WG removed stealth radar in the past because OP, few years later: oh let's release a ship that has stealth radar. WG removes Thunderer because OP, hey let's release Vincent after which has a little fewer turrets but also has long range torps and still have the 64% OP fire chance shells, WG released Smaland and removed it for OP, hey let's release a new EU DD line soon who has radar AND smoke! What a freaking circus
Not the same WG, they are far more willing now to add OP and broken mechanics to the game. We are at end of life with the game so they will be adding dumb stuff to keep money rolling in and any sort of engagement they can. I expect more broken ships and weird mechanics as time goes on. WoWS peaked many years ago with mechanics/ships and the Free to Play/Service model means it just keeps getting changed and messed up and not always for the better.

Mino has been able to stealth radar since its release. Stealth radar was never removed. It was removed on petro, because petro was already OP without it
For better or worse I learned the hard way that one counterplay to stealth radar is subs at periscope depth. I got hard spotted in Edgar, popped radar, was very confused at first why I couldn't see anyone and then was promptly deleted by a Vermont salvo. :(

its not that bad, im almost done with the campaign, havent played that much. though i did some missions in co-op mode to finish them fast and get brisbane with coupon before it expired. still had to buy some tokens but some silver, 100k freexp, some coal and steel is not a big loss.
It isn't the time that's the problem with the campaign it's the resources needed. Credits, coal, steel, FXP they are asking for all of it. Even community tokens are part of the program. At least if you want to buy the random bundles with resources that will get both the ship and the commander. And as a resource suck it seems absolutely brilliant for the devs especially since the amounts being asked for aren't EARTH shattering but will still put a significant dent in your grind for other ships, commanders and goals... As a girl I REALLY want the commander since female captains are few and far between in the game. They've said the ship will be available later for coal, yet great no problem then. But they haven't said squat about the commander and I'd hate to miss out on her.
Same, that's why I got Matilda first. Brisbane will be in the game anyway so whether you get her in the campaign or later on, it's not a problem. But it's not sure yet if Matilda will be sticking around, so it could be that once the campaign ends, she's gone and only those who took the time to get her will have her.
Hey PQ, what about a video featuring free xp ships before they are converted to coal ships? Since they are mostly tier IX and we like to see you suffer it may be a good idea for a "interesting" video. Plus I would like to know if you think they are worth the free xp since coal is a bit harder to get and the competition is plenty.
I personally noticed that free xp is much harder to get after the rework. Maybe its just me but i got gronningen as my first free xp ship and it was super easy, then rework happened and getting to milion free xp seems much harder now. Since i got gronningen, i bough 2 special commanders and 1 coal ship so idk if free xp is that easy to get anymore. Blue boosters give usually 5-10k of free xp per battle, i used to be able to make 20-35k quite easly. Red boosters are to rate for free xp to be as easy to acces as it was free rework. Thats just my opinion
gronningen is the only fexp ship worth using fexp on

I'm honestly only going for the captain this time around, 19 points is 1.7 mil CXP for a lineup that seemingly won't get any regular tech tree lines, also sitting on a million coal.

The thing is, there isn't much of a choice for Commonwealth ships. One battleship, about four cruisers and then around three destroyers. And out of that only three of those ships are really available to people. Hector and Vampire II are for RB. That's about it for Commonwealth. So if you want to play Commonwealth and especially if you got Matilda as well, the selection is rather thin and it becomes a must to get Brisbane for T10.

What i noticed so far is that you got to choose between Brisbane and Matilda if you dont want to gamble (~90% of the gamble containers are trash btw). Correct me if im wrong.
For the missions you get 110 tokens each chapter. That makes 550. I also recieved 15 tokens, dunno where i got them from. Then im at 565 after all missions. So i only need to get the first 30 tokens for 12k coal to get Brisbane before the coupon runs out after the 17th. With coupon she is at 595 tokens.
All other tokens for resources would only give me 270 tokens. And thats the point where they want to lure you into gambling, to also get either Matilda or Brisbane, depending on what you got first. So dont waste your resources further if you already got one of them.
Since i really want to get Napoli, i decided to go with Brisbane and pass out on Matilda. Yeah she looks nice but she doesnt offer any unique skills. If you really want her then do the missions and get her. Brisbane will be available for coal later on.
I would have preferred they introduce historical heavy cruiser Brisbane one instead or even better the Brisbane two that I served on :) Are you doing a video on the web campaign PQ ? You unlock the mission in the browser but it doesn't say what it is lol. Cheers, keep up the good videos mate :)
You can access the campaign from the armoury. The missions come up in the combat missions tab. Good luck!

