely agree regarding the quality. A Rolex is Rolex. Period. BUT I also agree that the QC isn't up there were you would expect it. That's really a shame. I also experienced some issues on my Sub. After I bought it I noticed that the bezel didn't line up correctly. Not a big deal but you don't expect this on such a watch. Secondly and a lot more impacting was the movement issue. The crown was "sticky" when pulling it out and sometimes it made some frightening noises while winding. So my Sub went back to Rolex HQ in Germany. Gladly they fixed everything but the next fail was that the accuracy was worse than before after it came back. Before the watch was running under half second a day fast. After the service it was running 1-2 seconds a day fast. A great result for a mechanical watch but not for a Rolex where you know that it can run much more accurate. So I brought it back to the dealer and let them fix it a second time. Well. Nevertheless I love my Sub. Never had any more problems since then. But you just have to realize that NO brand is free of flaws. Sadly enough I had more issues on my higher end watches than on the more affordable ones... thanks again for the video!
Enjoyed this video as It was straight forward @ honest.. Thanks 👍
Thanks John.
i believe my 116000 OP has same movement as no date sub, love it to bits and didnt have to wait for silly phone call
The OP is a great option. Definitely a good choice.
Great detailed video! Do you still prefer this over your previous Explorer MK2? Is it a scratch magnetic like the Explorer? I take that you enjoy the glide system over the Easylink. I'm looking to replace my Explorer with the Sub because the Sub has more features like the date function and bezel. Even though the Sub is 1mm bigger in diameter, does it wear small due to the larger bezels?
I do prefer it over the Exp, and it does scratch easily but because of the ceramic bezel the scratches are limited mostly to the sides of the case. The Explorer with it's fairly broad high polished bezel showed scratches right in your face because that bezel was so exposed.
This is a great review, thank you for sharing your experience owning a Submariner for the past two years. I find you more objective in this video than in previous videos about Rolex.
Thanks buddy.
Great video.
I just got my first Rolex 3 days ago, and how could I get anything but a Submariner? I got the Hulk, the version I have wanted for the last 7 or 8 years, even when at the time, most didn’t like the all green. I purchased it from an AD, and took 10 months to get in. My personal experience with the AD was awesome.
I will also agree with you that my personal biggest surprise with this watch is how much I love the glidelock. Even though the clasp is a little “longish”, it is soooo comfortable, and to be able to adjust it on the fly is insane.
Congrats that’s awesome. 10 months isn’t so bad, all things considered.
Are you planning to do review on Omega FOIS? Or what would you think about it compare to the MOTM?
I did compare it to the MOTM in the full review video if that watch.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews Yeah. I watched that video until the end and you said you were considering it as a good alternative for the MOTM. Just want to see another deep detail review for FOIS from you, sir. Really enjoy your video.
i had some problems with my 2year old Royal oak and 2 Patek watches. problem with the crown and movement unfortunately . I had my GMT and Daytona in more than 20 years now and had no problem at all. in my experience Rolex is the most reliable watches i ever had
Regarding the AR-coating, it is strange that Rolex just have applied it on the date cyclop, and left the rest without it. Thanks for a interesting video!
Thanks for watching!
Your honesty is much enjoyable. And highly appreciated!
Thanks
I wanted to get it for my birthday but it came about a month late. I love the way it looks and didn't want any other watch.
Hi Guy, how do you like the 114060? What was the primary reason you chose the 116610LN?
Cheers, Rob
Rolex and Tudor have questionable QC. When shopping for my first luxury watch, I saw multiple Rolexes with alignment issues on the dial. I returned a Tudor for dust under the dial. I almost bought a different Tudor a year later and it also had dust under the dial. I ended up with an Omega Seamaster Professional instead when I got annoyed with Rolex/Tudor. I've had it 2 years now and it's pretty much perfect and I love it. It is running 4 seconds slow a day though. I think it might be slightly magnetized. Used to run plus 3. However, the dial is perfectly aligned (the bezel is aligned for each and every second indicator not just the 12 position), there is no dust under the dial visible to the naked eye, and the AR coating is great (Rolex is missing out!). I'm kinda OCD so I appreciate when everything is properly aligned and there is no dust or whatever in the dial. And really should we expect any less at these prices? I mean seriously!
Mine is a 1997 and for some reason (if i understand correctly) the no date (or 2 line sub) does not say superlative chronometer, but the same year with the date does, do you know if this is true?
I've had a few nice watches in my life such as Cartier and Breitling and they were very nice too. But I have just bought a new Explorer 214270. I wanted a Sub but as you say they aren't available. My Explorer is quite exquisite and beautifully made. The materials and the design are exceptional. I love it and am sure it will hold its value but not increase by the same value as GMT and Subs.
Very nice, enjoy that new Explorer!
Do you think the Rolex supply issues will be over in a few years? or do you think this will be the new norm?
I don’t know, but my guess is this is the new normal unless people stop being interested and buying them.
When the economy slips is when you will see more supply.
AR coating does scuff. I have marks on my Omega PO crystal that only removing the AR will fix. New crystal at service will be pricey I suspect. I’m tempted to polish it out myself. It still has AR on the inside after all. So, I get why Rolex doesn’t.
Yeah I was mostly implying they need it on the underside.
Your review reflects my experience with this watch, I've previously owned a 5513 and 14060M so have lived with the older style cases and loved them. However I've had wrist time with the Ceramic Date and everything from accuracy to build quality and solidity makes it a great piece. I will admit that pre supercase owners have a good augument in not liking it , but having owned these previous more vintage type sub models it's style grows on you. Interesting to see what changes or upgrades are around the corner!! Great video.
I’d like to own a pre-ceramic. They’re cool too I could see having both but I’m sure this would still be my favorite.
Found a Rolex submariner date....at an AD.....and 10% off.....dabs a tear from his eye....
Those were good times.
My brand new Submariner stopped working. Of course it's with Bill and warranty. I'm quite shocked. Would like to know if this is common, and any advice would help. Thanks
Great video Guy!! Coincidentally, I picked up a submariner date today!! I love the comic book prints on the wall. Is there a new watch your considering in the near future? Best regards
Awesome congrats! There’s not really any serious new watch considerations right now.
I don't like the lugs on the submariner, Previous submariner models look better. If they improve the lugs the watch will look more elegant.
Lots of people think they will change that on the next version. Time will tell.
I like the lugs as I’m a watch beater. After a couple of polishings the sub will look better than new.
I wasn’t an immediate fan when the “supercase” first arrived, but having owned my 114060 sub going on 7 years now, I have to say I prefer it over the 5 digit subs(I had a 14060m prior). And, actually. if you go back to the early submariners, they bear a strikingly similar blocky shape, much closer to the current model than the previous 5 digit cases. Either way, the sub is such a design icon, it’s a case of pick your favourite.
I don't own one, but I love the design.
Of late, however, my brain is into earlier models.
Pre ceramic, etc...
(Sigh)
Thanks for watching.
Well said and great objective analysis. Thanks for the video, Guy.
Thanks Miguel.
Excellent presentation of your experience with this watch and opinion about it -and I say that, even I'm not a fan of Rolex design.
Thanks!
Please do a sotc of your watches.
It’s on my todo list.
I own a 1961 ref 5512 Rolex Submariner with pointed crown guards and a gilt dial with chapter ring and exclamation dot. The best watch ever
My opinion on why Rolex doesn't have AR coating on at least the Submariner/seadweller: there's no glare undereater to worry about. Now as to why there isn't on the DJ/DD and Explorer, seeing as those watches are for the boardroom, and adventuring across the globe, is beyond me.
Ya they really need to put it on those watches at a minimum.
MY Tisell Marine Diver with a miyota movement is 5 seconds ahead since the time i purchased it (21/10-19) and i set the time exact on second same day i got it.
Great video man, concise and straight to the point.
Thanks
My biggest pet peeve with my two Subs were crooked rehauts, misaligned dial text and a crooked bezel. Ridiculous. Ended up getting rid of them I couldn’t get past it.
The new Seamaster is nice but it will be dated quickly whereas the Sub will still look timeless over the years....
I really do appreciate your honesty when you talk about watches. I found this video on your Facebook page. They are a lot of money and hard to come by to get at MSRP. I will be honest I like the case on the newest Pepsi more than the sub. It just fits better to the wrist, well for me anyway. The pre super cases were nicer too.
Thanks Scott glad you liked the video. I love the new Pepsi and I wish I could get one but if I had to pick between the Sub and the Pepsi, while it might be close, I'd stick with the Sub. Both are fantastic however.
Well said!
Thank you sir.
Well done and objective perspective regarding your Rolex experience.
Thx for your great videos, well documented and articulated, truly appreciated! Just a comment on the absence of AR coating: it isn't as bad as I first anticipated. On youtube videos, the artificial lightning the bloggers are using is super bright and at certain angle completely "blocks out the dial". When seing this numerous times it almost became a show stopper for me but then I saw the Sub a few times at my AD in the flesh before pulling the trigger. To my eyes the absence of AR gives the dial of the Sub all kind of shade of greys which I actually quite like! I've never came across an angle from which I cannot see the time (the gold around hands and indexes always stands out from the glare); to me it does not make the watch less legible but I wish Rolex apply AR on the inner face of their cristal. Got my 114060 2 months ago (after waiting 5 months in Lausanne). Keep on the good work.
My Sub has been perfect and I've heard a number of times from ADs and journos that the AR is not considered as it degrades over the years, which makes sense with Rolex as they are big on the long term quality now, post aluminum bezel days of course.