Bit disappointed no commander with upgraded skills, let alone talents. But I'll probably grind it out, it's an Australian ship!
Not really Minotaur concealment but close (+0.8 km full concealment).
The big hit is from radar 12 km vs 10 km = stealth radar 2.2 km vs 1 km.
you need to know, it is almost 10km when you spot a DD and that will not be a effective attack distance for brisbane to DD, the more usage of Radar is gaining information or intimidate
I haven't played the game for about a month, but was going to get back into it to get the Bisbane... but the idea of hard grinding the game again for a web campaign "dockyard" has zero interest right now. At least WG was smart enough to add the ship for an earnable resource so I think I will just get it for that later. She seems like a decent ship for a giveaway though. Right now the missions are not too hard, but I fully expect it will ramp up VERY quickly. Too many other games worth playing to spend all the time on WoWS.
This has been my experience in the last three years. There was a time I'd swear by WOWS as the best F2P game on the market (and if you strictly follow the F2P direction and stick to low-mid tiers, it's still a very rewarding experience) but lately I've come to realize that I genuinely enjoy a laid back MMO like SWTOR more. I don't have to grind in SWTOR because the writing and wordlbuilding carries the game. This isn't the case of a vehicular shooter like WOWS. Hell, I think I enjoy Azur Lane more these days simply on account of it having a story that F2Pers can participate in and follow to completion. If WOWS gave us more incentive to play Scenarios/Operations, I think the player base would grow and stabilize at a self sustaining position, one which would still be happy to pay for new playable content as it is released.

I just got this ship, it's fun though I thought it had access to minos AP, so when I tried to melt a DD like I would in mino I was disappointed with overpens.

My theory build for this boat is Gun Feeder, Demolition Expert, Consumable +10%, Priority Target, Adrenaline Rush, Superintendent, IFHE, Concealment.
If you play radar mino you will probably like this ship a lot, however for the rest of us it doesn't feel like a remarkable ship... as a BB main I worry about how easy this is to dev strike when spotted

It has a potential in clan battle. One can use it in place of mino paired with legendary haru or legendary gearing.
Mino has historically not been a good choice for CB.

Different as in worse.
I play CO-OP battles mostly and I find Brisbane very strong in the PVE. I love Minotaur but I am loving Brisbane even more. It is worth the price.

not getting it for the ridiculous resources they are asking from us just to get the 300 pirate tokens. (only way to get to 595 tokens on time before the coupon expires)
For anyone wondering, in order to get the total of 300 tokens you have to spend: 20m credits, 2400 steel, 24k coal, 6000 community tokens and 200k free xp

It's designed to be impossible to get everything for free. If you want to get everything that's "Free" you're going to have to dedicate your life to it or pay money.
tbh they should nerf that island on that map. It's a dominant, asymmetric position whenever Cruiser Tears gets into the CB map pool and ofc in randoms too

Not really sure the 15% loss in concealment is worth the gain with increased HE damage skill.
I got it, just about ok in Co op, randoms, dead in seconds
well, I just spent all my community tokens on supercontainers 2 weeks ago ... xD
I plan on picking her up regardless as I have 700k coal and else to spend it on. I have no clue why anyone would spend dubs in random bundles or 1200 steel for a meh coal ship. I'll take the commander as I don't have many for Commonwealth ships.

Why didn't you use your Radar more...? The Annapolis was still in your Radar Range even when he (initially) went dark... your Radar would have kept him spotted a little longer, even without that last RNG Fire....... don't understand building into Radar, and going a whole game barely using it..... good video, though.
Don't think i can finish this web campain, needs more time than a dockyard event in only one month.
So many years I watch you, you've become a CC, you've played so much of this game and yet, you still can't lead correctly with most guns.

Nah just grab the captain. All the extra resources you have to put down for the Brzbn’ (like 1.2k Steel!) is just not worth it.
This whole event is such a hoax. You have to spend at least 100 hours or so which is insane. Played halft the day and havent finished 1 of the 9 mission chains. Only played ranked with high winrate and fast xp and credits and boosters and everysthing still almost no progress. WG and free stuff is so deceiving i hat ethese guys. Just say yo uhave to spend tons of time and other resources if you want to get it just beeing honest would be better so you know what youre dealign with but no wg sucks.
ranked is a bad place to grind the missions, since the XP multiplier and potentional damage is way lower for the same time, the only time you go ranked is the get into top 5 of your team 10 times (ranked is 6v6) so just dont be last and its done in 10 games
@@Polarfuchs1997 Its quite the opposite at least if you pay add you get a kill a cap or two and after 10 min gam eis usually over and you get your 1.8k or so. Random battles are not that time efficient when it comes to xp and credits damage is different story.
Did many missions easily and fast with duck fights. Got my 550 tokens, was not that hard.

Wish we could hear the voiceover for this captain because for me they are often hit or miss.
Otherwise I'll go for the ship, because i don't think that grind only for 1 voiceover isn't worth it. Especially once we get a "real" unique commander with special skills for the commonwealth this one will rott in reserve like my Jon Doe or Honoré do these days.
She was featured on the official stream yesterday. She’s kinda cringe in a fake piratey kinda way. Her selling point is really that she comes at lv19 straight out of the box.
As someone that sucks at light cruisers with no smoke, cpt seems like a better option