Artificial scarcity is working out exactly as Rolex intended. How else could you convince people to line up and pay MSRP and be grateful for the opportunity otherwise? Watches isn't even what Rolex does best... its how they run a business.
Why do they care if people pay MSRP. They get the same amount of money regardless of the dealer discount. Its the AD that loses margin, not Rolex.
@@JustBlueFish I'm sure it gives Rolex more leverage over their ADs when they can control who gets which model and how many. Plus it prevents grey market dealers from undercutting ADs massive as is the case with omega.
“The Rolex Game”. I disagree with those who have this perspective. It’s in my opinion what allows these watches to hold their value. You talk about Omega immediately losing value after purchasing. I believe the same would happen with Rolex if they had similar volume in the market. Yes it’s a pain in the arse. BUT, it keeps them more exclusive and special. My 2 cents.
Do you feel that this is Rolex’s fault for availability or private AD (instead of company owned boutiques) that funnel supply elsewhere (grey market dealers)?
Great video. Thanks, Guy!
Thank you Joe.
I can’t wait for the 2 year review of your Rolex Tortuga!! 👍
Haha ya we might see that in April!
Great video. Are you a fan of Prince Namor The Submariner comic books?
I’ve read some story arcs in Fantastic Four with Namor that were good. I’d say I’m a fan but he’s not my favorite character.
Was thinking about the Sub but went with the watch that has dethroned it...the Black Bay 58.
40% of the price so yeah, be dethroned no way
I was thinking about the Sub but went with the Steinhart Ocean One 39 Black Ceramic..... Bang for the buck. Looks awesome and the best part, no waiting list required 😅
I wasn't sure it was your video without the film projector intro!
Amazing you got yours retail. You got super lucky.
I think they don't use AR coating because they don't have to. People are going to buy them anyway. That's one of the thing I don't like about the brand, besides their retail shenanigans... because of their bubble-like popularity, there's not much pressure on them lately to continuously improve their products.
haha, ya I was playing around with some new intro ideas and wrote some music that I wanted to include in some a video so I decided to give it a whirl.
I love diver watches, however my favourite Rolex is the AirKing with green logo cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks!
Why not use your new guitar to make intro music, sounds like fake synthetic music. Love your vids. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the accuracy updates.
I wrote that electronic music. I’ll do some guitar tunes in the future I haven’t written anything I’d care to share yet on guitar.
Alright, we know it's an 116610, but you might want to include that in your description, if not in your title.
My Seiko 7s26 is -13.4 seconds after 44 days worn everyday in all activities (-0.3 sec deviation ). Three year old watch BTW.
I can vouch on both 2017 sub gaining 1/2 sec a day and also my 7s26 hitting same time as yours! I love them both!
What a beautiful watch
Agreed
Interesting video and furthermore a great watch. Rolex' workflow strategy is interesting in that in order to maintain a level of prestige that it's always been known for you have companies like Omega who try and want to compete in the prestige stakes but they annoyingly do the opposite to Rolex. Omega flood the market with their so called limited editions and bring out new versions of their respective product lines almost every other year. There's no time (pun intended) to establish their product lines to truly be iconic like Rolex. The only thing that comes close are the speedmaster and the planet ocean but ultimately, Omega will never catch back up to the prestigious levels of Rolex. Omega for the most part are too commercially juvenile.
Thanks for watching buddy.
I love watches I love Rolex. No I don't own one $. If I had The cash I would get a two tone 36mm Datejust. My question is. The Submarine you own the same one that Steve Carrell wears in THE BIG SHORT? Because that is one sweet piece that grabbed my attention the first time I watched the film.
P.S
Love the framed posters in the background.
Guy curious why you say the new Omega SeaMaster in some ways is superior to the Submariner. Can you elaborate please ?
Joseph Pyburn I love Rolex and Omega and I own the new Seamaster and have looked at many Subs. I know some will hate me for saying it but the new Seamaster feels and looks like it’s a much better made watch. The fit and finish and especially the AR crystal on the Omega is noticeably better. Rolex Should have given the Sub a refresh a few years ago. The Resell value thing is only relevant if you don’t intend to keep the watch and only relevant if you can get the watch. If you pay over retail you could really get your fingers burt if the bubble bursts.
Hey Lee thanks very much for your reply and detailed information 👍🏻😉
I saw a super case sub tonite actually darn ugly to my eye. I have a very beautiful GS I look at daily so I guess that can make anyone picky. I like the wimbledon dial DJ2 that is the extent of my current Rolex like these days. And I think at the price point of Rolex 70 hour Power res should be the norm, I think they are slowly going to get folks to look and go to other brands like I have.
Most people don’t like the super case and then when they see it in person they start to like it. At least in my experience talking with people. I’m surprised you didn’t like it.
@@JustBlueFish well man I have had a few Rolex watches so I am not a hater. I really think that case looks off, maybe I could grow to like it but I don't see me ever getting one with that look. I ended up getting a SINN 556I after I saw your review, its like plus 1sec a day a real awesome little watch. Kudos to you.
The maxi case needs to be be redsogned. It will happen Baselworld 2020..
2023 would be my guess.
@@JustBlueFish that prediction didn't age well
Totally agree: the new design is a masterpiece
I learned so much watching your longer video of the Submariner review and was unaware of the small differences as I still haven't bought one.
I must say it's ofcourse almost mission impossible to buy one at an AD for listprice- but to compare 2 or more to ''pick the best one' , that must be mission impossible x 10. If they kindly allow you to buy one and put one up on the counter, I'm pretty sure they will drop their jaw if one asks if they got another one laying around to compare with.
Excellent video guy
Thanks buddy.
may be its because there are so many channels talking so much about Rolex or comparing every other watch with Rolex, but its just my feeling, and sadly i dont own a smp 300, yet 😉
Thanks for watching.
Great review, thanks.
'Cmon, for nigh on 10 grand, ANY non-neglible faults are completely unacceptable.
Great review,thank you
Hey Guy, I found your Submariner videos very helpful. I’ve owned my 116610LN for about 2 months now, such a quality watch!
I actually like the way the cyclops has AR coating and the rest of the sapphire doesn’t, really gives the date that black hole look.
Glad you enjoyed the videos and enjoy that Sub!
I too hate their fabricated availability shortages. Lack of available always makes something more desirable. Always. They are playing with peoples minds.
They don't have AR coating on them, because it can deteriorate.
Sub is probably a perfect watch by modern day standards..hardly anything to improve on it other then maybe a longer power reserve wich is kinda irrelevant for those who have it as one watch only...the only downside to it is that everybody wants or has one😔
This Submariner is an evergreen. A quintessential for both watch geeks and not
Well-argued points. However, I have never liked the aesthetics of the Submariner: fundamentally, I think that it is an ugly watch. This is particularly the case when considering the modern renditions of the original models (e.g., the chunky lugs). In addition, I think that its ubiquity and associated stereotypes curtail the pleasure of owning it. To each its own, I know. But I also know that many folks feel as I do (not that it matters to me).
There are so many options out there we don’t all have to like the same stuff. It’s one of the beauties of this hobby!
I wish there were more like you. Then there would be more for me. Cheers
@@derekshearer9049 If there were many more like me, you would not want the Submariner. Cheers!
@@josephknecht4272. Why would that be. I am more interested in the Daytona and seeing l own a black GMT l am not interested in the Sub. I was referring to Rolex in general. Cheers
Very good content
When is the recommended service to be completed?
every 3-5 years if my mind serves me right, does depend on make, model and year tho.
Any updates from Ginault?
Nope nothing.
Rolexes will be available to whoever wants them shortly.
At least that is my prediction.
You can buy an AR factory top tier rep for 600 and its 99% of the quality and finish of the genuine. Spending 10,000 on a steel sport watch is seriously crazy!
Thanks for watching.
@@JustBlueFish you are so butt hurt loool
Isn’t there ar coating on the cyclops ?
Rolex is downsizing their A.D distribution network so it will probably get even worse trying to purchase a Professional Model.
I don’t know if that’ll matter, if it’s even true. If they make the same number of watches the number of dealers doesn’t much matter other than having to travel a bit further to buy one.
Truth to be told, i never liked Rolex because of the hype and the bulky look including the metal bracelet as i never liked it, but as a small collector i said to myself i need to try one and see and i am glad i did it, my no date submariner is for all occasions and i advise to who have means to buy it, it opens a lot of doors believe it. To convince my wife i told her i am buying this to share with my son and this is true as it will be his one day.
Theory. Rolex, like Pappy, chooses to eek out supply to create the demand. Rolex could not justify the price of the sub, with players like the SM300 selling for less than half, without the exclusivity created by marketing and controlled supply. That these forces keep their 2nd hand values up makes it all the more justified in the buyers mind to spend a criminal amount on the stainless diver? No question a beauty. But the best watch in the world? The most beautiful? The best diver regardless of price? 30% of the the guys in the city are wearing your exact watch you spent 10k on. Or is theirs in the shop? That said, I want a Hulk...ha ha!
My opinion if your buying a Rolex an your having any problem at all with a brand that hold themselves in such high esteem an the people that buy them shouldn't be having any quality control problems at all an not as much as I heard from countless people that have bought them . So if your paying retail for a sub that's still a 8 thousand dollar watch an if you can't do that your paying around 12 thousand an really at that price you shouldn't be having any quality control issues.
You make a good argument.
